Chapter 7 : Luna tribe

Chapter 7 is here~ I do not own this.... JK ~ I own this hehe~ anyway let's have the chapter start~

Kurai POV

I winced from pain, however I forced myself to back away from the glowing duel coloured orbs. I did not want to be captured by him and ruin Hikari's and Yuki's attempts in saving me.

I turned away from the orbs and went to run away, fear overriding the pain that was resonating throughout my body. I had to bite my lip slightly to prevent myself from whimpering from the pain. I knew that if I was quiet I might get Asura off my trail.

But then how will Hikari or Yuki find me?

I gasped when I felt a hand grip my wrist, I whirled around quickly in fear. I couldn't see who it was as I was dragged through the smokescreen. I began to struggle, fearing that Asura was the one who had taken hold of me.

"Idiot! Just hold still!"

I ceased struggling when I heard the voice of my captor, relief rushed into me, it was Hikari. I was so glad that my snowy haired friend had found me, I had no idea what I was going to do before.

But where did Asura go to? I actually lost him? Anyway... How did Hikari do that before with the iron bar? I thought he had been immobilized.

I allowed my snowy haired friend to lead me, I trusted that he knew where he was going.

"Hikari I'm... I'm so glad that you're okay.."

I whispered softly but loud enough for the older teen to hear me, I felt the grip on my wrist tighten slightly, not enough to be uncomfortable however. I was glad beyond words that Hikari was okay, though the scrap on his arm caught my eye. It didn't worry me, I guessed that it was Yuki's doing, though I was curious about it.

"Keep your voice down Kurai.... We don't need that crazy man to find where we are"

Hikari whispered as he pulled me up a ledge, I was technically blind from the smoke so I had no idea what, or where we were going. I didn't care that I couldn't see right now, just being lead by Hikari made me feel safe enough though the thought was strange, it was how I felt.

Okay Hikari... I'm just so happy right now..

I gasped when sunlight assaulted my eyes suddenly, I instantly closed them on contact so that I wouldn't be blinded. I heard Hikari snicker slightly as he continued to tug me forward.

"Ah Hikari, Kurai! Glad you made it out, we've got to get away from here quickly"

I heard Yuki call from somewhere, I was glad that the scarlet haired girl had also escaped from Asura. I opened my eyes and hissed slightly at the light, however I just kept them open to allow my eyes to adjust to the brightness.

"Yeah we did, what the hell was with all that smoke Yuki!"

Hikari growled as we all ran into the forest nearby, Yuki's icy eyes flickered brightly as she took a look at me and Hikari, a small smile crept her face.

Why would she smile? I don't understand... Well I'm also curious about why she used that terrible smoke for us to escape.

"I used the smoke because even people who are strong but can't see have to be cautious. I'm good at locating what I can't see and I figured that Hikari would locate you by the scent of your blood."

I nodded in understanding while I heard Hikari hiss slightly, the snowy haired boy didn't seem too pleased with Yuki's response at all. His crimson eyes were swirling with discontent.

".... What if I couldn't?!? Then Kurai would have been a sitting duck for that psyco!"

The snowy haired vampire yelled, anger tinting his voice. Yuki just rolled her icy eyes and smiled, her eyes were sparkling creepily and she had a strange smirk. It sent icy shivers down my spine.

"Aww don't worry, I just knew that the heroic seme would do anything to help his little precious uke. Kurai would have been perfectly fine because you were the one looking for him. Hmm it also seems you two have gotten closer.."

The scarlet haired girl pointed towards my left hand, I looked down and saw that Hikari had been holding my hand. The snowy haired boy's face turned a faint shade of pink as he released my hand. I felt a little upset at the loss of the warmth.

What's wrong Hikari?... Are you still in pain?...

"Idiot.... Anyway did you notice the colour of that man's blood?..."

I felt the atmosphere around my two friends suddenly turn serious, I felt slightly uncomfortable with this new atmosphere that confused me.

Is something wrong with black blood?... I know it's not normal, wouldn't it just mean that he's just not human like Hikari? Though... He has red blood.

"Yes... Though I had been hoping that I was only imagining things..."

