Chapter 13

Narrator's POV

The children did as Erza had said and left their places thanking their parents for the food before darting outside. A sigh was heard after the children were out of sight as the small bluenette rubbed her temples. "You alright Lev?" the blond celestial mage spoke in concern for her best friend.

"Yeah, yeah, just a little tired, it was a long night," she sighed leaning further into her chair.

"What happened last night?" Juvia, the rainwoman, questioned as she began to remove dishes from the table and placing them in the kitchen.

"Gabby happened," she picked herself from her place at the table and started collecting all the plates the children left behind, "At first I thought she had another nightmare, instead I find that she's found one of my photo albums with pictures of everyone at the guild. She wouldn't stop asking questions about everyone, waking up Lewis in the process." She smiled to herself, "In the end I couldn't get her to sleep until three this morning."

"And I thought I couldn't get my children to sleep, if I'm not careful one day I might just find Nashi sleeping in the fireplace instead of her actual bed." Lucy sighed. Mira giggled at this as she too helped to clear the table.

"Speaking of children, what are all of their names? We've met Laura, Erika and Jeremy," the leader of Crime Sorciere, Jellal, spoke up, "How old are they? and whose is whose?"

"Oh sorry, we just rushed them off before they could introduce themselves huh?" Juvia played with the loose strands of her hair nervously, "We aren't really used to having company around, if you want to go to the living area I can find our photo albums of the kids. You wont be able to meet Eli until later though."

"No, no it's fine, you have a routine here, I didn't mean to mess that up," Jellal stood from his seat helping to clear up when he was stopped by the mother of his children.

"It's okay, the two of you are welcome to stay here for the night, there's plenty of room."

"Thanks but we shouldn't stay too long, the guys are already suspicious of the way people have been acting, I don't need them bothering me about it too." Laxus voiced from his seat at the table. Jellal nodded in agreement, as the door closed behind Juvia.

"That's okay, I mean we should be visiting Magnolia soon anyway.." Levy mentioned as she sped out the room not wanting to be apart of the conversation, but knowing a decision must be made, and maybe just maybe, Laxus, Elfman, and Jellal might be who they need to convince them to come back home to Fairy Tail. However, that lingering fear of what the other three might think, or even say, still haunts her mind. And not just hers but also Juvia's and Lucy's as well.

"What was she talking about?" Laxus inquired of the remaining girls.

"Uh, I'm gonna go start on those dishes, before they pile up too high," Lucy collected the last of the dishes spewed across the table and left for the kitchen leaving Erza and Mira to explain what Levy had meant, even though the boys technically had heard mentions of their girls returning from Bickslow and Freed the previous night.

"How about we go sit down in the living room it'll be more comfortable," Mira smiled gently as she exited the room Erza not far behind. Glancing at each other with an almost silent conversation between them the boys followed the girls down the hallways into a large comfortable area they considered a living room, although then again this is a mansion after all. Sitting down on one of the many seats in the room Juvia came stumbling in with a large pile of books setting them down on the coffee table at the center of the room.

"Here we go," dusting off her hands she kneeled on the floor unstacking the seven books, "This white one is our combined album of all the kids, Red is Erza's, Purple Mira's, this Pink one belongs to Lucy, Levy's is Orange, Ever's is this green one and the blue one is mine. So who would you like to see first?"
