Chapter 13 is here~~ anyway let the chapter start. Kurai is sleeping while his friends talk about him~

Hikari POV

"So I guess I'll start the story a little after I somehow ended up on Fisori. I was a little disorientated and confused, I was searching through a forest for a meal. I then spotted a coal haired boy just standing still in the forest..."

I said before Yuki interrupted me.

"So that was Kurai?"

I nodded before continuing my story.

"Yes it was Kurai.... But it also wasn't the Kurai you know today..."

Yuki tilted her head, her icy eyes were filled with confusion, I didn't blame her I still think it's strange.

"Kurai but not Kurai? What does that mean?"

I smiled uneasily at her question, I hated remembering how our coal haired friend looked back then.

"I circled around him then flung him to the ground, Kurai barely even reacted. I went to go drink his blood but his gaze stopped me... His eyes had no life in them at all..."

So cold and dull... His current state is much better thankfully.

"No life? At all? But how? Kurai seems so full of like now..."

The scarlet girl gasped in surprise, I agreed with her about how strange it was.

"It's true, back then I shook it off and began to drink his blood.... It was the best I have ever tasted, however I stopped. I was used to my prey screaming and struggling to get away but Kurai... He just laid there on the ground so I stopped drinking and looked at him confused. I asked him why he wasn't running and he told me he didn't know what I meant in a emotionless voice, it actually sort if creeped me out."

I noticed Yuki look at the sleeping Kurai with a sad expression on her face, it was hard to imagine someone like him used to be like that.

"I told him that I was dangerous and that he should run, I don't know why I did. Maybe because the situation just seemed so odd to me. Well anyway, Kurai shook his head and told me that I don't seem dangerous and that I seemed normal."

"Wait... He thought that a vampire throwing him to the ground and drinking his blood was normal?..."

Yuki seemed totally confused about the odd logic that Kurai had. I nodded sadly.

"Yeah, I also couldn't believe him yet his actions interested me. Me and Kurai stayed like that for a good while before one of the vampire hunters that had been chasing me caught up to me."

I gave Yuki a quick glare as I remembered how she reacted when we first met.

"The hunter, I didn't notice him approach so he caught me off gaurd with an exorcism arrow in my chest... It stung like hell.. Kurai just looked up at me as my blood dripped on to his face. The hunter called me a fowl creature and what not and threw me off of Kurai. I remember almost being impaired with a sword but Kurai for some reason hopped in front of me..."

Yuki gave me a look of confusion.

"Wait he didn't know you, he also wasn't himself yet he still protected you?..."

The scarlet haired girl asked in amazement.

"Yeah, I also didn't understand why Kurai did that... The hunter told Kurai to move out of the way but Kurai just shook his head. He told the hunter that killing isn't good with a monotone voice even though I had tried to kill him. The hunter laughed and called Kurai a crazy before pushing him away with the blunt of his sword. Kurai then did something that I still can't believe, he spun kicked the hunter's legs and made the hunter fall, his face was emotionless as he grabbed my hand and ran away with me."

"Wait,wait, wait.... Kurai did a spin kick?! But he-"

I cut Yuki off.

"I know.... That was the one and last time I've ever seen Kurai actually fight properly and it seemed more like an automatic reflex instead of deciding to do it."

The scarlet haired girl frowned at my explanation.

"Yeah... It's odd anyway after we ran for a while I pulled on his arm and made him stop running and he just stood on the spot. I asked why he saved me and he told me that he didn't know. I then asked his name and he waited a long time before telling me that his name was Kurai. I grudgingly thanked him then left, the next day I was curious and went to where I left Kurai, he was standing in the same spot I had left him. It was as if he hasn't moved a single muscle."

"Kurai stood there the whole time?..."

Yuki asked I could tell that she didn't quite believe me but I didn't care if she did it not.

"Yeah, I walked over to him and asked him why he was still there and Kurai told me that he didn't know, I asked him more questions about himself but he said he didn't know for all of them so I figured that he had amnesia."

"Wait then how do you know Kurai's not from Fisori?"

I frowned, Yuki had asked a very important question that even I wasn't quite sure what the proper answer was.

It's true he could be from Fisori but I doubt it..

"His clothes had a crest that belonged to my world on it, it wasn't from a important place but it was certainly a crest from my world"

Yuki nodded in understanding, crests from a completely different world can't possibly be the same in another.

"So what happened to those clothes?"

I blushed slightly as I remembered an event that happened a few weeks after I met Kurai.

"Ah Kurai got new ones because those ones.... Got filthy.... Well anyway, I was curious about Kurai so I decided to have him follow me, it was actually quite simple. He did exactly what I said and when I said it as if he was a puppet."

I felt heard Kurai mumble something in his sleep before hugging my arm and nuzzling into it, Yuki smiled and made a strange squeaking sound.

"Well Kurai doesn't seem anything like that..."

I nodded, I was glad that those days of Kurai acting like a puppet.

"True... After the first day he seemed a little human at least, then I noticed how he glows in the moonlight, for some reason Kurai seems to radiate when he's under the moon's rays. I began to teach Kurai how to get dressed, eat, and .... How to bathe and use the restroom... It was odd because he seemed so empty."

Yuki's face flushed and I scowled slightly because she was being immature.

"Ahem... Anyway the more I taught Kurai the more human he seemed to become... To be honest I did nothing but teach him for a whole week straight just because I didn't like seeing him look so empty. Also the rate he became almost 'normal' was fast that its hard to believe"

"So that's why Kurai seems so innocent... He doesn't know any better... And that explains how dim he can be at times. Also he must have grown attached to you because of all you've done for him."

Yuki said as her icy eyes scanned over the sleeping Kurai.

"Yeah... He's so gullible and trusting that he's not safe on his own... Anyway since Kurai is asleep I guess we can talk about what happened when you went to go look for herbs."

Yuki's icy eyes narrowed, I could tell that she was curious about what had happened.

"Yeah.... It was really strange how he suddenly became okay..."

Yeah.... It wasn't normal at all..... No body can recover that fast not even me...

"I think something's not normal about Kurai... I think that Asura may have done something to him..."

I said as I put some more branches into the fire that had started to diminish.

"Why? Was that the first time that something like that has happened to him?"

I answered the scarlet haired girl's question with a quick nod, sure Kurai had gotten sick a few times but it was always normal illnesses and he recovered like a normal person would.

"Hmm Kurai also has been a little more easy to irritate after that as well..."

I was surprised that Yuki had also noticed Kurai's irritation.

"Was that why you were annoying when you guys went to go collect branches?"

The scarlet haired girl sighed slightly and nodded.

"Yeah... I wanted to see if I was imagining his irritation... Well it isn't bad irritation just sort of how most people would feel"

Hmm I guess I won't be able to tease him as often without actually bugging him...

"Hmm I guess we should go get some rest before Kurai wakes up"

I covered my mouth as I yawned, I knew that both of us would need to get some rest so as to not be exhausted later on.

Me: the chapter is finished~ a little short because Kurai was asleep hehe

Yuki: I learned so much...

Hikari:....... Yeah I guess you did

Me: hehe this was a really quick update.......

Kurai: you wrote it right after the last chapter...
