It had become later than Chan would have liked and the next morning he had his dear need to get the others out of bed.
"Binnie, baby, get up!" Chan said for the fourth time and tried to pull the younger one off the bed.
"Noooo, let me. I have a very close relationship with this bed!" Changbin said, trying to escape Chan.
"Well, then I'll just take a shower alone," said Chan, shrugging his shoulders and leaving Changbin in bed.
He heard Changbin rise with a sigh and come after him.
"I knew I could get you out of bed like that," Chan said with a grin and turned around.
"So you don't want to take a shower at all?" Changbin asked in disbelief, wanted to turn around and go back to bed immediately, but Chan held him tight.
"Come on honey, go wake Jisung and Minho. Please!" he said, let go of Changbin and then actually disappeared in the bathroom for a moment.
Again, sighing, Changbin turned around and made his way to the other bedroom. Where Minho and Jisung lay snuggled close together in bed and both were still sleeping tight.
Changbin had to grin and just snuggled up to them under the duvet. Which led Jisung to open his eyes for a moment, but when he saw that it was Changbin he closed his eyes again and pulled the elder closer to him.
Closely cuddled between Minho and Changbin, Jisung felt very comfortable and fell asleep again almost immediately.
And Changbin had also fallen asleep again for a short time.
Tired, Chan rubbed his eyes. He had decided against a shower, but only brushed his teeth and washed his face.
He understood the desire to stay in bed, but the route he had chosen for today was relatively far and he didn't want to come back in the middle of the night.
Finally, he left the bathroom and was just about to make his way down to make coffee and pack provisions when he noticed that it was quiet. Much too quiet.
Sighing, he steered his steps instead of down to the bedroom of Minho and Jisung.
And could hardly believe his eyes.
"Yah! That's not how it was meant! Get up!" he shouted loudly, which startled all three and Changbin looked at Chan guiltily, while Minho and Jisung just looked confused.
"You should wake them up and not fall asleep with them again!"
Changbin sat up yawning and looked at Chan apologetically. "I'm sorry baby. But it looked so cuddly with them in bed and I just couldn't resist."
"I understand that. But we have a lot ahead of us today and should leave soon!" said Chan and left the bedroom to at least pack everything necessary.
Minho stood up yawning and pulled the blanket away from Jisung and Changbin. "You heard Chan. Get up!" he said and disappeared into the bathroom for a moment.
"Come on, the two won't give any rest if we don't get up," said Jisung and stood up to get dressed.
Finally, Changbin also got up with a sigh and went back to the other bedroom to get dressed.
Minho was the first to arrive downstairs at Chan's kitchen. He gratefully accepted the cup of coffee that Chan held out to him.
He had already packed everything so far that he thought they might need it and there were already two backpacks at the door and waiting to be taken away.
According to the hiking guide, the route he had chosen for today would take five and a half hours, but he had planned an hour more so that they had no time pressure on the way and could take breaks in between.
"Are you happy?" Chan asked with a smile when he saw the satisfied expression on Minho's face.
"So damn happy! It's been ages since I was hiking. It's somehow been neglected in recent years. Somehow there was always too much to do."
Chan nodded. Even his last break was far too long ago. But to be successful as an idol you had to work a lot and hard and even if you had made the debut and the breakthrough you couldn't stop it. If Jisung's kidnapping had not intervened, they would have been giving concerts again for three weeks and their days would be stuffed with appointments.
The first two weeks they should have had appointments in Korea and after that they should have been in Japan for almost two weeks.
At that moment, Jisung and Changbin came down the stairs and both were also given a cup of coffee by Chan.
"Sorry baby," Changbin said, leaning against Chan.
"It's okay," Chan replied and kissed Changbin gently.
"So, what is the plan for today?" Minho finally asked.
"Today we will go one of the best-known routes. It will take about five and a half hours and we will at least see some waterfalls. And can look at two temples at least from the outside. I've already packed and when you're ready, we can actually go right away."
Jisung had raised his eyebrows as soon as Chan mentioned how long they would be on the road.
But Minho and Changbin didn't seem to mind, so he swallowed his objections and hoped that it wouldn't be too exhausting.
After they had finished drinking their coffee, they actually went off. -although Jisung would have been more inclined to stay in the apartment, spend the day in the pool and maybe take a little walk in between.
But Minho looked so happy that Jisung let himself be infected by his good mood.
It was still relatively cool and foggy, but the surroundings were breathtakingly beautiful.
