The low humming, the quiet drops of rainwater and the sound of rubber tire hitting the road while police play their sirens on repeat.

The vehicle being chased in question was a large black van, the men in question? Bank robbers. The man who drove the van with the short red hair and scruffy beard yelled to the back, "Hey Marvin! All the cash is accoutered for?"

The large man in the back with his swept up blonde hair tied up the bags and nod his head.

"Yeah! We got them real good, Martin! The Boss will be real happy."

Martin, the chubby red short haired behind the wheel grinned to himself, "Great, we're about to get a great pay day."

The two men chuckled, until they got a quick jab in the stomach, Martin growled as he glared at the tall, brown skinned man with the half shaven hairstyle as he kept leaning in the passenger seat.

"Hey! What the hell, Arvin?!" Martin growled; Arvin hissed. "Idiots, keep the laugher to a minimum! We'll laugh when we get to the base."

"Ah you stress too much. Nobody gonna catch us, not those flimsy cops, and especially not those savior syndicate losers, too chummy."

"Whatever. Keep it going." Arvin stated as Marvin pushes the van to the extreme as police sirens kept blaring loud and on into the night.

9/11/2115, Sapphire High, 8:20 Am

"Crap! Crap! Crap!" Kandi cursed to herself, running down the stairs, and grabbing whatever food she could get to feed herself for the long day.

Two people sat at the dinner table, Melinda Godiva and Tyrone Godiva, he read the newspaper while Melinda drank her coffee, "Let me guess, honey, you slept too late?"

"Yep!" Kandi called out from the kitchen, stuffing her face with cereal before chucking it into the sink and grabbing her keys, "I love you! TAKECARE!" She called out super-fast before booking out of the apartment, slamming the door behind her!

"Shit! Shit shit!" Kandi kept rushing down the hallway to herself, she could have just went towards the garage to grab her car, but now wasn't the time for that!

As she kept on moving, ducking underneath strangers and being on the stairs, and as Kandi didn't notice it, her watch began to sparkle again and again, causing her to go faster than she was realizing!

Of course, she didn't realize it until she ran right into a brick wall of the school, hurting herself, she rubbed her head and felt her head spin around and around and around.

"Ugh! Why is this my life?" Kandi cursed to herself; Cookie peeked their head out of the watch as Kandi rubbed her forehead and bend down. "Please, please tell me nobody saw that. I will not leave witnesses!"

Cookie looked around, seeing the big bushes around them, they shook their head, "You're all good here, Kandi."

"Great, thanks man." Kandi smiled and stood up, "Okay, look, here's the catch. I need you to not pop-up during school time."

"Why?" Cookie titled their heads, Kandi stared at Hyena dumfounded, "Because if you do, I'm pretty sure somebody, probably a crazed scientist or some weird government officials might take you away-"

Kandi paused and saw Cookie's eyes paralyzing with fear and they shook slightly. Did she hit too close to home? She bit the inside off her cheek.

Kandi pulled out a chocolate chip cookie and handed it over to them, Cookie floated down and bit into it.

"Thank you..."

"No Probs." Kandi smiled softly and patted Cookie on the head, Cookie smiled and sunk back down into the watch.

Kandi stood up and brushed off some grass off her off the shoulder top and jogged her way inside of school. This was gonna be a day, a very, very, very long day.

Kandi slunk into the school building, quiet it was, nobody there to scold her for being late, or there to be upset with her or whatever!

She grabbed a lollipop and chewed on it, her eyes looking left and right, the only sound that she heard were her footsteps.

And then the "thud" sound stole the spotlight. Kandi scanned around the hallways, jogging towards the sound. What was that? Sure, it's a white girl move to head towards a weird sound, but her curiosity peaked.

She stuck to the wall and peeked at the wall and-
"Woah..." Kandi whispered to herself. Black, shadowy tendrils opened up from the far-right wall where Sana walked through it, turning her head around to see if anyone saw her.

