Hehe chapter 5 is here~ the fan art above is of Kurai Mirai~ awesomely made by AmaterasuSensei~ it's so awesome!!!! Anyway let the chapter start..

Kurai POV

My head was all foggy when I regained consciousness, I looked around slowly, everything was strange. I didn't recognize a thing, I had been outside with Hikari and somehow ended up here.

Where is this place?.... Hikari? Yuki? Where are they... Where am I? How did I even get here?..

I was in a small room with rusted iron bars on one side if the wall, the floor was a type of stone, all cracked from old age and rough to the touch. The rest of the walls were the same cracked, mossy material as the floor, the strange cell like room was dimly lit so that it took a while for my eyes to adjust.

"Greetings..."

I whipped my head over to the source of the unknown voice, I noticed that on the other side of the rusted bars was a deep violet haired man, his hair length went all the way down to his waist. His eyes seemed to draw me in, the left eye was a sea green eye, while the right eye was a deep amber colour. The sight of the man sent icy chills down my spine

Why does this guy give me a strange feeling?.... I don't feel safe around him yet... At the same time... He seems familiar.... Hikari.. Yuki, where are you guys?

The violet haired man's voice was silky and smooth, he smiled kindly towards me as he extended his left hand through the cracks in the iron bars. What caught my attention however was the crescent moon pattern on his palm, they it was glowing a deep crimson.

I went to move away from him but he grasped my arm with his right hand swiftly, his grip was firm and send fear into me.

I do not like this guy... He gives me opposite feeling that Hikari does.. I've got to get away from him..

"Now now Kurai, It's been so long yet you try to get away from me on sight? Isn't that a little rude?"

His kind smile didn't fool me, his duel coloured eyes were flickering dangerously. It scared me.

"Who are you?..."

I whispered softly, I felt like my energy was being sapped. I tried to move my arm yet it didn't respond , I wanted to recoil back as he raised his left hand and placed the of it on my forehead.
I instantly felt dizzy and tired at his touch, I looked over towards the man, my vision slightly glazed.

What's.... Happening to me....?

"My dear Kurai, you don't need to play dumb with me. That won't allow you to escape silly boy"

The man ran the fingers of his right hand over my cheek as he looked at me fondly, all my instincts were screaming for me to run, yet I couldn't move from the spot. I felt almost as helpless as I was before I met Hikari.

I don't understand....

"I'm telling the truth... I don't... Remember anything..."

I was really starting to feel weird now, the violet haired man's voice sounded almost hypnotic, I felt as if I was in a trance like state. Shock flickered across his duel coloured eyes and he backed away slightly, I regained my ability to move once his hands left me and my mind began to clear so that it was no longer hazy.

"My dear Kurai... Do you truly not remember me?...."

The silky voice felt recognizable, like I was supposed to know, yet I didn't. I shook me head, I narrowed my eyes as I tried to remember. However as soon as I attempted, a jolt of pain gripped me for a second causing me to flinch.

How does this strange man know me?... He seems too dangerous... If only Hikari or Yuki were here... With his strength and her spells, there would be an easy escape.

The violet haired man massaged his temples with a sigh, he then looked at me, duel coloured eyes filled with sadness.

"I see.... This may make things a little more complicated Kurai..."

Things seemed already too complicated...

The violet haired man bowed slightly and smiled up at me sweetly, sending icy shivers down my spine.

"My name is Asura"

That name...... I don't know....

I winced when Asura griped my chin with his fingers and examined my face, sea green and amber eyes glinting with amusement. I did not like the look in his eyes, I felt so vulnerable.

"I... Don't know an Asura"

I whispered quietly, half to myself. I noticed faint fury flicker within his duel coloured eyes before it was masked.

Hikari wherever you are... Please help me... Asura doesn't seem safe to be around..

I more than anything wished that Hikari was here, my snowy haired friend always knew what to do.
Asure gripped my shoulders rather tightly causing me to wince at his grip, his face was brought close to mine, I gazed into his now glowing eyes, my vision was starting to blur, I was losing the feeling in my body, I couldn't look away from those eyes of his. It was if they were drawing me into them.

"Kurai... You've got to remember me right? Everything will be messed up if you don't, come on child, you will remember me right now!"

