Fifthteen
Rubbing her sleepy eyes, Hyunji sat at the kitchen table, inhaling the delightful smell of breakfast and freshly brewed coffee. Seeing a full plate of food pushed in front of her she grinned.
"Thanks mom."
"Mhm."
Hyunji's mom picked up her own plate sitting next to her daughter. As they made small talk and began eating, Hyunji heard her phone ding and vibrate on the table. Quickly grabbing it she swiped away Jungkook's notification and put her phone on silent.
"Yuri?" Her mom asked.
"Uh, yeah making plans for tomorrow." Hyunji lied, but she needed a valid excuse for her not to be home tomorrow in case her mother asked.
"What are you guys doing?"
"That's what we're trying to figure out."
"Are you walking Jay to the park?"
"Yeah I think so."
"I'll come with you guys. We don't get to spend as much time together as we used to. So I was thinking this weekend we could go out to breakfast, get our nails done, and have a movie night."
"That sounds good!" Hyunji grinned.
Without Jungkook and her friends she couldn't imagine how lonely her summer could've been. Her mother spent most of her days filling in for her father, getting wrapped up in work.
"I'm gonna go get dressed for our walk." Hyunji's mom got up, putting her plate in the sink.
"Okay-"
"And change your shirt, Hyunji! It's too short its practically a crop top-"
"You bought it for me." Hyunji rolled her eyes.
"Well I didn't know it would show-"
"Half an inch of my stomach god forbid."
"Hyunji! Stop arguing with me!"
As her mom walked up the stairs Hyunji let out an irritated sigh. Looks like she had to go change now.
___________
Jungkook unlatched the gate and strided into Hyunji's backyard. A cheeky grin already on his face as he couldn't wait to see her, now a day apart felt like years to him. Jay barked at the back door as he wagged his tail, excited to see him again.
"Jay!" He grinned, seeing Jay get all excited.
Looking up he saw Hyunji in the living room making eye contact as they both smiled.
"You're early. Like, three hours early." Hyunji said, walking towards him.
He wrapped his arms around her waist pulling her towards him with a gentle smile. Jungkook then tilted his head leaning in for a long kiss that he'd been craving for several days. It was soft and loving, telling her how much Jungkook had missed her, without him saying a single word. It amazed Hyunji how he could elaborate so much emotion through a simple action. They pulled away as their lips lingered on each other, grinning as they gazed into each other's eyes.
"I came early so we could spend more time together. You said your mom would be gone all day, so I thought why not take advantage of that." Jungkook spoke.
She only smiled in response to him.
"What were you doing?" He asked.
"Just cleaning up a bit. I think I'm gonna make lunch now, want some?" Hyunji replied as she put the broom in the closet.
"I mean, I did just eat, but I can't refuse food."
"I thought so."
Hyunji walked into the kitchen, Jungkook following behind her. He noticed her laptop open, with multiple tabs up.
"Were you working?" He asked.
"Yeah earlier I was." Hyunji nodded, looking through the fridge.
"What do you do specifically? I know you said just managing social media but what does that entail?"
"Oh it's nothing interesting. Upload photos from events, make sure to follow hospitals we have new contracts with, make sure theres mostly positive comments, just keep a good reputation."
"Sounds like a lot."
"It can be. It's nice though, gives me something to do, and I can work without dealing with lousy people or leaving the house."
"Sounds nice."
"When I finish our sandwiches do you wanna just watch a movie-"
"And cuddle."
Hyunji's lips curved up into a smile she couldn't hold back and looked over her shoulder to catch his grinning eyes.
"Obviously."
____________
Hyunji was lounging between Jungkooks legs with her back against his chest as he held onto her. Jungkook had loosely wrapped his arms around her waist, Hyunji rubbing her thumb on top of his hand giving him butterflies. He savored the small things like the fruity hair product he couldn't get enough of, enjoying just holding her while they watched a movie.
But there was one thing he just couldn't stand any longer.
"Stop looking at Tom Holland like that!" Jungkook scoffed.
"Like what?" Hyunji replied, "You can't even see my face!"
"You know you're swooning over him."
"I am not!"
"Yuri said every time you see him on screen you fangirl over him-"
"Such a snitch! It was a phase!"
"Are you still in that phase?"
