Most people know about The Seven Deadly Sins: Pride, Envy, Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Wrath, and Sloth. They are the incarnate versions of the emotions that tempt us to further become more horrible people, or to sin furthermore. Pride is linked to vanity and arrogance, Envy is linked to jealousy and bitterness, and Lust is linked to bad desires and wanting non-necessary things too much- which is quite similar to Greed, who is linked to entirely selfish intentions, and those two can also be tied in with Gluttony who is all about over self-indulgement. Then there's Sloth, who is linked to laziness and ignorance... and finally Wrath- who is linked to anger, power, and violence. 

I recently watched a DC movie called Shazam! , which I quite enjoyed, in which the main antagonist is being used by the Sins to... take over the world, I think? I actually can't remember what they were trying to do LMAO. Anyway, I liked the way they were portrayed in the movie, and it inspired me to do my own take on The Seven Deadly Sins. So... the following are versions of Sloth, Wrath, Greed, Gluttony, Lust, Envy, and (generally my favorite) Pride, in a universe I invented.

The seven of them live in and rule over a foul world where everyone is pretty much twisted and spiteful. Most people look human, but some often have odd alien features like weirdly colored skin, fangs, wings, or appendages emerging from their back. These all play into helping them carry out their main purpose- to sin and make the world worse, pretty much for the entertainment of The Seven. Each person is an individual, but they unconsciously select a sin at birth that will be their primary way of sinning for their existence. If someone chose Greed then they might, for example, become a thief who steals valuable things for no reason at all but to sell them off, make money, and use that money to make more money- even though they have so much money they don't even need any more! They just want to have more money than everyone else. Someone who chose Envy might become a serial killer who simply kills people they are jealous of. They spend their days scowling at everyone, especially those who are better off than them in almost any field, and plotting their next murder.

This is the main base realm of the Sins, but there are multiple dimensions so they split parts of themselves off to control the versions of their homeworld in other alternate realms (like how in Spiderman: Into the Spiderverse there were lots of Earths with different Spidermen). The majority of these clones are kinder, more beautiful, and more inclined to be good, but they are also weak. If a rebellion ever were to happen- which it probably won't- it would take all of the clone Sins combined together in one great force to overpower the original Seven. 

Though The Seven Deadly Sins are all labeled with the title of ruler, their control over their world is not evenly distributed- and they are all constantly at each other's throats. Pride is the unofficial leader of the group because she is the most stubborn and knows how to manipulate the other six into following her orders. Wrath is next because she is the strongest, and often scares or intimidates her kin into agreeing with her. Greed and Lust tend to work together to get their way when it comes to ruling and overrunning the verdicts that the rest of the Sins have laid down, though because of their "do LITERALLY whatever it takes" attitudes they often end up stabbing each other in the back. Sloth never provides much input to the ruling, in fact, she is rarely seen not lazing around, so she is therefore automatically at the bottom of the pecking order. Gluttony waits until something of interest comes up for her, and then takes a desperate snatch at being in charge until she gets her target, but when nothing really feels good enough for her high-standard wants she fades into the background where she acts as much of a low-threat to her sisters as possible. Then there's Envy. The most intelligent and conniving of them all, she is ALWAYS challenging EVERYTHING anyone does, especially Pride, which Pride ABSOLUTELY HATES. She can not stand watching someone else being better or more pleased or more satisfied or more well off than her. The Sin's names do them justice.

I have yet to find an online character designer that makes creepy, ugly, and evil-looking enough demons to be the pure forms of The Seven Deadly Sins in this world, but I have other versions ready, and each one is ranked in the order they were created. I ones who were created first are more like the real Sins, the ones created last are the gentler and nicer clones. 

I enjoyed making these, and I'll probably be updating often as I make more and more versions for each dimension/alternate universe!