Asura sounded as if he was half laughing as he shook me by the shoulders, messing up my already blurred vision significantly. The only thing that I could see creaky were his eyes, now with a half crazed expression.

I can't.... Whenever I try to remember I get a sharp pain in my mind.... It's not like I haven't tried before... However I wouldn't want to remember someone as scary as you...

"Now come on Kurai, you couldn't have possible have forgotten me of all things right?... RIGHT?!"

I cried out when I felt a sharp stinging pain in my cheek, I could feel something cold and wet dripping down. Asura had let go of me and my vision became to steady once again.

Why does my vision get messed up when he takes hold of me?.... Is he not a normal person?

I hopped out of the way when Asura swung a small blade made of dark glowing energy at me, I guessed that was what had cut me in the first place.

What is he?!? How can he do something like that?!

"Aww come back my dear little Kurai, I just need to take a look inside of you to see what's wrong"

Asura laughed, his head cocked to the left and he had a huge grin on his face as he advanced towards me with that energy beam knife thing. I backed up towards one of the old crumbled walls, I looked around frantically and I could see no exit.

I can't die here... I haven't helped Hikari get back home yet... I had promised to help him.... Hikari...

I looked at Asura fearfully as he held the energy beam knife above his head, heady to strike me down, I closed my eyes and braced myself for the pain that would soon be inflicted upon me.

"KURAI!!!!"

I heard a familiar voice cry out before the wall behind me crumbled down, I couldn't believe that Hikari was now standing beside me, he swiftly planted a spin kick on Asura's stomach, sending the violet haired man flying backwards.

"Hikari.... You... You came..."

I was happy beyond words, I had to wipe my eyes free of the warm tears that had begun to fall.

I'm so glad Hikari is here... I didn't expect him to come though I had hoped he would..

"Why wouldn't I come Kurai, I can't just leave my ditzy friend all alone"

Hikari smirked as he took my hand in his own and pulled me closer to him protectively, he glared crimson daggers towards Asura before looking at me worriedly.

"Did he hurt you badly...?"

Hikari asked as he ran his hand along the gash on my cheek, I shook my head and smiled at the snowy haired boy. Hikari was acting strangely, however I sort of liked how he had become a little kinder towards me.
"No Hikari I'm fine thanks to you"
The snowy haired teen nodded towards me then turned around to face Asura who was now getting up. I frowned slightly, I had hoped that Hikari's spin kick would have been enough to knock him down for the count.

"So you're the one who took Kurai away from me..."

Hikari smirked as he licked my blood off of his hand then licked his lips. The violet haired man just smiled sweetly towards my vampiric friend.

"Ah so you're the Hikari that stands by Kurai... Hmm I might just have to extinguish your light then"

Asura's duel coloured eyes gleamed as he brought back the energy knife, however this time it was more like a sword. I shrunk a bit and hid behind Hikari, wanting to get out of his way.

Hikari be careful... Asura isn't normal... He's got this bad vibe and power...

"Hmm no, I don't think so pops, I don't need you influencing Kurai in any bad ways!"

The snowy haired teen yelled as he leaped over towards Asura, instead of a spin kick, he ducked lower, dodging the energy blade by a hair and kicked at his feet. There was a bone shattering crack and Hikari gleamed, I looked over towards Asura and gasped. Asura raised his lowered head, a wicked grin spread across the man's face as he laughed crazily, energy blade raised to strike my snowy haired friend down.

"HIKARI NO!"

I tried to leap and push my vampiric friend out of the way but I was too slow, the energy blade was impaled into Hikari's chest. I covered my mouth when he let out a scream of intense pain.

No Hikari... This can't be... You're stronger than this... Get up... Please Hikari! You wanted to get home so badly.. If you die now you'll be stuck here forever..

Asura smiled cruelly as he left the blade impaled into Hikari as he walked over to me. I backed away, my vision blurred slightly by my hot tears that were streaming down my face.

"Now now Kurai... This wouldn't have happened if you just played by my own rules.. However there is a way to save you and your friend..."

The violet haired man's smile made me feel sick to my stomach, I didn't understand how somebody could enjoy such cruelty towards others.

Hikari can be saved?..... But how can I trust him...

"How can he be saved?..."