Yuki said softly, her icy eyes were a mixture of confusion and unease. I looked over to Hikari and he also seemed unsettled by Asura's blood colour.

"Asura has black blood, is that bad?"

I asked my two friends, I didn't want to be left out from whatever they were thinking about. If they knew, I also wanted to know so that they wouldn't tease me as often.

"Yes it's actually extremely bad Kurai... Black blooded beings were supposed to have gone extinct over a millennia ago..."

Yuki sighed tiredly as she stopped running then sat down, I had no complaints about resting. I was exhausted and I was sure that Hikari was too.

"Extinct?... So he's supposed to be dead"

I sat down and Hikari also sat, the three of us were exhausted, so the small rest would be doing us some good.

How can a person who's not supposed to be exist still be alive? Doesn't that go against what Yuki had said about them being extinct?

"That's the problem, I read about them in a book. They have extremely powerful magic capability, also they would also use live sacrifices for their rituals to gain more power... That's all I know but I'm sure there's more about them.."

Hikari explained, I felt very uneasy with his words. I didn't know what sacrifice meant but by the way Yuki and Hikari were acting, I could tell that it wasn't good.

He was after me... Was he trying to use me as a sacrifice?...

"Hikari your knowledge is more or less correct, the black blooded beings are from the Luna tribe, they grow more powerful the fuller the moon is.... We were extremely lucky today... That man, or as you call Asura let us escape.."

I looked over towards the scarlet haired girl in shock, Asura had seemed like he seriously wanted to kill us, I just couldn't believe it.

Why?.... If he could have killed us, then why didn't he?

"Why did he let us go then?..."

I asked, worried that Asura could suddenly appear in front of us at any second and kill us all. It was also scary that I had been targeted specifically, but I was a little glad that Hikari wasn't the one being targeted by him.

"We don't know Kurai... But what I'm confused about, is why you were targeted specifically..."

Hikari sighed, he seemed to look more pale than usual. I then noticed that the glowing paper scrap on his arm had dimmed down significantly so that it was only faintly glowing. The sudden tiredness of The snowy haired boy worried me.

He seemed to be fine a while ago... Why does he seem to be getting more tired all of a sudden....?

I looked over towards the snowy haired teen with concern.

"Hikari, are you okay? You don't seem to be doing well..."

Hikari nodded and smiled slightly towards me, it was off because he usually only smiled while teasing me or when something really funny happened.

I felt a light hand on my shoulder, I looked over to see Yuki smiling at me kindly, icy eyes bright.

"Don't worry Kurai, the talisman I placed on his arm is losing its power. Your seme just needs to rest, his fatigue is catching up to him"

I smiled towards the scarlet haired teen, then looked over towards Hikari, no longer worried about him but glad instead, glad that the talisman had helped him.

"So Yuki,do you have even the slightest idea as to why Kurai had been selected?"

Hikari asked, his voice was quieter than usual, it made me a little sad to see the usually hot headed vampire so drained. I leaned over so that I was leaning on the snowy haired teen. I was glad when he didn't throw me off.

I want to be close to Hikari, though I don't know why... I just do, he makes me feel so safe when I'm with him.

Yuki looked towards me and Hikari, her icy eyes not so bright as they were before. I slight frown was played across her face.

"Well the Luna tribe like to take youths of innocence... Maybe since Kurai lost his memories and is now oblivious to a lot of things, Asura sees him as the perfect sacrifice. However if that's true, he would have had no reason to allow us to escape..."

I yawned, I was starting to not care about Asura or any of those confusing things, I was tired. We were all safe for now, and I just wanted to allow my friends and myself some rest.

They are probably more tired than me, they did everything... I was basically useless.. Maybe one day I could have Yuki teach me some talisman spells so I can help them..

"Oh looks like your little seme has fallen asleep, why don't you also take a nap Kurai"

Yuki's icy eyes were filled with kindness as she ruffled my hair, I nodded and nuzzled into the snowy haired teen who I had already been leaning on. I felt safety blanket me as I drifted off to sleep.

Hikari POV

Kurai! Damn where are you?!?... I need to get you somewhere safe.. That man is close by... He's more dangerous than I had initially thought..

