Chapter Forty

Hyunji needed an alibi. She also needed her mothers car.

She felt a tinge of anxiety in her stomach. Today she was meeting Jungkooks parents, and from what she heard they had high hopes and expectations, just dying to meet her. Hyunji didn't want them to be the least bit disappointed. On top of that she was lying to her parents which was always risky. She even had a different fucking outfit to change into stashed in a tote bag. If she went out dressed up in a scandalous skirt just a hint above her knees it would only cause more attention.

Taking a deep breath she walked into the living room where her mom was.

"Yuri and I want to go to the mall and her moms busy so can I take your car?" Hyunji asked.

It was her first time lying, well lying about her whereabouts at least. She was hoping it wasn't showing.

"Alright," Her mom sighed. "Please be careful."

"I will be fine." Hyunji reassured her.

____________

Areum listened to her son sighing and groaning, muttering profanities under his breath. He was trying to tackle the impossible task of icing cupcakes for the first time. The first time was never good. She offered to help him but he insisted he wanted to do it himself.

Jungkook wanted everything to be perfect for her.

She never saw Jungkook so particular about how the silverware was placed on the table, or what plates and bowls they used.

"I can't do this shit," He put down the icing pipe.

"I'll do it, Kook. You don't have to be so anxious, she's gonna love your cupcakes. . . Even if the icing looks, uh, less than perfect."

"I'm not anxious."

"If you say so. We're gonna love her, and I'll try not to embarass you."

Jungkook's father walked in the kitchen, chuckling seeing his son in a fret.

"Oh this is nothing. Wait till you meet her father and you'll really be shaking from fear." His dad said.

How encouraging.

_______________

Hyunji had text Yuri letting her know to cover for her, she doubted her mother would ask, but didn't want to take the chance. Pulling up into his driveway she took a deep breath, her nerves getting to her.

He said they love me already.

Stepping out of the car she straightened out her skirt and ran her fingers through her hair. Anxiety was present, but her excitement was much more powerful than anything. It had been a painstakingly long three days of no Jeon Jungkook. She didn't care what she had to do to see him

A quick knock on the door and she barely had to even wait, her boyfriend almost immediately opened the door.

"Hyunji," He smiled, opening the door wider to let her inside. "I missed you."

He pulled her into a tight hug lifting her off her feet as she giggled. She cupped his face and kissed him with a smile.

"I missed you more." She replied.

"I don't know about that." Jungkook said.

Jungkook looked at her outfit up and down. She wore a black skirt with a black and white checkered top, a few silver accessories such as the necklace he got really made the outfit pop. A red belt that matched her lips caught Jungkooks eye, he loved her sense of style.

"You look really nice, Ji." He grabbed her hand, pulling her into the kitchen where his mom was.

Memories of the last time she was at his house filled her head, maybe she shouldn't think of that right now.

"This is Hyunji." Jungkook proudly said with a big grin on his face.

"Nice to meet you." Hyunji smiled, she started to bow and his mother quickly shook her head no.

"Oh, please don't do that, you'll make me feel old! I'm Areum." Areum chuckled. "Oh you are such a doll. Jungkook said you were beautiful but sweetie you're gorgeous!"

Hyunji blushed while smiling. He told his mom she was beautiful, how sweet.

"Mom stoppp," Jungkook grumbled, being embarrassed by his mom.

"Dinner will be ready in just a moment. You two can just sit down."

Hyunji followed behind her boyfriend into their dining room, sitting down next to him. He could see she was a little nervous and put his arm around her.

"You don't have to be anxious, babe. They love you already." He kissed her cheek.

She nodded her head, and she thought she hid her emotions well. He could read her like a book, he knew her inside and out.

"Ah, I thought I heard the front door open." Jungkook's father walked in the room. "I'm Joowon, nice to meet you Hyunji. I've heard sooooo many good things about you."

"Nice to meet you too." She smiled.

"At first Kook wouldn't tell us about you and now he can't shut up."

Hyunji giggled as she saw her boyfriend rolling his eyes.

"Oh isn't she just gorgeous, honey?" Areum walked in, putting down a big pot of tteokbokki on the table next to the rest of dinner. "I bet they will have beautiful grandkids-"

"Mom!" Jungkook gave her a stern look.

"What you said you're going to marry her?" Jungkook's father sat down. "And that you both wanted kids."

Hyunji looked at her boyfriend and smiled. She could see how close he was with his parents and the fact that he already told them he was going to marry her only made her heart dance with joy. Jungkook on the other hand was humiliated, the one thing he asked them to do was to not embarrass him.

"So what are your plans after school, Hyunji? Do you have a job in mind or college?" Joowon asked, as they all started putting some food on their plates.

"My parents own a company selling medical equipment so I know I will work there eventually. But I'll be going to college for some sort of degree. It could be marketing or something more healthcare related, I'm not sure yet." Hyunji replied.

"Well that's good you've got a plan."

Dinner was filled with lots of conversation, his parents were eager to get to know her. Though Hyunji was normally a little shy, she felt comfortable enough to open up and joke around with them. They were open and accepting. She felt like she could genuinely be herself around them. Unfortunately Hyunji was more herself around them then her own parents.

After they finished eating they moved into the living room. Hyunji sat snuggly next to Jungkook and he put her arm around her.

"So do you think maybe your parents could come for dinner sometime? We would love to get to know them too." Areum smiled.

"Oh, uh. . . ." Hyunji paused.

"Her parent's don't know mom." Jungkook spoke up.

"I'm sorry, I'm getting ahead of myself again."

"It's okay," Hyunji said. "They're very religious and they wouldn't approve of me having a boyfriend, especially one thats not of their religion."

Or me fucking him.

