Swara's POV-

The next day, Aditya and dad were off to work and mom left for her NGO. As for me, it was a holiday because of some reason not specified.

But I was loving college! Can you believe it? It's just the second day and a holiday!

I practically had all day to myself and Aditya's room was too boring.....so guess what I did!

Yes, I went to shopping to renovate his boring room.

I had decided to change the color of his room from grey to chocolate brown. Goes with his personality. Dark and mysterious.

Mom had already cooked lunch for me so when I got back, I ate and started working.

Doing to wallpapers and carpet was easy but his closet took a lot of time...he had thousands of pairs of suits and he accused me of having so many sandals! Such an idiot.

I had managed to change the complete look of his room by seven in the evening. I was going home for two days. I really wanted to see the surprise so I got ready.

Room-

By that time, mom dad and Aditya were home.

" Are you going somewhere Swara?" Mom asked, looking at my duffel bag.

" Yes mom. I'm going home for two days. Mumma has some surprise for me and I am really excited to know what it is." I exclaimed.

" Okay beta. The driver is outside, he will drop you." Dad said and I nodded, smiling at him.

I was about to leave when I realized that I had left my phone upstairs, in Aditya's room so I took the stairs.

" What did you do to this room and with who's permission?" A very angry Aditya gritted through his teeth as he grabbed my forearm tightly.

He looked so scary!

" I....I tho.." I stammered, trying to form a sentence.

" You what?" He roared.

" I am sorry....I had no idea that you'd react this way or else I would have never done it." I said, closing my eyes in fear.

" Never touch my things without asking." He said with such venom in his voice that I shivered.

By this time, mom and dad were up.

" Le...leave my hand. It's hurting." I said.

He just kept looking at me with his jaw clenched, looking like he would snap any moment now.

" Leave her hand Aditya. What's wrong with you!" Dad shouted and he left my hand.

" Adi....I thought that I raised you better than that." Mom said, disappointment clearly visible in her tone.

Unable to think clearly, I just grabbed my phone from the nightstand and ran out of the room to the hall, picked my bag up and rushed outside the house.

Shit! His eyes were so scary and his voice so hard. I would never have changed his room if I knew that he'd react that way.

Not wanting to use anything that he owns, I hired a cab to home with tears running down my cheeks.

Buckle up Swara! Why are you crying..Don't let his words affect you.

But coming to think about it.....he did over react. It was just a room after all.

" Mam, are you alright?" The cab driver asked me.

I quickly nodded and wiped off my tears.

I am not going to shed a single drop of it because of him and now that he has shouted at me....the truce contract was over and it was okay for me to hate him after what happened today.

As I was about to reach home, my phone started ringing. It was mom.

" Swara, beta. Where are you?" She asked.

" About to reach home mom." I told her.

" Beta....you should have gone with the driver." She spoke.

" I am sorry mom." I replied.

" I am sorry beta for how Adi treated you today. This is not what I raised him to be but that room was done by Kritika and him together before the wedding. It just must have brought back some old memories. Please forgive him." She said.

" Why are you apologizing mom? It was my fault after all. I shouldn't have done what I did." I confessed.

" No beta....whatever may be the reason, this is not how Adi can ever treat you." She said, hurt.

" Please relax mom. We will talk once I come back. I am home." I replied as I could see home.

" Okay beta, take care. Bye." She wished.

" You too mom. Bye." I greeted and she hung up.

After paying to the cab driver, I pep talked to myself and rang the bell.

" Shona....what took you so long?" Mumma asked as she embraced me into a tight hug.

This is solace, peace, heaven and love altogether.

" Nothing mumma. Traffic." I lied smoothly and she did not catch me.

I then went to meet papa and baba.

" How is my kid?" Baba asked.

" Just perfect! How's my favourite grandpa?" I asked.

" The only grandpa Shona...and I was fit and fine!" He replied as I smiled at him.

" Now...now...where is my surprise?" I asked, excited.

Anything to keep my mind off the incident today.

" In this box." Papa said, pointing at the huge box kept in the living room.

" What's that?" I asked excited.

" See for yourself." He replied and I ran towards the box, almost tripping twice on the way.

As I opened it, a tiny 'woof' sound rang in my ears.

I couldn't believe it...I just could not.

It was a tiny beagle puppy.

I looked at him and he looked at me.

And I burst out crying.

The little cutie came to me and poked his nose in my palm, licking it.

Puppy-

I picked my baby up and kissed him as he started licking my face.

" I have got the best parents and grandfather in this entire universe!" I exclaimed and picked my little bundle of joy up.

" So Shona...what are you going to name him?" Papa asked.

" You all suggest." I proposed.

" Bhoorelal." Grandpa joked and I burst out laughing. My baby was still licking me.

" Enough boo boo. Now let me think a name for you." I talked to him to which he woofed!

" Okay....I can't decide anything." I said, giving up after half an hour. Mumma, papa and baba had already given up.

" Why don't you ask Aditya?" Mumma asked.

That as*hole....never! I'll call my boo boo bhoorelal but never ask him! He is a grade A jerk.

" I'd rather call Aryan." I said and conference called Aryan and Tanya.

" Wasupp S?" He asked.

" Guess what.....I got a pupper!" I exclaimed.

" What, when how and how??" Tanya asked, excited and I told them everything.

" Now I need both of your help in naming my baby!" I said.

" Breed?" Aryan asked.

" Beagle." I replied.

" How about Casper?" He suggested.

" Nah....so common. Something else." Tanya added.

" I agree." I did agree with her.

After an hour of discussion as boo boo was playing on my lap, we came up with Bubbles. Actually, Tanya did.

" Wow Tanya...! I love the name! So when are both of you coming to meet Bubbles?" I asked them.

