Three

Hyunji looked up seeing the soft plushy on a rack with a selection of other stuffed animals. she smiled at how adorable it looked. Giving a few bills to the unenthusiastic older woman to try and win some tickets. After picking up the first basketball, Hyunji felt someone's presence and she turned around to see Jungkook.

"Hey," He muttered, standing close to her, too close.

She didn't wanna be obvious and move away. But his body was so close to her that she could feel the warmth emitting from him, and it was making her have some thoughts. Not so good thoughts. . . . Instead of being able to focus on getting the ball in the hoop she was focused on him.

"You gonna go?" He softly asked.

"Uh, yeah, sorry- Just zoned out." She muttered, before throwing the ball and missing.

"Just try again, it's not that hard you can do it. You're just distracted."

Distracted by you!

She threw the second one and it bounced into the hoop.

"There you go." Jungkook smiled at her.

Missing the third ball her cheeks blushed red with embarrassment.

"How many tickets do I need for that?" Hyunji asked, pointing to the plushy cat.

"That is 3000 tickets." The woman told her.

"Oh, wow! I'd be here all night" Hyunji awkwardly laughed.

"Hyunji! Come with me across the street so we can go to the mall while the guys are still here."

"I gotta go, see you in the car I guess," Hyunji told Jungkook, he nodded as she took off.

He saw her figure slowly disappear as he looked back at the plush she wanted. Walking away as he loudly sighed he went and sat down, looking like he was about to play a looooot of video games tonight.

"Hey, what are you doing?" Taehyung asked.

"Playing video games," Jungkook muttered, focusing on the game.

"I can see that. Why so aggressively?"

"I need tickets, a lot of them."

"Why? For a crappy toy, c'mon you're too old for that now." Jimin asked him.

"No."

"Then for what?"

"So you guys can mock me? No."

"No, we won't. Just tell us."

"Hyunji wants a specific stuffed animal of a cat and it's 3000 tickets. She left, but I have to get it for her."

"Ah, cuz then it shows that you put her needs before your own making you look like perfect marriage material," Taehyung spoke, patting Jungkook on the back. "I taught you well?"

"Um, I mean that's kinda stretching it but that would work too."

"He is just trying to show her that he has an interest. Slow down Taehyung, we're not there yet." Jimin rolled his eyes.

"Well, I guess we better help him out so we can leave soon. Hyunji has to be home around 10."

"Oh really?" Jungkook asked.

"Yeah, her mom's really strict." Taehyung replied.

"Oh."

Jungkook sank in his chair, maybe this wasn't a good idea. Was he setting himself up for failure?

"Trust me she's sneaky. Strict parents raise the sneakiest kids. Don't let that discourage you."

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah, yeah, we wouldn't get your hopes up for nothing."

"Ji is like you, she's shy and has no clue how to talk to a guy."

"So you're gonna have to take the lead."

"Wait and I'm supposed to take advice from both of you who are single?"

"Why don't we get started getting you some tickets?" Jimin changed the subject.

The trio started out playing the easiest games, hoping to get more tickets at a faster pace that way before losing interest and moving on to something else.

Some time later. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

"Oh my god my fingers are about to fall off!" Jimin sighed, wiping the sweat off of his forehead.

"Why don't we count, it seems like we got quite a few tickets?" Jungkook suggested.

"Okay."

Taehyung picked up the first string of tickets and began counting. He muttered the numbers under his breath knowing it would be at least another forty-five minutes of hardcore gaming.

"You guys should keep playing." He told the other two.

"It's that bad?" Jungkook sighed.

"It's not good, keep going."

"Skee-ball?"

"Okay."

"If we hurry we can make it before a handsome guy asks for Hyunji's number in the mall," Taehyung smirked, seeing a little worry in Jungkook's eyes. "Don't worry they always complain about how guys never ask them out blah blah."

"You're in a lot of their conversations huh?"

"I was blessed with good hearing."

"Selective hearing."

"Shut up."

Taking one last sip of her boba, Hyunjin disposed of the plastic cup in a nearby trashcan. They had taken a stroll around the mall, bouncing in and out of a few shops not finding much to their liking. Yuri's phone rang, grabbing their attention as Yuri rummaged through her purse looking for it. She found it just before it stopped ringing.

"What Tae?" She said into the phone.

"You guys ready?" He asked.

"Yeah if you guys are."

"Okay. Jimin's gonna come in and grab takeout, and then walk you guys out to the parking lot. It's dark and you know there's always some guys out there."

"Okay, see you in a few minutes."

After picking up the food that Jimin unexpectedly had to pay for, the trio made their way to the parking lot. The chilly breeze made them walk faster as they looked around for Taehyung's car.

"Where the hell is his car?" Jimin asked.

"Don't ask me- Wait, didn't you come from the car?" Yuri looked at Jimin.

"No," He rolled his eyes, "I'm not an idiot he dropped me off at the door."

"There's like three hundred black cars in this parking lot."

"I thought his car was gray?"

"It's dark gray-"

"Why don't I just call him." Hyunji intervened, pulling out her phone.

Finally navigating their way to the car the two girls put their bags in the backseat, accompanying some of Taehyung's junk. Folding the seat down, Hyunji got ready to climb into the back next to Jungkook. Noticing a round stuffed animal she picked it up so she didn't sit on it. Finally sitting down she looked at the plush, a big grin falling on her face. The plush she set her eyes on back in the arcade was now in her hands and he spent all his time in the arcade to get this for her.

Looking over at Jungkook she saw as he tried to hide his shy smile.

"Aww, thank you! This is so sweet!" Hyunji beamed looking in his direction.

"I'm glad you like it." Jungkook replied.

Though his thumbs were going to be sore the next day it was all worth it to see the joy it brought her.

Texting her mom to let her know they were on their way back, the pair in the back was rather quiet. After letting her mom know she'd be staying over at Yuri's a little longer she leaned back in the seat, feeling Jungkook's thigh flush against her own. Briefly looking over at him she saw his face in his palm as he seemed to be falling asleep. How adorable.