The route that Chan had chosen was in most places a paved route with many bridges and steps. But at this time of year and so early, fortunately, not many people were on the road, so they had their peace. What Chan had definitely intended. That's why he and Changbin each wore one of the backpacks with enough provisions for breakfast and lunch. Chan had planned to be back for dinner.
Although Chan had lived in Seoul almost his entire life, he had never been hiking here. His parents had flown with him on vacation if time had allowed it and had shown him the world. For which Chan was also incredibly grateful. He had experienced and seen a lot. But here to walk through the beautiful nature together with Changbin, Minho and Jisung had its very own charm and Chan was very happy that he had implemented Minho's wish. Or had implemented by his mother.
Minho looked so happy that Chan couldn't stop taking photos of him secretly. Of the others, of course, too, but it didn't bother them half as much that Chan took photos.
Chan planned to create a photo album with it after the weekend trip. Especially from the proposals. So that they could always remember it. And of course also show their parents.
Smiling at himself, he ran behind the others, while the fog around them slowly disappeared and the beauty of nature became even more visible.
Autumn had colored the leaves of the trees, resulting in a beautiful play of colors.
At that moment, Jisung turned to him and stopped smiling.
"Wow! I didn't think that hiking could be so beautiful!" said Jisung overwhelmed and turned in circles, while Chan stopped grinning.
"Sometimes it can be worth leaving your bed," Chan said teasingly and reached for Jisung's hand.
Slowly they went on and watched how Minho and Changbin dealt very differently with the impressions around them.
While Minho absorbed everything around him and was busy looking around and enjoying the still cool morning air, Changbin tried to capture the scenery in photos.
Hand in hand, they followed them.
"It is already clear to you that I will have sore muscles tomorrow from all the damn steps here?!," Jisung asked reproachfully when he saw that it would go uphill again.
"You can get massaged by Minho tonight," Chan said teasingly and with raised eyebrows.
"That's a really good idea," Jisung said with a grin.
Shortly afterwards they had caught up with Minho and Changbin again and together they went on. -up the damn stairs.
And although Jisung felt really exhausted when they arrived at the top, it was really worth the effort. The view was breathtakingly beautiful. And it felt incredible to stand on top of the mountain. Somehow also somewhat frightening, but above all liberating and uplifting.
Just as Jisung turned around to point Chan to a temple in the distance that he would like to see closer, he saw Chan kneeling down in front of Changbin and pulling a small box out of his bag.
Changbin, who turned his back on him, hadn't noticed it yet and Jisung had to pull himself together so much so as not to scream out loudly.
He nudged Minho as inconspicuously as possible and pointed to the other two.
Minhos eyes widened and he slapped his hand in front of his mouth so as not to squeak.
It took what felt like ages until Changbin finally turned around.
And when he did, he felt like he couldn't believe his eyes. He had a hard time breathing and tears gathered in his eyes when he realized that Chan was actually kneeling in front of him.
"Binnie. Seo Changbin! We have already climbed many mountains together in life and even if it was not always easy, often quite bumpy and exhausting, we have always made it to the top together. And I want to experience every single highlight in my life together with you! Will you do me the honor and become my husband?"
The tears had already run over Changbin's face at the first words of Chan.
He took a deep breath and tried to stop the tears but they just kept running over his face.
He nodded frantically and fell to his knees next to Chan and stretched out his trembling hand towards him.
"Yes! Yes! Oh my God, yes!" he said and couldn't stop shaking.
Jisung and Minho grinned at each other and they also had tears in their eyes.
They knew how much Changbin had wanted this for so long. And also how long Chan had been waiting for the right moment to propose to him. But the work had always come in between and he had wanted the proposal to become something very special and not simply put in the between to work days in the evening after work.
Carefully, Chan took the ring out of the box and put it on Changbin's finger.
Finally, he gently wiped the tears of Changbin's cheeks and kissed him, while behind them Minho and Jisung cheered and clapped.
"Congratulations!" the two shouted at the same time.
Changbin ran his way home like on clouds. Chan's hand in his, the ring on his finger.
Minho and Jisung couldn't stop grinning and were incredibly happy for Chan and Changbin.
"Channie, didn't you actually had planned something else?" Jisung finally asked at some point.
"I had. But somehow it felt right to ask Binnie now and not to wait any longer."
The two smiled happily at each other.
"I love you baby!" Changbin said and had tears in his eyes again.
"And I love you!" said Chan and kissed him again.
Later than expected, they arrived back in the holiday apartment and while Minho and Jisung took over the cooking, Chan and Changbin disappeared upstairs together.
