Remus and Sirius (again)

It was just gone three am in the Gryffindor common room and Remus was sitting on the floor by the fire, staring ahead and blinking back tears.
Remus didn't hear the soft footsteps coming towards him.
"Moony? It's three in the morning, is everything okay?" Sirius sat down next to Remus and wrapped his blanket around Remus.
"Everything's fine. It's not like I've just realised that my dad probably wants me dead. I was attacked by Greyback because my dad said that werewolves deserve to die. He probably hates me...I hate myself. I don't belong here, I'm not a true Gryffindor. You are all braver than I am. Hell, you walked out on your family during the summer. I just spent hours in the basement trying not to hurt anyone but myself. It's getting worse, I can't control it at all anymore. I'm so scared I'm going to hurt someone. I'm scared I'm going to hurt you guys whenever you come with me." Remus' voice was barely more than a whisper, but Sirius heard every word.
"What do you mean you don't belong here? You deal with far worse than any of the rest of us do. So I left my family, it was that or be beaten to death. Besides, we would rather we were there for you. We don't want to leave our best friend alone when you go through that."
"You don't understand. Just go back to bed. I'll be okay soon..." Remus trailed off sadly.
Sirius did indeed go back upstairs, but returned shortly after with James.
"I'm going to go to the kitchens and get some hot chocolate and Sirius will stay here with you. Peter is fast asleep, otherwise he would be here too." James said quietly.
James disappeared off, covering himself with the invisibility cloak and holding the marauder's map to avoid teachers. Remus rested his head on Sirius' shoulder.
"You don't have to do this, you know that right?"
"What friends would we be if we just left you here alone?" Sirius answered gently.
Remus shrugged. "I wouldn't blame you if you did leave me. I'd leave me, if I could." Tears escaped, but he quickly brushed them away, hoping that Sirius didn't see.
Sirius had seen and pulled Remus into a hug. "You can cry you know. We wouldn't blame you."
For the first time since the friends had met Remus cried freely in front of Sirius.
Nearly fifteen more minutes passed and Remus fell asleep on Sirius' shoulder. The common room door swung open and James returned with a flask of hot chocolate and three cups.
"The house elves said they'd collect the stuff tomorrow evening." He whispered. He glanced at Remus and then at Sirius and smirked. "You like him, don't you."
Sirius looked at the sleeping boy, smiled and nodded.
