Chapter one: Detective Jones

"Detective Jones!" Mr.Jefferson yelled has he slammed a missing person report on my desks, letting the dust that was hanging onto it fly off.
"I need you too look at this missing person report," he said looking down at me.
"Wait, I'm in charge of it?" I asked slightly embarrassed and yet flattered that I was in charge of a missing person case.
"Yes!" he yelled.
I nodded my head as he left. I looked at the cover of the yellow folder, it said her name was Mari June.
I turned to the first page on it, to find out it was also the last.
"What?" I said to my self. The only clue to where she could be was foot prints leading out to the forest and it even said they weren't even sure if they were her's.
I sighed, at least they gave me the directions to where the foot prints are. I grabbed my car keys and headed to my car. I got in my car and started it up and left, as I watched the police station get farther and farther away.

I pulled up to a forest and got out.
"This is the place," I said to my self. I went up to where the foot prints were. The foot prints seemed to be a 4.8 in women's shoes.
I looked up and saw a branch broken on the ground. I put my long red hair behind my ears and walked into the forest, my green eyes shown in the darkness of the forest.
I put some gloves on to make sure not to get any finger prints on anything we could use to find out where she is and who took her or even worse, killed her.
The thought made me want to throw up. I walked quickly and quietly to the broken stick and picked it up, it had no use to me so I set back down in its exact place and continued walking.

( Hey guys Lola here, I am vary happy about this new book and it is not a fanfic. I just wanted to say that! Lola out!)

As I was walking around the forest I found what seemed to be a run down house, thinking it could be a clue I took a picture of it and left to my car.

As I was getting back to my car, I felt something watching me, but I shook it off as nothing and left.
