Feren walked back to his sister's room to talk to her or rather do anything to take his mind off his misery of losing his keys. When he got there some red yarn was going in. Strange, he thought. He went inside but Tinsil wasn't there. He saw the yarn lead to her desk. Curious he went over to see what it was attached too.

There was a note there, and it was addressed to him. What's going on? He opened the note, and here's what it said:

Dear Marchwarden,

I believe it has been said that you are missing your keys. If you want to find them and put yourself out of your misery than follow the red yarn please.

And that was it. No signature or clue who wrote it at the bottom...wait a minute. So Tinsil did take my keys! That little sneak! When I get my hands on her I'll..I'll...I don't know, but I'll think of something.

I unattached the red yarn from the note and started to ravel it up as I follow it down the hall. And then down the stairs. And then down a hall, and up other stairs, and then down a hall and a turn. Man, how far does this go? Feren was puzzled as he was making a little ball of yarn. After that it was just down one more hall.

Wait...what if it's a trick? Probably not, she's done enough already. He rolled up the yarn until it went under a door. Strange. I knocked on the door, and heard a muffled come in.

"I can't believe that y-" but Feren stopped short when he saw it wasn't Tinisl at all. It was another elf maiden that he thought he had seen Tinisil with. She looked like she was in deep thought with something in her hand. "Oh I'm sorry. I thought you were my sister. You see she took my-"

She turned around and faced him and his eyes widened at what was in her hand. "My keys!" He shouted. "So it wasn't Tinsil. Why did you take them?"

She looked confused. "I didn't take them. I found them."

"You did?" He said not entirely believing her.

"Yes I did. You see I was given a note that had been passed and it said to go different places and each place had a new note until I eventually ended up here."

"That doesn't explain my keys."

"I found them in the last envelope just now on my bed. I didn't know who's they were."

"Oh." Said Feren.

"So why did you come to my bedroom?"

"Your what?"

"My bedroom."

"This is your bedroom?"

She looked at him funny but still answered."Yes."

"I'm terribly sorry Lady..."

"Istaril," she filled in for him,"and you isn't have to call me lady, Istaril is fine."

"Well then,I'm sorry Istaril. I didn't know. I got her a slightly similar way." Feren then related a summary of what happened.

"This is all so strange. Why would someone do this?"

"I have no idea. I'm in as much in the dark as you are." String into her eyes. He didn't realize it until now but she was a very beautiful elleth.

"So I guess you'd like your keys back now?"

"Huh? Oh yeah, I guess so." He said and they chuckled. She handed him the keys and he felt like he was burned where her fingers brushed against.

"Um, so Istaril. Have you seen the palace yet?"

"No not all of it. Although Tinsil has shown me a lot of the gardens and forsst."

"Would you like to see it?"

"I'd love to." She said.

Feren held out his arm to her. "Shall we then?" He said and gave a handsome smile. She blushed slightly as took his arm and nodded. They walked out of her room and Feren started to give her a your grinning from ear to ear.
