I knocked on the door of the house of this supposed father of mine. I waited for about a minute, then heard footsteps. I was just about ready to give him a piece of my mind when the door opened-- Instead, a dark-haired man stood smiling at me.

His grin grew ever wider. "Hello! You may know me. But just in case you don't, I'm your Pokémon Professor- Augustine Sycamore. But you can just call me whatever you want! Anyway, let get to the point. Who might you be here for?"

I simply glared at him, to which he responded. "Oh... something tells me you're not here for me. I-I'll get him." He disappeared behind the door, and engaged in conversation with an unknown entity.

"Hey! There's a girl outside!"

"She from Girl Scouts?"

"...No. But she looks an awful lot like you."

I heard a crash and a thud, sounds of panic. "Hold on, let me see her. She's a possibility she could be.. you know!"

He stuck his head out of the door, his eyes wide with what seemed to be panic. He has the looks of a disgruntled middle-aged man, was very tall, and wore a red-orange shirt. He looked me up and down, as if scanning me like some facial-recognition machine. After a while, they invited me in. Nice place.

I saw Professor clinging to his shoulder, still smiling- he's a little too cheery. But he seemed a lot less of that when da-uh, Lysandre asked him if we could have some time to chat. Alone. He simply left, a worried look in his eyes.

Softly closing the door behind him, he looked at me. The father I never knew for thirteen years- and here he was, standing right in front of me. He took a deep breath to speak, but then drifted down into silence again. He looked away at the wall, tapped his foot a little. I could tell he didn't want to talk to me. So I did.

I put on my adult face. "Tell me, please. Why did you leave Mom?" He looked confused, concerned even. He didn't say anything at first, just pulled up a chair and sat beside me.

"I don't know what you're talking about," He spoke softly, careful not to be rude. "I've never been married to anyone but Augustine." So that guy who opened the door was his husband? Hm. Should've known he'd be gay. There's already too many things wrong with him to count, why not add another one?

"So, if you're gay, how come you had me, hm?" He looked like he didn't want to tell me. I stared at him for a little while, he stared at the floor. But finally spoke up.

"What if I told you... I'm only twenty-nine? That you were born when I was sixteen?" My jaw was wide open at that point. "Does that tell you anything, anything at all?"

I hesitate for a moment. "Yes. It does. It tells me you're a sick, sick person, that you didn't have a care at all to raise me, and you left mom juggling school, money, graduation, jobs, and me! It tells me you're a person who I shouldn't have met." His smile fades rapidly. I'd hurt him... Good!

"But what if I told you it wasn't my fault? That I was the one who was being used? Because you should know by now that even men can be victims!" He has a point, but I shook my head over and over. Stared at him with utter disappointment. I start to leave the room, not listening to anyone or anything. Just opened the door, let myself out, and wandered around the streets of Lumiose City.