My voice wavered as I looked over towards my snowy haired friend, his once white shirt had rapidly turned a deep crimson and was continuing to get darker.

"Obey me... You will be by my side..."

I didn't understand why Asura wanted me, it made no sense at all, I looked over towards Hikari, I could see that he was breathing raggedly. He looked over towards me painfully, a trail of blood flowing from the corner of his mouth.

"No... Kurai just leave me.. I'll be fine... Escape from that crazy lunatic while you still can.."

Hikari gasped weakly, it hurt knowing that I had caused my snowy haired friend a lot of pain. I didn't want him to die.

I'm sorry Hikari... I wouldn't be able to stand it if you were killed because of me.... I don't want to go with Asura.. But I don't want you to die even more.. Forgive me Hikari, for wanting a good friend such as you to live..

"Fine.... Just don't let Hikari die..."

I closed my eyes, not wanting to see Hikari's pained expression or Asura's faint smile.

"Good boy Kurai... I'll fix you up after I send your precious Hikari away all patched up..."

Asura soothed as he placed his hand on my shoulder, my mind began to haze over at his touch once again, my ability to move was leeched away from me.

I'm sorry Hikari.... Please don't hate me... I couldn't stand it if that were to happen..

Hikari POV

I ran to the spot where Kurai had been left and looked around worriedly, I could see no traces of the coal haired boy walking away from here. No footprints, no moved leaves, nothing.

Where the hell did you go Kurai?!? You better not have gotten lost or be playing some kind of trick on me... Kurai...

"Hey Hikari, calm down would you."

Yuki yawned as she walked over to me calmly, I couldn't believe how calm she was, Kurai had gone missing. An airhead who knew basically nothing, all alone or worse.

I glared at the scarlet haired girl, then continued to look around, hoping that I'd somehow find any traces of the sea green eyes boy. I was suddenly grabbed my the cuff of my shirt and I fell to the ground. I angry looked up to see Yuki smiling down at me, amusement present in her icy eyes.

Yuki you little! Stop bugging me I need to find Kurai!

"Hmm seems you're more protective of you're uke than I thought... Anyway I know where he is"

I looked up at the scarlet haired girl in amazement, she had acted so calm because she knew. The fact that she didn't tell me right away annoyed me.

You should have mentioned that in the first place..

"What..? How?"

I was curious as to how the scarlet haired girl knew the location of Kurai so easily. She smiled at me smugly and held out a piece of paper, I narrowed my eyes at it, remembering being set on fire.

"I put tracking spells on the both of you, that's why I said that you guys wouldn't be able to escape me"

I glared towards the exorcist, slightly cursing that her annoying spells, magic or whatever she calls it was so damn useful.

I guess I'm going to have to play nice with her until I can meet up with Kurai again... I hope he's alright.

"So where is he?"

Yuki frowned as she looked at the pieces of paper, if I didn't know that the paper was special, I would have thought that she had a few screws loose.

"It's strange.... He's a few miles away ... He couldn't have gotten there normally.. Something must have happened..."

Yuki's voice was laced with confusion, I also didn't understand how Kurai couldn't have gotten so far away from us in only a few minutes.

Was he taken?... If so then by who?... Whoever it was must have supernatural powers to get Kurai so far away so quickly.

"..... Lead me to where Kurai is.."

I murmured, I hated asking for help from someone, especially since she was an exorcist. The scarlet haired girl's icy eyes glimmered before she smiled sweetly towards me.

"Of course, I can't have the seme and uke separated for too long"

I ignored Yuki's strange babbling as she lead the way, I didn't understand her logic, I thought maybe it was a girl thing but quickly shook that idea out of my head.

It's just probably Yuki's craziness and obsession with strange words, like what the hell does uke, seme mean?! I'm too afraid to ask..

"Hmm you okay Hikari?"

Yuki asked after we had been walking for a while, we had entered a forest shortly after we started to head towards Kurai. I looked at the scarlet haired girl confused.

"Why wouldn't I be?"

It annoyed me how she would say the most random things out of nowhere, I ducked under a low hanging branch and smiled slightly.

Kurai probably would have walked into it and fell..

"Well the sun has long past risen, so I was guessing that you might be feeling a little drained, that's all"

I rolled my eyes at the comment, it didn't matter if I felt exhausted, all that mattered was hurrying over to Kurai, for some reason I felt as if he was in danger.

