You bit your lip slightly as you continued writing your potions essay. Your fingers were coated with ink and for once you wondered why Hogwarts couldn't use normal pens and not quills.

Your writing got chopier as you neared the end of your essay. You were ready to celebrate and jump in the air until you heard a thud and ink filled you paper.

You eyes widened and you were speechless. You looked up from your paper to see a wide eyed Remus Lupin, looking as guilty as possible.

"Remus, what did you do." you tried to act calm as you looked at Remus but anyone could see the hidden anger underneath your eyes.

"I-I'm s-so sorry.." Remus apologized quickly, his hands scrambling to grab you essay and perform different spells on it. Despite how many spells he did, there were still splotches pf ink on your paper.

You pushed your chair back, standing up abruptly, grabing the rest of your stuff and exited the library, leaving a stuttering Remus Lupin behind.

You shuffled in your seat as Slughorn shuffled through all the homework that was given to him. Feeling eyes burning in the side of your head, you turned back only to make eye contact with Remus. He gave you a small smile while you scowled at him. Sirius caught your attention as he looked between you and Remus with raised eyebrows and sent you a wink. You glared at him.

You turned around just in time to see Slughorn put all the homework back on his desk. "I must say," he started. You were ready to be embarrassed and maybe lose some house points. "I'm suprised that you forgot to do your homework, Mr. Lupin."

Your eyes grew slightly wide as you looked at Remus who tried to look anywhere but you. With heated cheeks, he looked at Slughorn. "I'm sorry professor, I just didn't have time." he lied.

Slughorn pursed his lips and nodded. You were still looking at Remus and noticed Sirius whisper something in his ear. Remus turned beet read and finally looked up and met you disbelieving gaze.

You couldn't pay attention the entire hour so as soon as you were able to leave, you stood up and headed towards Remus' table. Sirius and James were the first to notice you as they sent you smirks.

Remus then looked at the boys with a glare then finally looked at you with a nervous smile. "We're gonna leave you two to it." Sirius smirked as James dragged him outside.

"Er...hi." Remus shuffled uncomfortably in his seat under your stare.

"Why did you do that?" you asked curiously as Remus tried to act nonchalant.

"Uh, what are you talking about?" he nervously chuckled but then stopped at your bored expression. "Look, I messed up your essay yesterday so I just...wrote your name on my essay."

A puzzled expression crossed your face. "But why would you do that? You don't even know me."

Remus nervously avoided your gaze. "I li- I just wanted to?" he stated more like a question.

You sighed and smiled slightly at him. "Well, thanks Lupin. I owe you one."

He smiled back at you as he blushed harder and watched you leave the classroom. As you left the classroom, you nearly had a heart attack when you saw Sirius and James leaning on the door with curious expressions. When they caught sight of you, they quickly scrambled to their feet to make it look like they weren't eavesdropping.

You raised and eyebrow as James and Sirius laughed nervously. "Good day, Y/N." James said while elbowing Sirius.

"Yeah, very good." Sirius agreed while sending you a smirk.

Remus then exited the classroom and at the sight of his two friends it seemed like he mentally facepalmed. "Sorry Y/N, they haven't eaten much today yet." he sent you a small smile as you sent him one back, ignoring the accusing shouts of James and Sirius.

"I have to go back to class. See you later, Lupin." you sent Remus a smile as Sirius and James sent eachother small smirks.

You walked away from the boys but suddenly a hand shot out and grabbed your elbow. You turned around and caught sight of Remus who quickly let go of your elbow when you raised your eyebrow.

"So, um, you said you owed me. Do you want to maybe study with me in the Library? Not a date or anything I just thought-" you cut Remus' rant with a chuckle.

"Sure, Remus. We can do that." you smiled and pretended to ignore how Sirius and James high fived from behind Remus.

It had been a couple of months already since you started studying with Remus in the library and you cursed yourself everytime for accepting his invitation that day in potions. Why? Well because now you had a huge crush on Remus.

Now it occurred to you how someone could not have a crush on Remus Lupin. He was a beautiful stuttering mess, with rosy cheeks and a toothy smile. He was anything but a nerd as he taught you many pranks and how to not get caught. He was perfect.

You hurried down a narrow hallway and finally caught your breath as you arrived at the library. You went inside and caught sight of Remus, shuffling through papers with furrowed eyebrows. Your heart beat a little faster with each step you took closer to him.

When he heard you, he looked up and sent you one of his beautiful smiles. "Hey, Y/N."

"Hi, Lupin." you breathed out, not even seeing how Remus' expression dropped once again at the use of his last name. It wasn't much, he knew that, but it showed that you would never see him as something more. Only as a friend who helps you study.

Remus cleared his throat once you sat down next to him. "Anyway, today we will be-"

You tried to pay attention, you really did. You sucked at potions, you could only blow stuff up. But your eyes couldn't look away from his lips. Their red tint or how they curved when he talked about a subject he liked. You couldn't look away.

"Y/N?" Remus' voice finally reminded you that you were staring for way to long. Of course he had to notice.

You quickly looked up at his curious expression and mustered a small smile. "Yeah, um you were saying?"

Remus looked away from his notes and turned his chair towards you. "No really, what's wrong?"

You wanted to look away from his honey colored eyes, but they were looking at you so intently. And you could only splutter one thing. "I like you. A lot."

Your eyes widened the moment you said that. "I mean, not that you need to say something I just wanted to let you know just so it wouldn't be that awkward between us. Merlin I think I made it even more awkward-"

Remus was suprised. But it was the best kind of surprise he could get. You liked him back. Merlin, he waited for this moment for two years. And so while you rambled, he grew some confidence and swiftly grabbed both your cheeks in his soft hands and brought your lips upon his.

It was better than he could have imagined. Your lips were soft against his and as you overcame you shock, you started kissing him back. Your hands tangled in his hair as his stayed on you cheeks. It wasn't a messy kiss, it was sweet and filled with love and it made your heart flutter.

Once you pulled away, a small smile made it's way on both of your faces. "I've wanted to do that for a while." Remus admitted.

You chuckled and pecked him again. "I'm glad you finally did it."