Hyunji wanted to be honest with them, but it was a delicate topic. She was unsure of how they would feel given that she hadn't even told her parents about their son.

"Well that's okay. Whenever you feel the time is right I'm sure we'll meet them." Joowon smiled.

"Does anyone want cupcakes?" Areum asked, changing the subject.

"Jungkook spent all morning making them. He even cleaned that damn room of his, like really cleaned it." His father chuckled.

"My room is usually clean!" Jungkook scoffed.

"You should've dated him since he was 13, save us the trouble of always telling him to clean up." Joowon went on.

"I wish." Hyunji grinned.

"Cupcakes anyone?" Areum awkwardly stood waiting for an answer.

Jungkook and his father had enormous plates so they declined. Even though Hyunji was full she just had to eat at least one, considering Jungkook went out of his way to make them. Hyunji stood up and followed his mom to the kitchen which was perfect for Areum. She was looking to get a slice of Hyunjis time alone.

"So I'm sure you know next week is Jungkook's birthday. It's his 18th birthday so we want to throw a surprise party for him. I was hoping maybe we could plan it together?" Areum thought it would be a great opportunity to spend some time and bond with Hyunji.

"That sounds good. I'm sure he'll love it." Hyunji nodded her head.

"Perfect! Can I get your number?"

"Sure."

Hyunji pulled up her number on her phone, showing it to Jungkook's mom as she made a new contact for her daughter-in-law-to-be.

Hyunji looked at the cupcakes and saw a significant difference. It was clear the ones he iced and the ones his mother iced. Hyunji couldn't help but smile, she had to take a picture.

"Isn't he just adorable?" Aruem chuckled.

"He is." Hyunji replied.

They went back into the living room and Hyunji sat next to Jungkook as he waited for her to try his cupcake. Hyunji took a bite and as expected it was delicious, she taught him well.

"Is it good?" Jungkook asked.

"Mhm." Hyunji nodded.

Jungkook was pleased to see she actually enjoyed his cupcake, despite it looking like shit. Of course she picked one of the cupcakes he had iced instead of his mothers, wanting to appreciate his efforts.

As she finished the cupcake off he noticed a smudge of chocolate icing on her lips. If his parents weren't there he would've pulled her aside and kissed her, taking the icing with him. His parents had talked with Hyunji enough by now, right?

"I wanna show Ji my trophies." Jungkook looked at his parents, asking for permission to take her away.

"Go ahead." His mom quietly sighed.

"Couldn't have cleaned your room for nothing." His father muttered under his breath, earning a glare from Jungkook.

The young couple headed up the stairs, hand in hand. Jungkooks parents just looked at each other, shaking their heads.

"I know he's shown her those trophies before." His dad grumbled.

"Oh don't act like we weren't like that." Areum said.

"It's different when it's your kid. . . "

"I know."

____________

Jungkook laid on his bed and Hyunji did the same next to him, wondering his true intentions. Because he surely wasn't showing her any of the trophies she'd already seen.

"You got some chocolate on your lips." Jungkook pointed out.

She went to grab her phone and look at the camera but Jungkook put his thumb under her chin, making her face him.

"I got it." He smirked.

She expected him to use his thumb and instead she watched as he used his tongue to remove the remnant icing. She didn't know why it even surprised her. Instead of pulling away he cupped her ass bringing their bodies together. It had been three days since they fucked and Jungkook was not coping well with that.

Hyunji wanted him 100% but she just met his parents, going upstairs and having sex with them downstairs didn't sound like a good impression to her. Besides his birthday was in a few days, why not deprive him till then?

She was supposed to be pushing him away, but that turned out to be harder than expected. Their tongues danced together as Hyunji struggled to catch a moan before it slipped out.

"Jungkook," She breathed out, putting her hand on his chest.

He begrudgingly pulled away, his lips lingering on hers. He knew he wasn't about to get any.

"Your parents-" Hyunji said.

"Wouldn't know." He pushed a strand of hair behind her ear.

"You're so fucking obvious! They already assume we're fucking!"

"I'm sorry! I'm desperate, I got used to having sex ten times a week."

"As did I."

"I mastu- I "Mworded" and it wasn't even that good!"

"Welcome to my world I can't even make myself finish."

"Says the girl that has a vibrator with like ten different settings."

"I haven't used it so it doesn't count!"

"Don't worry we'll fix that soon too. You should be able to please yourself, it's a life skill."

"Oh really."

_____________

Eventually it was time to leave Jungkook's warm embrace and go home. Walking down the stairs she heard his parents laughing and talking as they watched tv. Aruem paused the tv, turning her attention to Jungkook and Hyunji.

"Are you leaving?" Aruem asked.

"Yeah, I should get back home." Hyunji spoke, "Thank you guys for having me over. Dinner was delicious, it was nice meeting you both." Hyunji smiled.

"Thank you for coming." Joowon smiled.

"And we'll see you on friday?" Areum asked.

"Yes. I wouldn't miss it."

"Let me walk you out." Jungkook said.

He wasn't ready for her just yet, but he wanted her to get home before it was dark. Walking her to the car he opened the door for her and Hyunji got in. As the car was started Hyunji put the window down. Jungkook put his forearms on the door, leaning on it as his eyes shifted downward. Damn she should pull up her shirt.

"Your parents are funny, I like them." She said.

"Ah, they love embarrassing me." Jungkook chuckled. "I'm glad you like them."

"I should get going."

"I know, I know. I just don't want you to leave. But it's getting dark."

"Yeah I don't even know if I'll be able to back out of your driveway in daylight."

He chuckled, pushing his lips out to ask for a kiss. Hyunji sat up leaning towards him as she pressed her lips to his ever so gently.

"I love you." He pressed his forehead to hers.

"I love you too, baby. I'll see you soon." Hyunji smiled.
