Kurai POV
I was numb, I felt terrible that I had ignored Hikari but anything would have been better than to have my snowy haired friend die.
I'm sorry Hikari... I don't have much of a future.. However you do, I don't want you to lose yours because of me...
"Such a sweet boy, so obedient and loyal to his friend..."
Asura purred as his duel coloured eyes began to glow once again, he looked towards Hikari and snapped his fingers once towards him. I watched in awe as small little strands of crimson light streaks began to circle around the injured teen.
I felt unease prickle into my consciousness as I watched the crimson tendrils coiled around Hikari, afraid that at any moment, they would lash out at the snowy haired teen.
What are they doing to him....? I thought Asura said that he'll leave Hikari alone...
I couldn't speak, I looked into Hikari's glazed eyes as they closed slowly, I felt a pang in my heart, betrayal and sorrow. The violet haired man had promised me that Hikari wouldn't die, yet Hikari looked basically dead to me.
Hikari.... Why... He said that you wouldn't die....
"Don't worry my dear Kurai, I never break my promises. Your friend is very much alive, his injuries are being healed, however the blood he lost.. I am unable to replenish. It's a good thing he's a vampire that can heal easily."
Asura soothed as he turned my head away from Hikari and forced me to look into those duel coloured eyes of his, the amber eye sent chills down my spine, yet the sea green one sent waves of calmness into me. The two emotions at once felt so strange and confusing, even if I tried, I wouldn't have been able to describe it.
He was right.... Hikari does heal quite quickly... But that doesn't mean he can't or won't die... He can only heal so fast.... And why does my head feel a little more clear even though Asura is touching me? I thought he messed with my mind somehow..
"Now Kurai let's leave that filthy influence of a vampire shall we? Let's go to my special place... You'll love it, it'll make you feel like an entirely different person..."
Asura gleamed as his left hand wrapped around my wrist tightly, almost enough to cut off its circulation. I felt panic rise within me, I didn't want to leave Hikari alone, he was weakened from blood loss and also because it was daytime.
No don't take me away from him... I don't want to leave Hikari, I want to stay with him!
"Hold on ya long haired sissy!"
A female voice called out, I recognized that voice, it doused my fears quickly as I recognized that Yuki was the one to yell out.
Asura hissed softly at the arrival of the scarlet haired girl, her icy blue eyes were blazing with determination and something else. Yuki hopped into the building nonchalantly and glared with her icy gaze towards Asura, he masked his annoyance with an sweet smile.
"What do I owe the pleasure to meeting such an beautiful lady?"
I can't believe it....
Asura smirked slightly as his grip on my wrist tightened, his nails were starting to dig into my skin, Yuki scowled at him with distaste.
"I'm here to pick up a half dead seme and a uke that's in danger, you if you'd please, don't mind me."
Yuki... You also came.... Why didn't you come in sooner to stop Hikari from getting hurt?..
Icy eyes narrowed, Yuki pulled out some of her scraps of paper, however they were different than the ones that I had seen her use in Hikari. The ones that the scarlet haired girl was now holding were a silvery colour that gleamed in the light.
"I'm sorry to say this miss, but Kurai is now my property, so take the vampire and I'd appreciate it if you were to allow me to take him."
Asura's duel coloured eyes were flickering dangerously towards Yuki, however she didn't seemed fazed in the slightest. I knew that at any moment, their conversation could turn into a fight, a dangerous one at that.
Yuki... Be careful... Please save Hikari... And myself after he's perfectly safe..
"Sorry no can do, I won't allow you to take away Kurai from Hikari. I am very much curious about them"
The scarlet haired girl called, before she whispered into the silver paper scraps, the scraps began to glow vibrantly almost blinding if I were to look directly at it.
"An exorcist... How interesting... Have you fallen so far as to hang out with a vampire?"
Asura mocked, his voice was tinted with unmasked amusement, the scarlet haired girl frowned before she leaped towards Asura.
No that won't work! Hikari tried that already... Asura's too fast...
Asura tossed me into the hard stone wall as he moved to the side to dodge, I yelped in pain at the impact, now able to move. However, I was plagued with a searing jolt of pain when I tried to get up, so even though I could technically move again, I actually wasn't able to.
Yuki smirked and swiftly placed the silver glowing paper on the violet haired man before hopping away. Her movements were almost too fast for my eyes to be able to see.
"Divine jolt!"
Yuki called and the silver scrap began to send white lightning streaks into Asura, who in return staggered back slightly panting.
"Is that all you've got girl? I thought exorcists were trained better than that.."
Yuki....
I feared that my scarlet haired friend was going to turn out like Hikari had.
