Anna's pov*****

I looked at the clock and sighed.

Was I too harsh on her? Did I yell at her too much? Oh why did I have to yell at her.

It's been over two hours and Celeste and dark were still not back yet.

"Anna are you alright?"

I looked over and saw zant looking at me worriedly.

I sighed, "do you think I was too hard on Celeste?"

Zant shook his head, "I mean it wasn't ok if she actually hurt that kid."

I looked down at my hands, "I guess you're right."

I looked up and saw sheik walking down the stairs and into the kitchen. He looked pretty pissed off. I gave zant a questioning look and he just shrugged.

I got up and followed sheik in the kitchen.

"Hey sheik, you ok?"

"Fine."

I flinched, he never talks to me rudely much less yells at me. I walked closer to him and put my hand on his back.

"Are you sure? You look pretty worked up about something. Why are you so angry?" I asked worry evident in my voice.

He moved away from me letting my hand fall to my side. "I'm fine, it's none of your business anyways."

I frowned, "well geez I'm sorry, I didn't mean to worry about you."

He looked at me, first his expression showed hurt and apologizing. Then just like that it was replaced with a cold hard look.

"Don't worry about me. It's none of your business."

I frowned. Why is he mean to me all of the sudden?! What did I do to him?!

"What is your problem?!"

He glared at me, "you are! You're my problem!"

What?

Tears threatened to spill out of my eyes but I managed to keep myself from crying in front of him.

"I'm the problem?! How?! What did i even do to you?! Yesterday you were all happy and talking to me and stuff now all of the sudden you hate me? Did I offend you in some way?!"

He laughed, "yes you did actually, and you're asking what you did wrong? You won't even figure that out on your own! Seriously Anna can't you do anything right?!"

I felt like my heart shattered in million dust sized pieces.

What did I do wrong?

"W-what did I do wrong? At least tell me what I did wrong!" Once again tears threatened to spill down my cheeks.

Sheik only glared at me and left the kitchen.

Leaving me alone. Crying and completely heart broken.

Why can't I do anything right?

Celeste's pov***

I kept on walking through the dark alleyway. Normally I would listen to Anna and stay away from the ally ways but I really didn't feel like walking through the crowds of people walking in the streets.

I thought back at what Anna had told me earlier. She was right in getting mad at me.

And I felt horrible for saying all those horrid things to her.

I made a mental note of apologizing to her once I got home.

I really didn't mean to hurt that boy. It's just that lately I've been feeling a bit weird.

I don't know how to explain it.

It's just this weird feeling and bam I attacked that guy for no reason. What is happening to me?

"Well well, look here fellas. What's a pretty lady like you doing in the dark parts of La? Didn't mommy ever tell you it dangerous for pretty girls like you to be wandering alone?"

My eyes widened in fear. I turned around and faced three men two of which looked like your normal everyday burglars and the leader which I recognized right away.

I felt my heart drop all the way to my stomach.

The man with long black hair, smirking right at me, was the same man that murdered my parents.

"Leave me alone."

I whispered taking steps backwards hoping they would go away.

"Aren't you the little girl I missed that one time I killed a rich couple? Look at you after all these years you've grown into a sexy young lady." He smirked.

I felt my back hit the wall and I looked at the man in fear. "What do you want from me?"

He grinned an evil smile. Showing a pair of sharp fangs.

"You don't know how long I've been looking for you and your sisters.. I can finally finish what I started long ago.." The man back handed me across the face, causing me to fall into the ground. I let out a scream in pain when he grabbed my hair and picked me off the ground.

He laughed, "my, just look at you. You don't seem very threatening to me. What happened to the powerful blood running through your veins huh?"

He let go of my hair only to pick me up by my throat.

I whimpered, "who are you.. What do you want?"

He smirked. "Wow little cousin. Did mommy never mention me?"

What? Cousin?

"My name is arithen. I'm pretty sure mommy told you about me."

My vision started to blur, I clawed at his hand in attempts to break free or at least get some air.

Arithen laughed once again, "you're pathetic.. I expected a bit more of a fight from you.."

I whimpered. But before I could pass out from lack of oxygen I saw someone knock into said man.

"Don't you dare lay your filthy hands on my girl.."

My vision cleared and I saw dark standing in front of me. Glaring at the three men.

Arithen growled, "kill him.. Leave the girl to me."

Both of the men ran towards dark. But they were too slow. He kicked the first guy in the face leaving him out cold, and punched the second guy in the throat.

In seconds flat both men were knocked unconscious on the floor.

Arithen glared at dark. "Don't get into others business demon!"

I saw dark smirk, "finally, someone who knows what I'm capable of!"

Dark and Arithen both started fighting. Both equal in strength.

Though dark was at a huge disadvantage.

Arithen pulled out his dagger, the Same one he killed my parents with, and pointed it at dark.

Dark laughed. "A dagger? You think I'm afraid of your little butter knife?" 

Arithen smirked, "I guess your right. Although this little butter knife wasn't made to hit demons. Instead it's made for killing your precious little girlfriend right there."

Dark glared and began attacking Arithen once again.

I heard someone groan and I turned to see one of the guys wake up.

I saw him pull out something and then my heart started racing.

A gun.

"DARK!"

Dark stabbed Arithen in the shoulder with his own dagger, making him release a painful howl. 

The man fired.

And hit dark.

I screamed and dark threw the dagger hitting the man in between the eyes before falling on the floor.

Tears spilled down my cheeks as I got up and stumbled towards dark.

I looked around and Arithen was nowhere to be seen. "Dark look at me! Look at me please!"

He opened his eyes lazily and smiled, "that bastard ran before I could kill him," he winced in pain, "remind me to hunt him down and kill him."

I shook my head, "shut up and focus on living!" I took off my hoodie and pressed it against dark's wound on his chest.

"This is all my fault. I should have stayed home. Damn it dark don't die. Please don't die!" I sobbed, I put more pressure on the wound to make the bleeding stop.

Dark winced in pain and reached up to touch my cheek. "Hey there, don't cry. I'll be up and walking in no time. You'll see."

I cried, shaking my head "no dark, don't leave me, please I'm begging you. Don't leave me! I love you. Please! You promise you'd stay with me forever! You made a promise!" 

He smiled. "I didn't think it was possible, but thanks to you I learned what love is. I love you too Celeste."

I kissed him, repeatedly, on the forehead, cheek, hand, and even lips. I had lost my parents to that man. I didn't want to lose the love of my life to him also.

"Please dark. Stay with me. PLEASE DAMN IT!" I cried even louder.

He smiled at me, caressing my cheek. And then his hand went limp.

No.

My heart shattered in a million pieces.

I screamed.

"DARK!"
