Soulmates. What's even the point? I mean, I used to ask myself this, before I met Alex. He was a transfer from the Caribbean, and he caught my eye immediately. We were paired together for a project and his shoulder brushed mine, and BOOM! Alex's pitch black hair and gorgeous dark eyes, Jefferson's magenta jacket, Herc's red bandana, everything was in full color. I was shocked, as was he. We stared at each other for a moment, then he pulled me into the hall. I don't really want to say what happened after that, but let's just say that there was a lot more kissing than talking. That was almost a year ago. We've been dating ever since. I'm a very artsy person so I decided to write him a song for our one-year anniversary. I finished it a few weeks ago and have been practicing for today. "Lexi?" "Yes freckles?" I giggled at his pet name. "Can you come here for a second? I'm in the living room." "Okay hon." The piano stopped and there was silence. I looked up at Alex and he was crying. "Lexi? Are you okay bab-" I was interrupted with the hugest hug ever given by a 5'6" man. "That was beautiful! You wrote that? For me?" I nodded and he started crying again. "I love you so god damn much John, you have no idea!" "I love you too!" He pulled away and grabbed my face, slamming his lips against mine in a passionate kiss. I kissed back and wrapped my arms around his feminine like waist. "Get a room!" I pulled away and he buried his face in my chest, probably embarrassed. "Hey Laf, why don't you leave the room then?" He rolled his eyes and walked away, then me and Alex exploded in a fit of giggles. "Come on babe, let's go back." "Okay freckles." I smiled and we walked back to the dorm, hand in hand.