Asura winced as he tugged the paper scrap off of him and threw it away, I looked over towards Yuki. The scarlet haired girl didn't seem shocked in the slightest.
"No... It's not... Anyway I may not me physically strong, however to make up for that I'm agile and spiritually strong. Plus, you failed to notice my real objective"
Real objective? What does she mean by that?...
"Wha-"
Asura's talking was cut of by the cry of pain that flowed out of his mouth, my eyes widened and I felt like my heart was going to burst from happiness. Hikari was standing behind the violet haired man, a piece of a broken steel bar was in his hands, puncturing Asura through the stomachs. My snowy haired friend's head was lowered and he was panting heavily, one of Yuki's paper scraps was attached to his left arm and glowing a soft blue.
Hikari.... You're okay... I'm.. So glad, I was so worried about you...
"Boy... I thought I had immobilized you.."
Asura coughed as blood began to drip from the corner of his mouth and stomach. The colour of his blood was a deathly black colour, I noticed that Yuki's icy eyes went wide and that she stiffened at the sight of the blood.
"Nah, I just needed a little rest"
Hikari looked up towards Asura, crimson eyes sparking with defiance. It made me feel a little safer knowing that my snowy haired friend was okay.
"Hikari, we're leaving..."
Yuki called towards him, he looked over and gave the scarlet haired girl a look of confusion. I was also confused, Yuki didn't seem to be having any problem going up against Asura. I glanced warily towards the violet haired man, worried that he might somehow lash out at any second.
"Why?... I'm sure that if we work togeth-"
Yuki cut off Hikari as she threw ten paper scraps into the air, they disintegrated, filling the room with smoke. I coughed at the thickness of the air, it was slightly hard to breath.
Why did Yuki do that... I can't see a thing, how can I escape?
Glowing duel coloured eyes were coming my way, I backed away fearfully, knowing who those orbs belonged to.
Hikari POV
It hurt, not my body that I had already lost feeling in, my heart was what hurt. I couldn't stand the idea of Kurai being manipulated by that crazy violet haired man.
Kurai won't be safe around him... Who knows what he'll do to to Kurai... Kurai, he's so innocent that he could end up doing something terrible without even realizing it... I've got to somehow protect Kurai.
"Such a sweet boy, so obedient and loyal to his friend..."
I could no longer easily locate where Kurai and the violet haired man were, or distinguish between the voice, however by the words being spoken, I knew for sure that it was not Kurai speaking. I could only see a few feet in front of me.
I felt fear grip me as strange crimson coloured light streaks began to surround me, the numbness within faded and was replaced with pain. I wasn't sure if I was glad that the numbness had left me.
What's happening to me? What are theses strange things....? Why is my pain melting away?...
I could feel the gash in my chest beginning to close, it was strange. I was being healed faster than my vampiric powers would usually allow me to.
I still felt light headed, even with the slow healing of my injuries. I tried to move however my body wouldn't listen to my orders. I could only hope that Kurai would be okay, I closed my eyes weakly, just to let my wounds heal before I rescue Kurai.
"Hikari..."
I recognized the voice, it was Yuki, I looked over towards the scarlet colour in front of me, I couldn't see her very well.
The hell Yuki... You should have came sooner.. What took you so long?
I heard her whisper something that I couldn't quite hear properly, there was a flash of blue and my vision suddenly cleared perfectly. I looked over to the scarlet haired girl with surprise. She smiled with unease as she secured a scrap of paper onto my arm, it was glowing a soft light blue and I felt as if it was filling me with energy.
"How?"
My voice cracked slightly as I spoke, Yuki looked at me seriously with her intense icy gaze. Her mischievous spark in her eye wasn't present like it usually was.
So even she can act serious... I never would have guessed, maybe it because I was basically dead not too long ago..
"Hikari listen to me, this talisman will refill you're strength... However this will NOT heal you... It's only temporary.."
Talisman? So that's what those pieces of paper are called?
"Then what's the use for it?..."
I sat up slightly, the talisman seemed to be doing its job well, however I still felt tired but I was thankful that I could now move.
Yuki smiled with her usual mischievous look, I had just known that the scarlet haired girl wouldn't be able to be serious for long.
"I'll distract that man... As you've noticed before, he's not normal. Then when he's distracted and when you see an perfect opening strike him, until then I'll buy time for you to recover your energy."
I nodded, the plan actually seemed quite decent, I didn't want to wait but I knew that things would only end up worse if I didn't. I wanted to quickly help Kurai.
Kurai, you'll be safely by my side soon, just wait okay...
"Now Kurai let's leave that filthy influence of a vampire shall we? Let's go to my special place... You'll love it, it'll make you feel like an entirely different person..."