Hmm at least she's not as stupid as Kurai..

"I'll be fine, me and Kurai sometimes travel during the day anyway"

Yuki glanced at me with confusion sparking in her icy eyes.

"Kurai is okay with traveling mostly at night?"

I nodded, I knew that even if Kurai preferred the day he wouldn't say anything. He was the kind of person who stupidly thinks about others before himself.

"Yeah, he actually seems to prefer traveling at night, it's very convenient..."

Yuki was now walking backwards, easily avoiding the branches and anything that she could of run into. I felt a little envious at her perceptive skills, as much as I hated to admit it, she was strangely observant even when she didn't seem to be.

"Hmmm convenient in more ways than one, Kurai really looks great in the moonlight, it's very complimenting towards him"

Yuki smiled her mischievous smile. I looked to the ground, not wanting to look into her perceptive icy eyes.

"Really? I haven't noticed..."

So it's really not only me who thinks the moonlight makes Kurai look great..

"Hmm I think you have, you're uke is so adorable too! No wonder you seem to like him"

Yuki teased, icy eyes twinkling brightly, causing me to shiver in unease. I didn't like how the scarlet haired girl randomly got that creepy look in her eyes.

It's not like that...

"Yuki... It's not like that I just... When I see Kurai's innocent mistakes I just want to help him..."

I could feel my face going warm, maybe from the heat of the day. I was hoping that the scarlet haired girl's questions would fade away so that we could go back to walking in silence.

"I see..."

Yuki smiled strangely and turned around so that she wasn't walking backwards anymore.

Thank the gods that her annoying questions have stopped... However we've been walking for quite a while... Is Kurai still safe?...

"Yuki... How much longer do we have to walk?..."

"Hmm actually we've been circling the location for a while, I wanted to ask some stuff before we arrived.."

Yuki sighed, I froze and glared at the scarlet haired girl fiercely. She turned around and giggled slightly, icy eyes flickering with amusement.

"Pft... You actually believed me...."

I glared at the grinning scarlet haired girl in front of me, I was furious that she would pull that kind of joke when Kurai could be in danger, even as we were speaking.

..... You're one of the biggest jerks I've ever met.... That kind of joke is extremely uncalled for..

"You little..... Something's definitely wrong with you..."

I growled towards the humorous girl, my patience was quickly wearing thin with her.

"... No, it's just that we're almost there so I wanted to lighten your mood"

My eyes lit up at the thought of seeing Kurai, Yuki noticed this and smiled. I glared and looked away slightly embarrassed.

"See that mossy building that looks like it'll crumble down any second? Kurai is in there... However there's this dark presence close to him... We should hurry"

I nodded and we ran the last remaining hundred meters, when we arrived I wasted no time in circling the building, looking for any kind of entrance.

"Where is the damn entrance?!?"

I growled, frustrated after finding no entrance after circling the building a few times. I kicked one of the walls and felt the stone shift slightly.

What if I make an entrance?..

"I'll wait outside and be back up incase something unexpected happens, plus I want the seme to rescuer his uke and look so brave"

Yuki suggested as she leaned against a tree, I nodded and discarded the nonsense that she had added at the end.

Kurai, I'm coming for you!

I gave the wall one if my strongest kicks, I was thankful that the wall was already falling apart in the first place. Most people would have a broken leg by now.

I gave the wall another strong kick and it came tumbling down, I coughed from the dust spewed into the air from the collapse.

"KURAI!!!!"

I called out as I hopped into the building, I was thankful that I had managed to somehow end up beside Kurai. I saw that he had been cowering from this strange violet haired man with weird eyes, I landed a spin kick in his stomach to send the stranger flying backward.

Keep your hand off of Kurai!

"Hikari.... You... You came..."

Kurai looked so happy, his sea green eyes were shining with the tears that welled from them and down his face.

Kurai... I'm so glad you're safe... I made it in time..

"Why wouldn't I come Kurai, I can't just leave my ditzy friend all alone"

I smirked as I pulled the coal haired boy closer to me for protection, I glared in the direction of the man that I had spin kicked. I noticed that Kurai was bleeding a lot from a gash of his cheek.

"Did he hurt you badly...?"

