As the doctor and nurse left, Neon started emptying the contents of the small bag. Regan pulled a syringe out of thin air and started to mix what was in the bottles while Neon mixed what was in the jars. Regan noticed I was still in the room.

"Could you leave us for a moment?" She asked with an apologetic smile. When I didn't move instantly, Neon took a step towards me but was stopped by Regan putting an arm up. I give a nod and take my leave. Just as I close the door behind me I get a text 'Don't leave completely just yet, wait outside.'

I still don't know who's sending me these texts; I have a hunch it's Neon. I grab a coffee from a machine and wait for who knows how long. As I wait I hear another news report about the missing princess. I hope the princess is found soon. People come and go while I sit there and wait. Finally Neon emerges from the room, wiping her hands on a white cloth stained red. The sight of it makes a lump form in my throat, making it had to swallow. She leaves the door open, I take that as an indication as to go in. As I enter Regan has a fresh bandage wrapped around her upper arm. She seems more relaxed, her eye lids flutter, almost close to falling asleep until she noticed I was getting closer.

"Sorry about that. I need to get rid of the nightshade as soon as possible." She says after a yawn. It looked like Regan was about to fall asleep, I turn to start to leave but she grabs on to my arm. "Don't leave." She holds on to my sleeve like a child. At that point I see she is just a child, scared and injured. I spent some time talking with Regan, her words started to slur together, I started to speck quieter until her breathing slowed and her grip loosened. As Regan softly mumbles in her sleep, I quietly slip out, nearly bumping into Neon in the process. Neon's golden eyes flicker like embers, it feels like she's burning a hole into me, but it's more like she's looking through me. All it takes is for me to look back just for a second for Neon to do her disappearing act.
