Chapter 69
Jisung had leaned back and closed his eyes while Minho looked out the window.
Chan and Changbin talked quietly about some news from the label, but since it wasn't about forcing Jisung to be back on the stage soon, Minho didn't listen so attentively.
He had started physiotherapy almost two weeks ago to slowly get his muscles get trained again and to see if his shoulder had gotten irreversible damage or if he would really recover completely.
Until now, his physiotherapist was quite satisfied with him and confident that Minho would manage the sports test with ease in order to be admitted to the field again.
"Uhm Chan, where are we going?" Minho asked in amazement when they almost left Seoul behind.
"Oh, they have a showroom just a bit outside from Seoul," Chan said with a smile.
"Oh okay," said Minho and then also closed his eyes.
Chan grinned at Changbin and raised up his thumb.
The trip to Odaesan National Park would take just under two and a half hours and with a little luck, the two would at least sleep a little and won't immediately notice that they won't choose any colors at all.
They would still have to go shopping, but Chan assumed that they would be awake again.
"Do you mind if I also close my eyes a little?" Changbin asked and yawned.
Chan shook his head.
He had turned on soft music and concentrated on the street, while the world around him became greener and greener.
Chan was so captivated by the environment and was just thinking about the fact that they had taken a break far too rarely in recent years that he didn't even notice that Jisung woke up.
"Channie?" Jisung asked sleepy.
Chan winced, startled.
"God you scared me. I didn't even notice that you woke up again."
"Where exactly are we going?" Jisung asked and was pretty sure that no colors would be chose today. In the middle of nowhere.
"That's a surprise!" Chan said with a grin.
Jisung considered whether he should try to force Chan to tell him where they were going. But his eyes fell on Minho, who was tightly asleep and he didn't want to wake him up.
So he dropped the topic and looked out the window instead. He was so used to the city with all the skyscrapers and the traffic that all the greenery around him was almost a bit overwhelming.
The next one who woke up was Changbin. Yawning, he stretched out and looked around. He wasn't half as surprised as Jisung, after all he knew where they wanted to go. And yet he also had to let the environment have an effect on him for a moment.
Minho woke up last and actually only just before they were there.
"Here we want to choose the colors?" he asked and sounded so confused that the others had to laugh.
Jisung had to think for quite a while about where they might be going and why. But he was now reasonably sure to know what Chan had planned.
Minho didn't take so long to understand what was going on.
"Are we - are we here for a weekend trip?" he asked and his eyes began to shine.
Chan, who was just in the parking lot of a supermarket, turned around and looked at him smiling.
"Yes, we are! But we're not quite there yet. We just have to go shopping a little beforehand."
Minho nodded with a smile. He suddenly felt very light.
"Then let's go shopping. I'm happy when I don't have to sit anymore," Changbin said and got out.
The others followed him.
Fortunately, there was not much going on in the supermarket and so they could do the shopping quickly and without problems.
From the supermarket to the holiday apartment, it was not far away.
Chan was glad that his mother had chosen a holiday apartment and not a hotel. So they were among themselves and the danger that someone recognized them was significantly less. And there were enough restaurants nearby if they didn't feel like cooking.
His mother had chosen a beautiful holiday apartment. With a covered pool and even a hot tub.
The other three couldn't get out of their amazement. There was a large, bright kitchen, two large bedrooms with their own bathrooms and a large living room.
Chan had already looked at the apartment on the Internet before. He was happy to be prepared. So he let the others look at everything and stowed the shopping first and then their luggage in the bedrooms.
On the one hand, he was happy about a little more space in bed, on the other hand it would probably be very unusual to sleep in bed without Minho and Jisung.
When he came down again, Minho had already set about making something to eat, while Jisung and Changbin tried the dartboard in the living room.
Smiling, Chan watched them for a moment and then went to Minho to help him cook.
Minho looked up when Chan came into the kitchen, put the knife out of his hand and went to Chan.
"Thank you!"
"Gladly!" he said and pulled Minho into his arm. "I hope you like it here!"
Minho nodded and leaned against Chan.
"It's beautiful here!" Minho murmured.
"I thought we deserved that after everything that happened. And before all the stress starts again. And you wanted it so much."
Chan put his hand on Minho's cheek and kissed him gently.
"Thank you so much Channie!" Minho took a deep breath and leaned against the elder again.
He felt tears gather in his eyes and tried to hide his face on Chan's chest. The feelings in him felt like they were overwhelming him at any moment. He was not used to others treating him so lovingly and trying to fulfill his wishes. -apart from Jisung, of course.
"Min, honey..." Chan pressed him firmly against him and kissed him on the temple.
"I feel like I don't deserve what you do for me..." Minho murmured quietly.
Chan pushed him a bit away from him and looked at him seriously.
"Min, I want you to listen to me very carefully now! Even if it wasn't the way it is right now between us, you've been part of the family for a long time. And not only for Jisung! But because you are a wonderful, loving and caring person! We love you because you are as you are! And not because you're with Jisung. You deserve all the happiness and love in the world! Actually even more than that, because you got clearly too little of it in the past... I love you Min! And if it is possible for me to fulfill your wishes, then I will do it!"
Now Minho couldn't longer prevent the tears from running down his face.
Chan pulled him back into his arm and kissed him again.
"So and now go cuddle with Ji and Binnie and let me cook. Or do you want to help me?"
"I would like to help you. So actually I would want to go to bed with you, Ji and Binnie and cuddle, but I'm really hungry and it's faster when we do it together."
And then they did just that. Cooked together. Talked about the new apartment, what else they had to do and what they still had to buy.
In between, Minho could not refrain from leaning against Chan or pulling the elder into his arm. Not even when Jisung and Changbin came into the kitchen to 'help' could he stop.
Jisung and Changbin watched them with a grin.
All four felt happy and relaxed. Because even if nothing bad had happened - no nightmares, relapses or anything else- the last two weeks had still been quite exhausting.
Jisung had regularly had his therapy and tried to support Chan as much as possible. Minho had had his therapy and physiotherapy and made it his task to plan the design of the new apartment as well as possible. Changbin had tried to support everyone as much as possible. Had spent a lot of time in the car so that the others could get wherever they need to be. And what none of the others knew, he had also spent a lot of time in the studio and tried to keep their manager in check. And Chan had planned the moving, the proposals, the weekend trip and that without the Jisung and Minho did notice anything about it.
In short, the last two weeks, contrary to their expectations, they had had an incredible amount of things to do.