Kandi did, but Sana didn't know that.
Kandi moved her head more and leered.  Is this for real? There's no way she's actually just not thinking or making this up. "Sana?" Kandi called out to, her voice being a bit too loud.

Sana paused and stared at Kandi as Kandi stared right back at her, Sana's eyes widened in pure shock as she began to shake. The shadowy wall closed behind her as Sana just stayed in place.

Oh no. She's so screwed right now. Sana bit her nails as Kandi slowly made her way towards her. "What was that?"

"Uh, I don't know?" Sana gave a fake smile. "Oh, that? Uh, it's just some... special effects? Yeah, special effects."

Kandi crossed her arms and eyeballed at her. "Dude, are you being real with me right now? Because I just saw with my two eyes, shadowy things and you walking out of the wall."

Sana's nervous smile fell off her face and sighed to herself. "No, I'm sorry...! It's hard to explain..."

"Well, you better explain! Please tell me it's not occult shit again! I can only punch a cult leader in the face so many times!"

"No, it's not occult stuff this time..." Sana brushed a hand against her skin and played with her ring, she sighed and show it to Kandi, Kandi looked down at it and blinked.

A cat? But it didn't look like any other cat. It even had three eyes all closed as it slept soundly.

Kandi looked up at Sana and squinted her eyes. "What is that?"

"It's a spirt..." Sana spat out, "Okay, so yesterday, I got these crazy powers where I can use shadows to create stuff to heal people with like little shadow guys, and I can go through walls now? Anyway, I know it's all freaky and-"

"Dude." Kandi raised a hand for her to stop, Kandi ran fast, super wash, causing Sana's bouffant pigtails to swish back and forth when Kandi came back with a water bottle.

Kandi grinned as Sana blinked at her. 'You... you also have..."

"Hell yeah." Kandi chuckled a bit as she showed her watch, where a pink hyena was running around on the watch's hands.

Sana let out a laugh in disbelief. "Oh my god, we have powers..."

"We got powers." Kandi grinned as Sana smiled and hugged Kandi, as Kandi hugged her back in the quiet, quiet hallway.

"Mm..." Tricity's eyes narrowed, she puffed up her cheeks and placed her hands on her hips annoyed while Frostina fixed up her makeup, Frostina looked over at her and raised an eyebrow. "What's wrong? You seemed annoyed."

"Huh?" Tricity shook her head and looked at Frostina, "Oops! Sorry, something happened yesterday, and I think it's a bit annoying!" Tricity crossed her arms and looked away for a bit, Frostina stayed quiet and lightly touched her locker, small frost began to appear, Frostina looked at it and quickly closed her locker.

"Uh, what was is it that you wanted to say?" Frostina cleared her throat, Tricity looked at her confused and played with her necklace a bit. "Well, uh..." Tricity looked around the room again, seeing all of the students talking to each other.

"Uh, maybe let's talk in a second location, where nobody will find us~" Tricity bend down and whispered, Frostina blinked in confusion before she shrugged and followed Tricity as she proceeded to do a lot of odd spy moves, causing her to stick out more.

'Should I tell her? She is drawing more attention to herself...' Frostina pondered as Tricity did a small barrel roll towards the girl's bathroom.

Frostina sighed and walked inside of the bathroom as well, she looked around and nobody was there, but Tricity looking at herself in the mirror, she even knocked on the bathroom stall to double check if anyone was there.

Tricity placed a large grin and took a deep breath before taking Frostina's hands, Frostina glanced down and gently let go before Tricity turned her head in confusion before shaking her head and sighing deeply.

"Okay, yesterday something really awesome happened! But it's gonna sound crazy!"

Tricity grinned nervously and kept shaking her hands excitedly, Frostina hummed a bit before she noticed the lights in the bathroom, dimming up and down again. But before she could point it out, Tricity beat her to the punch, "I got superpowers."

The words hung in the air as Frostina and Tricity stared at each other in shock, Frostina looked at her own bracelet before looking Tricity in the eye.
"Uh, excuse me?"