" Tomorrow morning." Aryan said and then after talking a bit, we hung up.

We had decided to go to college together after they come home to see Bubbles.

" Shona...have dinner beta and your Bubble's dinner is also ready." Mumma called for me.

" Let's go Bubbles." I said, starting to walk and he followed me.

We all had dinner and I went to my room, taking Bubbles along with me. I then captured a lot of his pictures and sent it to Aryan, Tanya and mom.

Mom was online.

" Such a cute surprise! I am looking forward to meet our latest family member soon." Mom replied.

" What! Really mom! I get to keep Bubbles with me!?" I texted.

" Of course beta." She typed back.

" I love you mom!" I replied.

" Love you too. Now go to bed. It's already late. By the way, such a cute name." She remarked.

I sent her a smiling emoji and then tucked Bubbles in his bed.

" Goodnight Bubbles. We start training from tomorrow!" I said to which he woofed!

Such an amazing feeling!

When I took the bed to sleep, sleep was far away from me. Partly because of Bubbles and partly because of my husband dearest but I had realized that what I did was wrong. I should bot have touched his room without asking him so I just swallowed my ego and texted ' Sorry for doing what I did' to him and then kept my phone on the nightstand.

Looking at Bubbles, I had no idea when sleep had engulfed me.

" Wake up Shona. You need to take Bubbles to his morning walk." Mumma said while shaking me to which I immediately woke up.

" That means, Bubbles is not a dream?" I exclaimed.

" Look for yourself." She said, pointing at my feet where currently my little baby was cuddling in my blanket.

" How did he manage to come up?" I asked, amazed.

" Must have climbed in the night because he was sleeping next to you when I came in the morning earlier." She replied and I nodded.

It was such an amazing feeling!

Getting fresh and ready, I took my Bubbles for a morning walk and by the time I was back, Aryan and Tanya were waiting for me in the house.

" Such a cutieee!" Tanya exclaimed as she was him.

Then I realized that Bubbles is a very social pupper because he suddenly got excited seeing new people.

" Bubbles, meet your godfather and godmother." I whispered in his ears, introducing them to him.

" Such an honour." Aryan said dramatically.

" As much as I am loving this, we need to leave or we will get late for college." Aryan added and I nodded.

Mumma took Bubbles with her and we left for college after having breakfast.

All the classes were over by five in the evening. That's the time when I checked my phone.

Aditya had still not replied.

" Fine...don't reply. I don't care. I admitted and apologized for what I did. Cannot do anything more." I muttered to myself as I started for home.

Two days went in a snap of the fingers and It was time to return back to Aditya's place.

I packed all the Bubble's stuff and mine and then the driver dropped me to his house.

" Can't I just run away with you Bubbles?" I asked him but as usual, he just woofed.

Walking inside, mom and dad were in the living room, talking and husband dearest was nowhere in sight. Good!

" Hii mom, dad." I addressed them.

" Welcome back beta." Mom said and dad walked towards me, looking at Bubbles.

" Do you mind if I hold him?" He asked.

" Of course not dad. Here." I said, giving Bubbles to him and Bubbles immediately started licking dad.

" Bubbles....no." I said, sternly.

" Nah...it's okay. I love him." He said and I laughed.

Dad and Bubbles started playing with each other while I dared to walk to the room.

I meekly peeked inside and Aditya was busy working on his laptop.

I just looked at me as I entered the room briefly and then again gave his undivided attention to his laptop. Thank heavens for that!

I immediately went to change and then walked down back in the kitchen to help mom.

The dinner was ready in an hour. Dad was watching TV.

" Dad, have you seen Bubbles?" I asked.

" He was just roaming around here." He replied.

I nodded and went up looking for him. He was nowhere in sight.

I was about to have a panic attack when I saw Bubbles in Aditya's room. On the bed.

Shit, he will kill me for letting a puppy sit on the bed. Shit shit shit!

As I opened the door ajar, Aditya was still working on his laptop with one hand petting Bubbles as he looked at me.

" I am sorry. I'll take him." I quickly said and walked towards Bubbles.

" Let him stay." I heard Aditya as he looked back to his laptop.

I don't understand this man. I really don't!

" Come down for dinner." I spoke up as I served Bubbles with his dinner and then let him play with his chew stick.

All of us had dinner in silence and it was time to retire to bed.

Aditya had most probably gone to his study to work. Good for me!

Seeing this as a brilliant opportunity, I lied down on the couch, placing Bubbles's bed near the couch and before I knew, sleep had already taken over.

The next day, I woke up, rubbing my eyes and saw Bubbles sleeping next to me.

I was on the bed. But....I had slept on the couch. How?

Aditya was still sleeping and he was on the couch.

" What does he think of himself. Who allowed him to carry me from the couch to the bed? I did not!" I muttered to myself while getting up.

Swara's Look-

I freshened up in twenty minutes and came back to the room only to see Bubbles and Aditya still sleeping. I smiled at my baby and struck my tongue out at husband dearest when he opened his eyes.

" I looked away, embarrassed. Wow! way to go Swara." I muttered to myself and immediately went out.

Dad had taken up the responsibility to walk Bubbles so they both went outside while I had breakfast.

" Mom, I have a conference in London regarding an acquisition so I leave today evening." Aditya said.

" You should have told me earlier." She replied to him.

I was too zoned out to hear the rest of their conversation.

He was going to London and did not tell me.

What bullshit Swara? Why will he tell you and moreover....why do you care?

Quickly finishing my breakfast, I took my bag.

" Bye mom, dad and Bubbles. I'll see you in the evening." I said and started for college, feeling a slight stupid ache in my heart for no reason whatsoever.

Either I was losing my mind or I had a serious medical issue!