"The suns gonna set soon, we should get going shouldn't we?" She changed the subject.
"Yeah, yeah. Finish the movie when we get back?"
"Yeah."
Hyunji stood up from Jungkook's arms, Jungkook slowly peeling himself from the couch to get up.
"Can you take Jay outside? I need to grab my purse." Hyunji asked him.
"Sure." Jungkook nodded.
Hyunji quickly ran up the stairs and to her room to retrieve her purse. As she came back down the stairs she walked out the back door seeing Jungkook throwing the ball with Jay.
"He said I throw better than you." Jungkook grinned.
Hyunji rolled her eyes, standing next to him as she wrapped her arms around him. As Jay brought back the ball, panting from the heat Hyunji let him in the house, seeing his disappointed face as she shut the door leaving him inside.
"I'll be back." She reassured him.
__________
The car drive was longer than Hyunji expected, but soon she saw them pulling into a small gravel parking lot.
"Kinda looks like you're about to bury my body here." Hyunji commented, looking around at the dimly lit park.
"Oh come on, it's not that creepy! It's just because it's dark. It's a really nice park actually. Especially when there's sunlight. My mom used to always bring me here when I was younger."
"It's really dark. . . "
"Well you gotta get away from the bright city lights right?"
"Yeah, that makes sense."
Jungkook turned off the car, putting the keys in his pocket as he unbuckled his seatbelt. Opening the car door he got out, Hyunji doing the same. Jungkook opened the back seat pulling out a large blanket for them to lay on. Hyunji got out of the car, taking in the fresh breeze. She shut the door behind her and walked out in front of the car.
Jungkook walked a few feet away from the SUV feeling the wet grass under his flip flops. Unfolding the blanket he spread it out on the grass and Hyunji bent down and sat on the blanket.
"It's pretty chilly, do you want a hoodie?" Jungkook asked.
"Yes please," Hyunji grinned.
Of course I want one of his hoodies, I hope he knows he'll probably never get it back.
Jungkook went and opened the back door of his father's SUV, reaching in and grabbing the black hoodie. As Jungkook joined her on the blanket he handed her a hoodie seeing her quickly pull it over her head. Hyunji inhaled his scent as she got comfortable in the oversized hoodie. Jungkook looked at her smelling the hoodie and chuckled.
"Does it actually smell that good?" Jungkook asked.
"It's the perfect combination of you and that cologne you wear." Hyunji replied, laying on her back as Jungkook did the same.
Hyunji looked up, seeing the thousands of stars in the night sky. Though it was something simple, it was something she seemed to take advantage of. The stars appeared to be shining even brighter than before, Hyunji wasn't sure if it was her not paying attention before or the lack of light from the city.
She felt Jungkook scoot closer to her and wrap his hand around hers. They sat in a comfortable silence, enjoying the nature around them. The sounds of the crickets chirping and the soft rustling of nearby trees was adding to the tranquility of the night.
"This is really nice, kook." Hyunji smiled.
"Good. I haven't been here in a while. I love it here though." He leaned in and kissed her cheek.
Jungkook turned on his side, gazing at the girl he had fallen for. He felt nervousness bubble in his stomach as he mentally tried to get his words together, he didn't want everything to jumble up into one long anxious ramble.
"Ji," He said to get her attention.
She looked at Jungkook, seeing him laying on his side, propped up on his elbow.
"So far this has been the best summer I've had, Hyunji. And I know that's because of you. I really love spending so much time with you." Jungkook looked into her eyes.
"I 100% agree, my summers are usually uneventful." Hyunji replied.
"Well I wouldn't want any other company besides you. I love what we have, baby. Tell me you feel the same connection between us that I do, because when I'm with you I feel like I'm with my best friend, it seems like we've known each other forever. I just never want summer to end, because I really can't picture being more than a few doors from you. . ." Jungkook spoke from his heart as the words naturally came out. "I wanted to ask you, uh, will you be my girlfriend?"
Oh, his words were sweet and romantic, evoking emotions Hyunji didn't even know he could make her feel. She could hear the emotion in the tone he spoke to her, making her know he meant every single word from the bottom of his heart.
Hyunji put her hand on his cheek, pulling him into a kiss as she pressed her lips to his.
"Of course I want to be your girlfriend!" Hyunji grinned, "It took you long enough to ask!"
