It's already getting too late now. I should probably start now if I have to catch a bus and reach school. I brushed my hair back once more and tied it up in a neat ponytail.

"Phew, why are you so late? When I didn't see you, I thought you'd taken the day off or something."

"Nope, Ian. I gotta stay close to my bro." Half bro. I reminded myself.

"See you later then."

"Bye."

Ian was 2 years older to me but just like my twin. He helped me in every situation but at times it was hard for me to love him as much as he does to me because even though we share the same father, our mothers are different and it always will be. I have never tried to ask him whether his love for me was only out of sympathy. I knew the answer. I just didn't need to remind myself.

"Hey Emma. You know what the answer of this is? " The girl sitting next to me whisper-shouted. I shook my head for a no.

"Hey, umm... What was your name again? "

"Mei Liu. You know Mei means gorgeous? My parents loved me so much as I was their first child so they named me gorgeous. Lovely right?" 

"Emma, so tell me what was the name of Julius Caesar's wife?"

"Calpurnia"

"Good sit down. Mei, why do you think Caesar was killed and in your opinion was it right to do so?"

"Caesar was killed by the conspirators among whom Cassius just wanted to take over the kingdom and this would happen only if he slayed Caesar and he knew that this would not be possible until he got the support of a very prominent person in the country. So, he took Brutus's help telling him that Caesar was becoming very ambitious which was true but all the while hiding the truth from him. When the citizens of Rome came to know about Caesar's death and shortly afterwards, Brutus's speech they confirmed that it was right that the conspirators killed him but listening to Mark Antony's speech the crowd swayed and took position against the conspirators. Now, according to my opinion, killing Caesar wasn't a good idea as they suffered a great loss and there was utter destruction and chaos against the conspirators shortly after his death."

"Brilliant! Good work. I can see that you have quite understood this chapter well. So, you and Emma can partner for this project and do a detail study of Caesar's life till death unlike how Shakespeare interpreted it."

"Ok."

"Wow Mei. That was amazing. How did you even do that?"

"Literature is my life. Especially when it comes to Shakespeare."

"I thought you didn't know about that chapter when you asked me what the answer was."

"Well, that was just to initiate a conversation."

"Hmm...Clever." We both rolled up in laughter. 

After that, we became the best of friends.