I wanted to tear the violet haired man apart from the way that he, was grabbing Kurai's wrist. I could see them, yet I was conveniently out of sight from them.
Kurai... That man better not harm you anymore.... I hate seeing the strong pick on the weak...
"Hold on ya long haired sissy!"
I smiled when I saw that Yuki had exited the building and was now standing in the entrench that I had made. The scarlet haired girls choice if words would have been slightly amusing to me if Kurai wasn't in danger.
I watched as Yuki nonchalantly hopped into the building as if she owned the place, I couldn't read their expressions at the moment, I was too far away.
"What do I owe the pleasure to meeting such an beautiful lady?"
Beautiful? Sure she's not ugly but I wouldn't say that she's attractive...
I moved just close enough to be able to read their facial expressions, Yuki had a unhappy scowl across her face in disgust.
"I'm here to pick up a half dead seme and a uke that's in danger, you if you'd please, don't mind me."
I'm not half dead right now, thanks to those crimson light tendrils. However I still wouldn't be able to move if it wasn't for Yuki's talismans, but only me and Yuki know that...
The scarlet haired girl narrowed her icy eyes towards the violet haired man, while she pulled out silvery tinted talismans that glimmered in the light.
"I'm sorry to say this miss, but Kurai is now my property, so take the vampire and I'd appreciate it if you were to allow me to take him."
Kurai will never be your property... He belongs to nobody, he's his own person.. Don't you dare try to claim my Kurai!
Wait what?! I must be thinking strange from blood loss..
The duel coloured eyes glared towards icy eyes that returned the glare just as fiercely as it was sent. It seemed like an opening with the violet haired man distracted, however I didn't want to take a risk that wouldn't just affect me.
I've got to be patient... I can't mess up and ruin our chances...
The violet haired man mocked with open amusement that made my skin crawl. Yuki frowned slightly before she leaped towards him.
Yuki you idiot! I already tried that! He's too fast for you...
I gasped as Kurai was harshly tossed into one of the cracked, stone walls. Kurai's cry of pain hurt so much to hear. Kurai was to innocent to have to feel such pain.
You little! How can you harm someone like Kurai so easily?!? He's so sweet and kind! He doesn't deserve to be harmed by the likes of you!
Yuki smirked as she placed the silvery talisman on the violet haired man, before she hopped away to make some distance between them. She was faster than I had ever expected her to be, faster than me, and most importantly, faster than him.
"Divine jolt!"
The scarlet haired girl called, white lightning streaks were emitted from the talisman into the violet haired man. I felt thankful that she hand used it on me when we had first met. From the looks of how he staggered back and began to pant, I could tell that it was effective.
"Is that all you've got girl? I thought exorcists were trained better than that.."
The hell? He still has strength left?..
The violet haired man winced as he tore the talisman off of him and tossed it away like trash.
"No... It's not... Anyway I may not me physically strong, however to make up for that I'm agile and spiritually strong. Plus, you failed to notice my real objective"
Ah that's my cue!
"Wha-"
I leaped swiftly towards the violet haired man from behind, cutting of his sentence by impaling him in the stomach with a rusted metal bar that I had picked up, the cry of pain was like music to my ears. The sudden movement drained my energy considerably, I couldn't stop myself from panting in exhaustion.
Serves you right... Harming Kurai... Unacceptable.
"Boy... I thought I had immobilized you.."
It was satisfying seeing the man who had harmed Kurai coughing up blood, however the fact that his blood was black worried me, it was darker than the night sky or anything that I had ever seen. It just spelled danger.
"Nah, I just needed a little rest"
I looked up towards the violet haired man, set on wiping him out of existence. I absolutely hated that man more than anything else.
"Hikari, we're leaving..."
Yuki called, I looked at her confused. It seemed like an ideal time to rid ourselves of that terrible man, yet here she was telling me to retreat.
"Why?... I'm sure that if we work togeth-"
I was cut off by my own coughing, Yuki had thrown up some talismans that disintegrated into the air, replacing it with a smokescreen.
The hell... I can't locate Kurai through all this damn smoke! Yuki what were you thinking?!
Me: another chapter finished... I feel half dead...
Kurai: why?
Me: long chappy written in a day... Gah....
Hikari: too bad! Kurai needs to b saved !
Yuki: and I want to see how the uke and seme get closer~
Kurai: uke? Seme?
Hikari: for once I'm as confused as Kurai....
Yuki: hehe I'm never going to tell you guys the meaning~ I don't want to ruin anything hehe
Hikari: you little! You can't keep calling us that when we don't know what it is!
Kurai: I agree...
Yuki: to bad boys~
Me: hehe hope ya enjoyed the chapter...