"It didn't take me that long!" Jungkook scoffed. "This is our... What is the fifth date? When did you want me to ask?"
"Like two or three weeks ago."
"Well I apologize for the delay."
"What you said Jungkook, it really means a lot to me. And I want you to know I feel the same way, and I'm happy I get to spend so much time with you and I wouldn't want to spend my time any other way."
Jungkook smiled, feeling of relief sweeping through him. He knew she would agree to be his girlfriend, and agree to have feelings for him, but the small voice in Jungkook's head still made him worry otherwise.
Hyunji sat up and put her leg over Jungkook's waist, straddling him as he grinned. Grabbing both his wrist she put them at the sides of his head, slightly above him, Jungkook willingly complying letting a small groan leave his lips.
Her lips met his as Hyunji felt a boost of confidence in herself. She went back and forth sucking and leaving soft love bites on his lips. Hyunji ran her tongue across his lip as Jungkook parted his lips for her. Slipping her tongue in his mouth as their tongues swirled around each other. She hummed in satisfaction.
Pulling away her lips kissed a pattern down his jawline before she nibbled on his earlobe. Letting go of his wrist she cupped his face pulling him closer to her if that was even possible.
Jungkook would be the first one to admit letting Hyunji take control was one of the best feelings in the world, and would definitely be letting her do so some time soon again. Feeling her on top of him was making it more than difficult to control his thoughts. He felt her breasts pressed up against his chest and oh god it felt good. Too good.
Don't get hard. Dont get hard. Dontgethard. DON'T GET HARD!
For fucks sake I'm getting hard. . . . . . . . . . . . Again.
Hyunji ran her fingers through his hair as Jungkook expectantly waited for her to pull his hair, letting out a sigh as she did so.
Jungkook was in his own world with his girlfriend and everything else wasn't worth an ounce of attention. Hyunji on the other hand had heard some faint rustling, telling herself it was her imagination and ignoring it, focusing on Jungkook.
Snap!
The loud sound of a twig snapping startled Hyunji, making her jump, quickly sitting up and looking in the direction of the sound. Fear rushed through her veins.
"Oh my god somethings in the woods!" She gasped.
"What? Are you sure-" Jungkook sat up, Hyunji still sitting on his lap.
"Yes! I'm sure how could you not hear that?"
"I was a little busy taking a trip to heaven-"
Hearing some more rustling Hyunji was quickly off of his lap and practically hid behind him. Jungkook pulled out his phone, turning on the flashlight. Looking up he was met with two small glowing eyes, sighing in relief he chuckled looking back at Hyunji.
"See it's just a stray cat, nothing to be worried about, baby." Jungkook turned and looked at Hyunji.
Hyunji relaxed as she looked at the cat, getting distracted by Jungkook's hands on her waist.
"I liked you right here." He pulled Hyunji back onto his lap.
"But what if the cats hungry?" Hyunji sighed, feeling bad for the cat. "It's in the middle of the woods practically."
"I'm sure it hunts. . . stuff? Or an old lady comes and feeds it. If he's here there's clearly food somewhere."
This lousy cat ruined my make out session.
"It hasn't rained in days, it's probably thirsty."
"I'm thirsty for some pussy. . . ." Jungkook muttered under his breath.
"Thirsty for something you've never tasted?" Hyunji shot back, raising a questioning brow.
Didn't think she heard that.
"I haven't been given the chance." Jungkook made eye contact.
"I'm sure you'd be open to trying a lot of things."
A sly smirk fell on Jungkooks face.
"You know me well."
"You have plans friday?" Jungkook asked her.
"What do you think?" She rolled her eyes, the answer of course being no.
"So my friend is having a big party, and me being the good boyfriend I am, I thought I should take you since you've never been to a real party. If you're interested."
"Well, I actually don't know if your a good boyfriend just yet-"
"You know I am!"
"I just need to come up with a good alibi. What time is it?"
"Eight."
"Okay."
Eventually the couple had to head back home since Hyunji needed to be home before eleven. They could've stayed all night if given the chance. Holding each other under the stars enjoying the fresh air around them as they had their late night chats that were always enjoyable. But both of them knew it certainly wouldn't be the last time and were already looking forward to the next as they walked to the car hand-in-hand.