"I got superpowers! It was all because there was a weird spirit thing that got into my necklace, and it's this super cute dog called Sparky, and I would show her to you, or him, but I can't because-"

Tricity paused as Frostina starred right at her, Frostina took a deep breath and exhaled, her breath being visible even though it's incredibly warm outside, Frostina showed the charm bracelet she had on, now with a bit more snow and ice appearing on it.

Tricity looked up at her and pointed a bit. "Did you-"
"Yes."
"And you also got-"

"Yes." Frostina chuckled a bit, Tricity's eyes sparkled with happiness and excitement as she began to clap for joy and clench on to her hands.

"Oh. My. God!" She bounced for joy and hugged Frostina with all of the excitement in the world as Frostina smiled small.

But then Tricity hopped away and shook her body. "Brr, you're super cold! It's like Antarctic City!" She laughed as Frostina giggled softly.

"Supposedly." Frostina sighed, she crossed her arms, and her eyes soften a bit. "Mm, I'm a bit worried."

"Why? This is awesome! There's so much cool stuff we can do with this stuff now!" She held Frostina by her wrists, her eyes lit up. "We can do so much cool hero stuff with this!"

"Yes, but what about everyone else? What if we discuss it with them and something happens to all of us. I couldn't live in my own skin if we were all put in danger because of a simple mistake." Frostina pleaded.

Tricity's eyes softened a bit before she smiled again. "Hey, nothing will happen to us, and you wanna know why?"

"Because we're best friends?"

"Yeah, because we're best friends! We can do anything as long as we're with each other. Things do tend to go right when we're around." Tricity's smiled seemed to ease Frostina's worry.

Frostina sighed deeply. "Okay. We should probably head to class now."

"Oh my god! Yeah! We should!" Tricity laughed and quickly moved out of there as Frostina followed her behind, smiling softy to herself as they headed for class.

"Ugh..." Andromeda grunted to herself, dusting off the dirt she got on her mini skirt and fixed her big hair.

She looked behind her, the portal disappeared and it sure seems like nobody saw her.

She hops out of the grassy area and looked at her surroundings, with all of the cars around, she was at the school parking lot. She looked around a bit and moved towards the wall where she tapped on the bunny choker, where Bun Bun came out.

"Hello!" Bun Bung sang happily, Andy groaned and quickly covered its mouth. "Mm! What's that's for?" Bun-Bun questioned.

"Sorry, just lower your voice." Andromeda took her hand off as Bun-Bun spun around a bit.
"Woah... what's this place?" Bun asked, lightly tapping the white brick wall.

"School, wait. You're around 100 years old right? How come you don't know what a school is?"Andromeda asked,

Bun-Bun paused for a brief second, pondering that question before its long ears flopped down, looking downtrodden.

Andromeda looked at Bun-Bun and sighed a bit. "Uh, but that's uh, cool? You're breaking so many boundaries, and just because you're old, doesn't mean you're super wise! Wait..."

Andromeda facepalm herself, she's an idiot.

Bun-Bun looked at Andromeda as a little smile appeared on its soft fluffy face.

"You're a fun one, Andromeda Artemis."

Bun-Bun giggled, hopping back inside of Andy's choker, Andromeda looked at her choker for a bit before laying the bunny piece and walking inside of school.

Andromeda grumbled to herself when Mr. Harris lectured her on being tardy and all of that crap she couldn't care less about.

After she handed in her tardy spill, she sat at the back alongside Poppy, who was wearing a cute yellow cardigan and tapped at her desk a bit, when Andromeda noticed that she saw small cracks appearing from the table.

Andromeda looked at her with suspicion before looking back at Mr. Harris who began his speech and teachings about history and old guys that nobody really cared about, and the learnings of some jerk dictator who also ran everything to the ground before getting beheaded after one year of him being in charge.

"Wow... this is kind of long..." Poppy whispered, Andromeda nod her head. "Yeah..."

The girls kept listening to Mr. Harris when Poppy placed one finger on the table, looking the other way for a bit, where Andromeda noticed the small cracks forming from her finger.