I traced my hand along the gash on Kurai's cheek, I was glad when the smaller boy shook his head. I smiled glad that Kurai wasn't hurt too badly.

That little... How dare he harm Kurai... He's so innocent so why the hell would anyone want to harm him?!

"No Hikari I'm fine thanks to you"

I nodded towards the coal haired teen then turned towards the violet haired man who was now getting up, it surprised me that he hadn't been knocked out from the pain like most people.

"So you're the one who took Kurai away from me..."

I smirked, Licked off Kurai's sweet and delicious blood off of my hands, I was planning on making that violet haired man pay for harming Kurai. I glared as he gave me an eerily sweet smile towards me.

"Ah so you're the Hikari that stands by Kurai... Hmm I might just have to extinguish your light then"

The violet haired man's duel coloured eyes gleamed as an energy beam like sword appeared in his hands, I was glad that Kurai had the mind to hide behind me.

Something's off about this guy, anyway I'll dispose of him then take Kurai away from this old run down place.

"Hmm no, I don't think so pops, I don't need you influencing Kurai in any bad ways!"

I yelled as I leaped towards the man, I dodged his energy sword just barely as I landed a strong kick upon his lower legs. I smirked when I heard the bone shattering noise of breaking bones.
However he didn't topple over like most people would I glanced up to his face and my spine prickled with fear. The lavender haired man had a wicked smile spread across his face as he laughed like a crazed maniac.

Damn! How the hell?... He's not human...

"HIKARI NO!"

I heard a distant call, everything happened too fast, I felt a searing pain explode within my chest, I couldn't stop the scream that came out of my mouth. I could see the pulsing of the blade as I gazed at my chest, my own blood was pooling onto the ground.

What just...... How did this happen.... He wasn't this fast before... Kurai... I guess I couldn't protect you very well... I guess I'll never make it home..

My vision was blurred from my blood loss, the pain had become so great that my body now felt too numb. Faint black specks were appearing around my vision, my senses were starting to fade away.

I feel so strange.... I should be afraid but I'm calm... Maybe it's because being scared will do me no use...

"Now now Kurai... This wouldn't have happened if you just played by my own rules.. However there is a way to save you and your friend..."

Huh what?... What is that guy trying to make Kurai do?...

"How can he be saved?..."

Kurai sounded so broken, it made me sad that I was going to leave the coal haired boy for good, I knew I was going to miss how ditzy and strange he was.

Kurai.... Don't listen to him... I'm sure something bad will happen to you..
"Obey me... You will be by my side..."
Why would that guy want Kurai?... He's just an amnesiac boy... Does he know Kurai from before he lost his memories? If so.... I don't want them being reacquainted..

It was hard to breath, if I hadn't already lost feeling in my body I was sure that I would have passed out from pain and blood loss.

"No... Kurai just leave me.. I'll be fine... Escape from that crazy lunatic while you still can.."

It took a lot of effort to speak, however I didn't want Kurai to potentially be manipulated by the dangerous violet haired man.

Just leave me.... I'm okay with dying if it meant I cold have a.... Friend as good as you, the first person to ever accept me...

"Fine.... Just don't let Hikari die..."

Kurai no! I wanted to yell and scream at him, to call him an idiot. However I had no strength left within me. I felt so helpless.

"Good boy Kurai... I'll fix you up after I send your precious Hikari away all patched up..."

Kurai... You idiot....

Me: that's the end of the chapter......

Kurai: it's super long

Hikari: true

Me: >^< gah it's so troublesome... Accidentally making it too long... Plus it took a lot of time...

Hikari: hmm this is your longest story so far

Me: and it's just barely begun...

Kurai: yay!

Me: oh you guys, want to know why I chose your colours?

Kurai, Yuki, Hikari: sure..

Me: okay I wanted Kurai to have normal black hair, Hikari has white hair because its the opposite, Yuki... Scarlet seemed like a nice colour

Yuki: ^-^

Kurai: ah..

Hikari: eye colour?

Me: green eyes are the most rare eye colour (or so I've been told) so sea green for Kurai, red is the colour that compliments green the most so crimson for Hikari, Yuki, I like blue eyes so icy for her.

Yuki: what about Asura?....

Me: secret hehe anyway hope ya enjoyed the chappy~