I could barely see so I knew that my coal haired, friend, would probably be unable to move from his spot out of fear. I felt unease take hold of me and repeatedly strike me with a sharp pang, Kurai could be killed so easily by that violet haired man, that idea along was terrifying.

Kurai... I wouldn't be able to bare seeing you get hurt anymore.... I don't know why but your pain hurts me.. Wait... He's bleeding, I could use his blood scent to track him down!

I began to sniff the air, I ignored the smoke that assaulted my nose, the smell of my own blood thickly masked almost everything. It also didn't help that the violet haired man's blood also contributed to masking Kurai's faint blood scent.

To be honest the thickness of all the blood was making me feel slightly dizzy by how intense it was, normally the scent filled me with energy but too much of something too sweet is never good.

Come on... Where are you.....

I felt as if my heart had skipped a beat when I caught a whiff of the coal haired boy's blood, I quickly yet quietly headed in the direction of its source. I was eager to once again see Kurai, to take the younger boy to safety.

Kurai!

I was so glad when I spotted the smaller boy, I grabbed his wrist and began to pull him along. It seemed that I had guessed right in him not being able to see because he had been stumbling around. However when I did grab his wrist the boy gasped in fear and tried to get away from me.

Gah stop being troublesome Kurai! We have no time for messing around!

"Idiot! Just hold still!"

I hissed with annoyance, to my relief Kurai had stopped struggling and allowed me to easily lead him through the dreaded smokescreen.

I'm glad I reached you before that man did... Who knows what he would have done to you... That black blood, hopefully I was just seeing things...

I felt tiredness attack me however I ignored it, I didn't care about that. As long as I had Yuki's talisman I knew that I wouldn't collapse, at the least I would be on the edge of collapsing before its powers faded away.

"Hikari I'm... I'm so glad that you're okay.."

I heard Kurai whisper softly, I tightened my grip on the boy's wrist, not wanting him to by some chance get separated from me, I was glad that the coal haired boy couldn't see well, the slight shade of pink that I felt creep upon my face was indeed unseen by him. His words strangely made me feel so happy.

I'm also glad you're okay Kurai..

"Keep your voice down Kurai.... We don't need that crazy man to find where we are"

I whispered towards the coal haired boy as I hopped up a ledge then pulled him up after me. Thankful that he was so easy to lift.

.... It seems the sun had risen fully while we were occupied...

I heard Kurai gasp at the sudden light, I snickered slightly before I continued to pull Kurai away from the crumbling building that we had been in for far too long.

"Ah Hikari, Kurai! Glad you made it out, we've got to get away from here quickly"

I looked over to see that the scarlet haired mischief maker had appeared and was now running beside us.

.... What's with you and your tricks..

"Yeah we did, what the hell was with all that smoke Yuki!"

I growled as we ran into the nearby forest to hide in the undergrowth.

You better have a good explanation.. That stunt was just way too risky! So many things could have gone wrong especially with what that man was.

"I used the smoke because even people who are strong but can't see have to be cautious. I'm good at locating what I can't see and I figured that Hikari would locate you by the scent of your blood."

Kurai nodded in understanding while I hissed in annoyance, I couldn't believe Yuki had done something so foolish. I wanted to tear her apart but I couldn't, if it wasn't for her I would haven't been able to save Kurai. I felt a little thankful towards her grudgingly.

".... What if I couldn't?!? Then Kurai would have been a sitting duck for that psyco!"

I yelled towards the scarlet haired girl, she just rolled her icy eyes annoyingly and smiled at me creepily, eyes sparkling. Yuki really had a way to easily give me the creeps whenever she had that look on her face.

"Aww don't worry, I just knew that the heroic seme would do anything to help his little precious uke. Kurai would have been perfectly fine because you were the one looking for him. Hmm it also seems you two have gotten closer.."

Closer?...

I followed the scarlet haired girl's icy gaze and realized that I was still holding onto Kurai, even worse, somehow my hand had slipped from his wrist to his own hand. I blushed slightly and instantly released the coal haired boy's hand.

What the hells wrong with me?!? Getting so flustered... Kurai is a BOY... Why do I feel so weird then?... I'm so confused... Why does Kurai make me feel like this?..

