Chapter 2: Kinda date
Ayato's POV:
Name: (Y/N) (L/N)
Personality: Loner
Crush: None
Club: None, but takes kendo lessons after school.
Strength: Fights back - Very strong
Additional information: (Y/N) (L/N) is known by others as Miss Matchmaker Ai-chan, who is rumored to be able to get people together with their crushes. She almost always seen carrying her sword bag with her.
(Y/N) (L/N) huh?
She didn't strike me as the type of person who's good a matchmaking but today proved me wrong.
I put my phone down and looked at my senpai shrine. If this works then senpai will be my girlfriend! No, it has to work! Everyone else (Y/N) helped has gotten together with their crushes, so it should be the same for me!
I have a lot of rivals though... Maybe I should eliminate them to make (Y/N)'s job easier...
I started laughing a little at the thought of killing all my rivals and keeping my senpai all to myself. After that I looked at the time.
I should go to bed now, I want to be fully prepared for tomorrow's kinda date, as (Y/N) puts it.
(Y/N)'s POV:
Today is Ayato's kinda date with Taeko. There's no school today so I was wearing casual clothes. I know we're just going to be movies but I still brought my sword bag with me along with a small bag. I just happen to feel more comfortable with my katana with me. I know hand to hand combat but I'm a better fighter with a katana.
I sat outside of the movie theaters with Ayato, waiting for Taeko to arrive. Ayato was anxious, figures, he's a yandere boy about to get close with his crush. I'm just here to get the two more acquainted with each other.
"You can at least look at her like a normal person right?" I asked Ayato.
"O-Of course! I can show senpai that I'd make a good boyfriend! I'm the only one for her...!" Ayato said while laughing a little evilly.
I sweat dropped. His yandere side is showing... Not that I care, but people are looking at him like he's weird... Well, their not wrong...
"You need to calm down, if you laugh like that, or make that face, she's going to think there's something wrong with you." I said, putting a hand on his shoulder. "Take a deep breath and relax. Our goal is to at least get the two of you to talk with each other. Understood?"
Ayato took a deep breath and nodded.
"Better?" I asked.
"Yeah..." Ayato said.
"Good." I said.
"(Y/N)-chan! Sorry I'm late!"
Ayato and I turned around to see Taeko running towards us. I immediately put on my friendly smile.
"That's alright Taeko-chan, we haven't been waiting for long." I lied. "This is my friend Ayato Aishi."
"Nice to meet you Aishi-kun! I'm Taeko Yamada." Taeko said with a smile.
"A-Ayato-kun..." Ayato said nervously with blush on his face.
"Huh?" Taeko said confused.
"P-Please call m-me Ayato-kun..." Ayato said, trying to hide his blush.
"Oh, okay!" Taeko said.
Their talking with each other... miracles do happen.
"Onee-chan! Why did you run off without me!"
Please don't tell me that's what I think it is...
I turned around and say a younger but not too young boy that looked similar to Taeko with a heart shaped clip in his hair.
"I told you that you didn't have to come with me otouto-chan!" Taeko said before turning to me. "I'm so sorry about this, my little brother insisted on coming with me. I hope this doesn't bother you."
...It is...
"That's alright." I lied, trying not to seem rude. "Excuse us for a minute."
I pulled a very pissed off Ayato by the collar of his shirt and took him behind a wall where Taeko and her little brother couldn't see us.
"Why is he here with my senpai?!" Ayato muttered angrily, his killer aura showing.
This is probably the one thing about yandere's that annoy me. They need to take a chill pill sometimes. Same goes for tsundere's.
"Calm down. This is only a minor issue. He's not romantically interested in her since their siblings." I said. "This isn't the first time something like this has happened. I have a few ideas to handle this."
"Alright, if you say so..." Ayato said, finally calming down.
After explaining my ideas, Ayato and I walked back to Taeko and her brother.
"Sorry about that, we just had something important to discuss real quick." I said. "So you're brother's name is..."
