She had just got home her wings weren't tired

I'm the one who gets the longest time home because I live so close she thought

"Hey Sunset" her uncle Vermillion said

"Hi Vermillion" Sunset replied

He had her younger brother Cliff next to him

"I'm going to see if I can find some of my friends bye" Sunset said

And she took off and flew away

"Hey Sunset" Crag said

Crag was a good friend nothing else

"Where are Jay and Kiwi?" Sunset asked

"At our secret hide out" Crag answered

They had built the hide out not long after they learned to fly

There hide out was somewhere they could just be friends and hang out without any of the royalty stuff

And they flew to there hide out

"Hey Sunset! It's amazing to see you again" Jay said

"Yeah it's nice to see you too" Sunset replied and smiled

"Oooo did Jay make the princess blush" Kiwi asked

"What no" Sunset replied and covered her face with her wings

Because in fact she was blushing

"Then why are you hiding your face?" Kiwi asked

Sunset did answer that

"Jay I think she loves you" Kiwi said

"What! No I just uh... like him as a friend that's all" Sunset replied

She uncovered her face once it returned to its normal color

"Hey uh.. Sunset would it of mattered if I had shown a few of my friends this place" Crag asked

"No not at all" Sunset answered

And then two new Skywings flew in

"Wow are you Sunset if you are your name machs your scale design" the deep redish orange Skywing said

"Sunset meet Swan and Rust" Crag said (quick note I love making hybrids so you well see a lot of them)

"I'm Swan and yes I'm a hybrid" the blue and red Skywing said

"I'm guessing a SkySea hybrid" Sunset replied

Swan nodded

"I don't mind hybrids in fact my winglet at jade mountain has multiple hybrids in it" Sunset said

"Really that's cool" Rust said he was the darker colored Skywing

"But you joining us means that this Skywing group grows!" Sunset replied

"No royal stuff here" Kiwi said

"Does that me-" Rust said

"I said no royal stuff our princess doesn't like to deal with that kind of stuff with her friends" Kiwi interrupted

"Hmm odd but okay" Swan replied

"I'll tell you later" Sunset promised

"So what kind of hybrids are at jade mountain?" Jay asked

"Well I'm pretty sure there are two SandIce hybrids and there are definitely two NightRain hybrids and then there is a SkyNight and I think professor Sunny is a SnadNight hybrid" Sunset answered

"Wow that's quite a few hybrids" Swan said

"I know" Sunset replied

"How many do you know" Rust asked

"I know both the NightRain hybrids and the SkyNight" Sunset answered

"Can we be done talking about jade mountain it's getting boring" Kiwi asked (like in Kiwi the bird)

"I won't talk about Jade mountain anymore" Rust aggred

"Me either" Swan said

Leatherback is kinda nice and his jokes are funny Sunset thought

Wait why did I start thinking about Leatherback Sunset wondered

"I should probably get home before my mother starts worrying where I went" Sunset said

"Oh alright" Swan replied

"Bye" Sunset said and took off and flew to the palace

"I said Sunset went to see her friends" Vermillion said from around the corner

"Why wouldn't she come home to see me first" Ruby asked

"Sorry for worrying you mother" Sunset said as she came around the corner

"Oh Sun it's alright" Ruby replied

Sun it was her nickname

"It's only Alright for Sunset" Vermillion grumbled

"Did you growl at Vermillion because I didn't come here first?" Sunset asked

"Yes. Sorry brother" Ruby replied

Vermillion nodded in reply

"Come on let's get some lunch" Ruby said

"You sister got here before you did" Vermillion told Sunset

"I'll come for lunch but I'm going to but my stuff away" Sunset said

"Okay Sun" Ruby replied

And Sunset walked up to her room and inside it

And she put her bag of stuff on her bed and went to the dining room

"Hey Sunset" her oldest sister Phoenix said

"Hi where's Skylight. Doesn't she normally hang out with you?" Sunset asked

"I'm not sure where she is or why she's not hanging out with me" Phoenix replied

I have so many good friends Sunset thought

And Skylight walked in

"Let's eat" Ruby said

And they ate

"Mmm that was good" Vermillion said

"Sometimes I miss being the announcer for mothers arena" Vermillion said

"Well I'm glad to be rid of it" Ruby replied

Sunset had faint memories of the arena and they weren't memories that she was fond of

Leatherback is a royal like me so he understands what that's like. Oh why m'I think of him again Sunset thought

"So Skylight what took you so long to come to lunch" Phoenix asked

"I was just putting stuff away" Skylight answered

"You could have let me know then I could have helped you" Phoenix replied

"I guess I didn't think to ask" Skylight said

"It's alright" Phoenix replied

Skylight smiled "of course it is nothing is ever not alright with you"

Or you well make it very clear Sunset finished in her mind

"Now let's eat" Ruby said

And they ate there lunch

Cliff ran over to her "can we play a game?"

"Like what?" Sunset replied

"Ooo ooo a race" Cliff said

"I'll be up for a race" Sunset replied

"Yay let's fie to where we met you today and bac" Cliff said

Cliff may be small but he was really fast when he was flying

"I can start your race" Vermillion offered

"Yea start" Cliff said

And he followed them down the hall to the entrance

"Alright ready set go..at" Vermillion said

And they took off

"Hey I didn't say go I goat" Vermillion called after them

"What! Seriously you are annoying" Sunset said

As she and Cliff flew back to him

"Alright ready set go!" Vermillion said

And they took off not caring if he say some other word that started with go

The race was a tie