Andromeda looked up and down before Poppy looked at her confused. "Dude?"

"Yeah...?" Poppy blinked, Andromeda pointed at her hands, Poppy looked at her hand and saw the cracks, she took her hand off and blinked. "Oh. That's not cool."

"Yeah..." Andromeda mumbled, a weird silence hung over them as Mr. Harris kept chatting on and on about history.

When it got to 10:30, and he let everyone talk about the events and write things down, Andromeda couldn't help but stare at Poppy with confusion before closing her eyes a bit.

Andromeda rip out a piece of paper, wrote something down before passing it around to Poppy.
Poppy looked at the paper.

"That's so crazy how you did that finger cracking thing, probably should teach me how I can do that. :)"

Poppy chuckled before her eyes looked dazed and confused, she shook her head and wrote back on the paper. "Uh, I would dude. But I can't tell you here. I'll tell you after class."

Andromeda nod her head as Poppy smiled and went back to writing notes again in silence. Andy looked at her hands in silence as they sparkled with purple stars and dusts...

Whenever Kandi, Tricity, Sana, Andromeda, Frostina and Poppy were all out together, they had to deal with all different kinds of people when they went out to lunch.

The people who wanted to take pictures of them, even when they'd never asked for it, the weird little kids pointing at them with their tiny baby fingers, and then the older people who wouldn't shut up about how they don't dress "proper" or saying it's strange anyone would let them dress like that or just gave them death glares for existing.

Today, it seemed like the older people had a bone to pick with them as some old lady glaring at them from across the food store, Andromeda smirked and flipped her off as she shoved her fries down her throat.

The girls ate their food within the chatty cafe. An awkward type of silence hung over their table, like they're all meeting for the first time. Kandi tried to say something, but then it turned into a sigh of frustration and confused looks on the girls faces.

Until Tricity pulled out her phone and texted in the group chat.

GamerWhore888: Okay, so yesterday I was doing like cheerleading stuff when this very cute but super grumpy dog possesses my necklace and now, I have the power to control electricity! So, woo-hoo! 😅

SilentScreams: Dude, the same thing happened to me, back in the hospital where I was helping Xylia.

Luxury993: What power did you get? I have the ability to control ice.

SilentScreams: Shadow Powers, to put it simply. I can heal people with them, sort of.

HarajukuBITCH299: Oh, that's the whole scoop? Cool, okay, well I have superspeed, I'm faster than everyone! And I mean, everyone!

MOONSTARS 22: Kind of wanna see that, not gonna lie, but I guess I'm next. I have the ability to control portals and go anywhere I want.

ChildOfTheWorld9: That's nice, I have superstrength! And I accidentally pushed a guy so hard that he passed out. :(

The girls stared at Poppy completely shocked, Kandi's jaw dropped. "Bitch, what?"

"It was an accident. I'm sure he's fine." Poppy moved her head around and swished her lips. .

The girls looked at each other and back at her, Andromeda crossed her arms. "But why did you push him? It doesn't sound like you'd go for violence so quickly."

"I was just trying to stop an argument between the guy and Ms. Maple. Then he got a bit too close to me, so I pushed him. But he went too far and passed out on the ground."

"Eh, sounds like you did the right thing to me. That jerk shouldn't have even tried it." Kandi huffed.

"Totally agree- "Before Tricity finished her sentence, one of the big tv in the cafe began to play news, everyone looked over to it.

"In other news, Focus Corporation was targeted last night, 3 million dollars were stolen in cash. This is another example of banks being targeted, the police and the savior syndicate demand justice and ask for civilians to keep a lookout for anything odd."

Andromeda rolled her eyes and leaned back in her chair. "And then while they let a couple of grunts go, they pose into the cameras because they're just pretty little empty tanks."

Andromeda scoffed. "Yeah, and then send one grunt to do all of the work while they pose for pictures, like chumps."

"They'd all make great politicians, with the lack of action on their part." Frostina sipped her tea while the rest of the girls giggled at this.