"Oh! My name is Hanakō Yamada!" Hanakō said. "You're onee-chan's new friend (Y/N)-chan right?"
"Yeah, that's me." I said with a fake smile.
Well as long as he doesn't call me-
"You're also Miss Matchmaker Ai-chan right?!" Hanakō asked.
I spoke too soon...
"Please just call me (Y/N)-chan." I said.
"Okay ~!" Hanakō said with a childish smile.
I REALLY want to curse out loud right now...
"What movie should we watch?" Taeko asked.
"How about that new horror movie?" I suggested.
"O-Oh, okay!" Taeko said.
I knew it, she gets scared easily.
The four of us went into the movie theaters and bought tickets for the movie. As soon as we entered the room the movie was playing in I quickly scanned the area for a place with only four empty seats. As soon as I row I forced Ayato to go first. Then I made Taeko go next, making it look like I was just being nice. Taeko made me sit next to her, forcing Hanakō to sit next to me.
Well at least that part worked out like I planned.
"I was hoping to sit next to onee-chan..." Hanakō said sadly.
"I'm sure you'll be alright, it's just one movie." I said to him.
"But then who's arm will I hold when I get scared?" Hanakō asked.
Kid, the movie hasn't even started yet and you're sister is already clinging onto Ayato while shaking like a chihuahua (not that Ayato's complaining though).
"You could hold onto my arm if you like." I said.
"Okay! Thank you!" Hanakō said with a big smile as he hugged me.
You owe me one big time Ayato.
The entire time the movie was playing both Taeko and Hanakō kept clinging onto Ayato and I every. single. time. they got scared. It worked out well for Ayato since he protectively held her like I told him to. But I don't like being touched so much so I tried to hide my irritation.
Key word being tried.
The movie wasn't even scary. Ayato wasn't scared either. The Yamada family is made up of wusses...
"I-I'm so sorry for clinging onto you so much Ayato-kun, that movie was terrifying." Taeko said.
"I-It's n-no problem..." Ayato said flustered.
"It was a really scary movie, I couldn't stop clinging onto (Y/N)-chan's arm!" Hanakō said.
He's still clinging onto my arm...
"I'll be sure to choose a different genre next time." I said with a fake smile.
"That's alright, I still enjoyed myself, even if I relied on Ayato-kun a lot." Taeko said.
"I-I don't mind..." Ayato said flustered.
"I enjoyed myself too (Y/N)-chan! It was nice of you to let me hold onto you're arm!" Hanakō said with a smile.
I only did that to keep a certain yandere happy with you're sister. Not to mention that you're still holding onto my arm....
Taeko suddenly looked at the clock outside the theater.
"It's late already? I guess we should get going now otouto-chan." Taeko said.
"Aww, but I wanna hang out with (Y/N)-chan some more!" Hanakō wined.
He's. Still. Clinging. Onto. My. Arm.
"We have to go now, you can see (Y/N)-chan back at school." Taeko said.
"Alright..." Hanakō pouted before turning to me with a smile. "I'll see you at school then (Y/N)-chan ~!"
Hanakō FINALLY let go of my arm and walked over to Taeko.
"Bye (Y/N)-chan! Bye Ayato-kun!" Taeko said waving at us before leaving with Hanakō.
Ayato and I walked alone in silence. Ayato had a huge smile on his face.
"Well at least we managed to get the two of you more attention and talking. You stutter quite a bit but I suppose that's no big deal." I said, breaking the silence.
"How did you do that?" Ayato asked.
"Do what?" I asked.
"Hanakō-kun is always attached to senpai, but after the movie he didn't want to leave you." Ayato said.
Oh yeah, I did unintentionally make him attached to me...
...Aw crap.
"All I did was keep Hanakō-kun away from Taeko-chan." I said. "You don't have to worry about him as much anymore, right?"
"You're right!" Ayato said, going back to a smile.
I know I said this before but...
...You. Owe. Me. Big. Time. Ayato.
To be continued.