"Idiot.... Anyway did you notice the colour of that man's blood?..."

I wanted to erase my embarrassment with talk about something serious, I felt uneasy when the scarlet haired girl didn't burst out laughing at my foolishness.

So I wasn't just seeing things.... That man actually did have black blood.... We're so lucky that none of us died..

"Yes... Though I had been hoping that I was only imagining things..."

Yuki said softly, her icy eyes were a mixture of confusion and unease, I couldn't help but also feel confused as to why we had met a black blooded being.

"Asura has black blood, is that bad?"

Kurai asked softly, I wished that I was as oblivious on the matter as the coal haired boy was, the news of Asura greatly disturbed me.

The black blooded being is named Asura... Why is he even alive?...

"Yes it's actually extremely bad Kurai... Black blooded beings were supposed to have gone extinct over a millennia ago..."

The scarlet haired girl sighed tiredly, she had stopped running and sat on the ground. I figured that we had come far enough, plus I felt close to my limit.

"Extinct?... So he's supposed to be dead"

Kurai asked innocently as we both sat down to join the exorcist, it felt strange hanging out with one of the vampires worst enemies.

Asura why the hell does he exist?... And why do we of all people get to meet him in this strange world? None of this makes sense...

"That's the problem, I read about them in a book. They have extremely powerful magic capability, also they would also use live sacrifices for their rituals to gain more power... That's all I know but I'm sure there's more about them.."

I explained to the smaller boy, it worried me that Kurai might have ended up as a sacrifice.

Kurai.... I hope you'll never have to meet Asura ever again... I don't want you to be sacrificed..

"Hikari your knowledge is more or less correct, the black blooded beings are from the Luna tribe, they grow more powerful the fuller the moon is.... We were extremely lucky today... That man, or as you call Asura let us escape.."

Full moon... Last night was a full moon..

The news shocked me, I hadn't expected that we were just allowed to go. Asura had caused us so much damage without even intending to kill us.

Why let us go? What sick plans is that creep planning for us?... Was he just messing with us?...

"Why did he let us go then?..."

Kurai asked the question that I was also wondering about, it scared me that we had been so close to deaths partner yet we hadn't noticed fully until it was too late.

Kurai could have been killed way before me and Yuki arrived... It had been a fair amount if time... I'm not complaining about why he's alive, however it's confusing as to why he was aloud to live..

"We don't know Kurai... But what I'm confused about, is why you were targeted specifically..."

I sighed, I felt extremely tired now, I noticed that the talisman I had received from Yuki was slowly losing its soft blue glow. I could tell that it was going to wear out any minuet from now.

Having an exorcist sure can be useful... Even if she's often an annoying nuisance...

Kurai looked over at me, concern was swirling within his vibrant sea green pools.

"Hikari, are you okay? You don't seem to be doing well..."

I nodded and smiled slightly towards the coal haired boy, I didn't have the energy to brush him off. I didn't want to fall asleep, not just yep anyway.

I saw Yuki place her hand on the younger boy's shoulder, a warm smile was on her face and her icy eyes were bright.

"Don't worry Kurai, the talisman I placed on his arm is losing its power. Your seme just needs to rest, his fatigue is catching up to him"

Kurai smiled towards the scarlet haired teen, then looked over towards me, I loved how he looked so innocent even after everything he had witnessed..

"So Yuki,do you have even the slightest idea as to why Kurai had been selected?"

I asked, I felt extremely light headed but had to force myself to stay awake as long as I could. I felt Kurai lean against me, it made me happy, I didn't know why but it did so I didn't throw him away.

I hate you Kurai... Making me feel such strange emotions that I don't understand... Yet... I also don't hate you..

"Well the Luna tribe like to take youths of innocence... Maybe since Kurai lost his memories and is now oblivious to a lot of things, Asura sees him as the perfect sacrifice. However if that's true, he would have had no reason to allow us to escape..."

Ah so that's why...

I felt my eyelids getting heavy, no longer with the strength to stay awake, I allowed myself to drift off into the dreamworld. I felt a comforting warmth by may side as I slept.

Me: so that's the end of the story....