The girls stayed quiet for a bit, eating their food but constantly glancing at each other's accessories and at their own a bit. Kandi grinned to herself before slamming her hands on the table. "Let's talk after school, I think I have an idea."

When School, the sweet old prison, finally let out its prisoners, aka its students, Kandi was the last one to rush out of the door, jumping over bushes before finally nearing a bench where the rest of her friends sat.

"Yo!" Kandi exhaled, wiping sweat off her forehead, Tricity giggled, "Ha, ha! It took you so long!"

"Ey, give me a break! The kids in our school move like turtles." Kandi wiped off her lip and stood up straight. "Okay, so I have an idea, but before I say it, I need everyone to be really chill about it, no pun intended, Frost." Kandi winked as Frostina chuckled and shook her head.

"None taken, Kandi."

Kandi grinned and kept on going, "Okay, so we know this place is on a hill to total chaos and anarchy! But like, not in the good kind of way, and we got these crazy powers, so here's what I'm thinking. Let's be heroes."

"W-wait, what?!" Sana blurted out, she quickly covered her mouth and looked around to see if anyone heard her, Andromeda bit her lip, as if in deep thought. "I mean..."

"B-but, there's no way we can do that!" Sana blurted out, "I mean, just think of everything that could happened, we could die or get caught! Or even worse!"

"Wait, but maybe that's the best part!" Tricity exclaimed and stood up from the bench. "Okay, let's be real, what do people think when they look at us?"

"Uh, not nice stuff? Like the "B" word?" Poppy pointed out, but Tricity smiled again, "But that's perfect! To everyone else, we're just normal girls who dress odd and often spend a lot of time doing whatever, in fact, that's all they think we do! But when the covers and the blinds are pulled, nobody will suspect us!"

"Ooh, and we could be helping a lot of people, not just bank robbers, we could take down a lot of criminals, imagine how many people will be happy when we clean up the streets!" Poppy beamed, "We have to do this."

"Uh, I don't know guys..." Sana mumbled, "I, I mean, your ideas are really good and all, but what if we get in trouble? That hero stuff can get messy really quickly. Besides, if anyone else finds out about this? We're so doomed."

"Sana does have a point. We won't know what damage this could do on to us and on to others. It might be risky." Frostina bit her lip, Andromeda pinched the bridge of her nose and sighed. "Yeah, fair point."

"True but come on. We have these great powers, if we don't do something with them and we just let all of this bad stuff happened to the city, we're practically evil." Poppy's eyes soften a bit.

Frostina, Andromeda and Sana looked at each other while Kandi, Tricity and Poppy made big puppy eyes, Sana sighed. "Uh, well fine... as long as we're super careful! We need to be sneaky."

"Yes, that's our best bet." Frostina placed her hands in front of her as Andromeda nod her a bit. "Yeah."

"YAY!" Tricity exclaimed, "This is gonna be so cool! Okay, so obviously," The girls began to walk together, "We should go after those bank robber guys, they'd been messing up this town for long enough, we track where they'll strike next and BOOM! Caught them like rats in a trap!"

"Yeah, good idea, maybe we should meet up during nighttime and talk to the spirts."

"Yeah! Here's the plan," Kandi grinned and lowered her voice, "We should ask our spirt pals if they have like any cool forms for us to take, and if they do, we should meet up on the rooftop and come up with a plan to take those crooks down."

"So, your plan is to meet up and then come up with an actual plan?" Andromeda asked, Kandi paused for a moment before she smiled to herself. "Yeah, pretty much."

"Oh god..." Sana took a deep breath, "W-well, at least we're not diving in headfirst, so that's really good."

"Yeah, we'll be fine." Poppy smiled and patted Sana while Tricity squealed. "Okay, but we need like a team name! Wait, no! After our win, we'll come up with one! Now that would be super awesome!"

"Mm, we'll come up with an idea soon. But for now, let's head out." Frostina stated.

Everyone nods their head as they all kept on walking, with plans inside of their heads and cute shoes that help them step into a brand-new role.
