Chapter 1 : Kurai and Hikari

Hehe the first chapter of tales of Fisori is here and guess what? I actually own the characters! I know right, I usually write fanfiction well anyway let the story start~

Kurai POV

Where am I?.. This place... How am I back home?! I thought I was trapped on Fisori.. So then how? Is this some kind of dream?...

I looked around at the scene of my humble little house at the top of a grassy hill, I could smell the fresh air and feel the wind's cool breeze. I looked down at my left hand and opened then closed it a few times.

No this feels too real to be a dream... But, how did I get back if this isn't a dream? I don't understand, however I'm glad that I'm finally home..
But, is that actually my home? I... Think so, it feels so familiar to me, but at the same time... It doesn't..

"Kurai"

Huh? What was that? Who called my name?...

I looked around confused, the only things around me were the lush greenery and what appeared to probably be my home.

"Hey Kurai get up"

Hikari? But how..? Aren't I back home? Why is he here?... Wait NO!

I cried out as I watched the image of the familiar house fade away, I reached out my arm in an attempt to grasp it. I didn't want to leave, I wanted to stay there, to find out more about myself. I felt as if that place held many of my memories that I had lost, from the time before I had become stranded on the world known as Fisori.

No please... I want to stay, I don't want to go back... Just let me stay!

The images around me faded away into a pure white as everything around me disappeared.

I opened my eyes slowly to see crimson eyes flickering with annoyance staring down at me, his snowy white bangs were hanging over his face that reflected his annoyance towards me.

"Kurai, you've slept in way too late, it's way past noon, almost night time. You knew we were checking out our lead towards a way home today, so you have no excuse for staying up late last night"

Hikari sighed, he was always getting annoyed at me. It was surprising that he hadn't already left me a long time ago, yet it also made me glad that he had stayed.

I wrinkled my nose in disgust when the snowy haired Hikari handed me one of our old wooden Bowls filled with a sickly green liquid. It smelt worse than week old bile.

Does Hikari actually expect me to eat something like this? It's food right...? Maybe?

"Hikari... This food, do you actually expect me to eat this? It doesn't even look edible..."

I murmured, I seriously doubted the safety of the bile reeking liquid that existed within my wooden bowl, it was strange, even for Hikari. The snowy haired teen leaned close to me and glared at my with his crimson eyes as he rested his hand on my head.

"Would you rather eat dirt Kurai? Or how about nothing? If not, you better start feeling grateful that I even made you food."

Hikari growled, his voice was cold and his breath greatly reeked of fresh blood, it was hard enough not trying to gag at the green liquid in my bowl but with the smell of blood added, it was much worse.

"Ugh.. Hikari, please do something about your breath... It reeks too much of blood it's disgusting!"

I covered my nose and moved slightly away from my snowy haired friend, it was too early for me to go smelling such bile scents mixed together. Most people wouldn't be as affected as me, however I have a really sensitive nose so I'm often a victim of putrid smells that most wouldn't notice.

"Sorry Kurai, next time instead of working in cooking your food, I'll brush my teeth instead. How about that?"

The snowy haired teen growled angrily as he took away my bowl of soup, I didn't mind however. It wasn't like I was going to eat it anyway.

Hikari, you're always in a bad mood, is it because you're a vampire? Even if that's your reason you still got to be more nicer.

"Hikari, you shouldn't be in such a bad mood just because I slept in. You could have woken me up sooner you know"

I sighed, I didn't really understand how such a innocent looking boy could be such a fowl mouthed vampire. I didn't think I'd ever understand anyway.

"I can be in a bad mood if I want Kurai! You may not want to get back home but I do, I can't stand being on Fisori any longer! I just want to go home... Maybe a person like you who has no past memories could never understand"

The crimson eyed vampire hissed at me, I wasn't scared however I knew Hikari would never hurt me.

I walked to the open window of our apartment we were staying at and looked outside. I could see the blue moon radiating its soft blue tinged light upon a small pond that was out front.

It's way past noon! Why didn't Hikari wake me up sooner?

I guess I can't blame Hikari for being upset, he must have people he cares about and misses. Me? I don't know if I even have a family, and if I do? I wonder if they even miss me or even care that I'm missing.

I don't know how to explain how I feel, the only memories I have are from when I woke up on Fisori and met Hikari other than that.. My mind is filled with void space.

Hikari POV

I looked over at the lazy teen on the couch in front of me, it was just so annoying how he could sleep in easily without a care in the world.

I leaned over Kurai, his coal black hair was covering his face and his eyes were closed so that his sea green pools of colour were hidden. Everything about the sight filled me with annoyance, I didn't even know why I was annoyed which in return made me even more annoyed.

Why? Why am I drawn towards you? Your blood is what I crave, usually I wouldn't hesitate in sinking my fangs into someone's neck, so why? Why do I hesitate?

I should wake up Kurai, before I lose myself and devour him fully. It's already late out, I prefer the darkness if night contrast to the light of day.
"Kurai"

I gently nudged the teen who was sleeping soundly in an attempt to wake him up. I frowned when he just rolled over and murmured softly in his sleep.

Kurai... How the hell can someone sleep for over twelve hours and not wake up easily?!

"Hey Kurai get up"

I nudged Kurai however I was a little more rough than my last attempt, I had to be careful not to harm the human in front of me. I was a vampire with enhanced strength so I could easily crush the bones of a human like Kurai.

I looked at Kurai curiously as he cried out sadly in his sleep, he sounded so desperate and sad. It made me wonder what he could have been dreaming about. My mouth watered slightly at the sight of his neck, I leaned closer to take a slight sample of it, however I was greeted with sea green pools that blinked open.

All I needed was a few more seconds till I could drink his blood... He always seems to wake up at the most inconvenient times.

I moved away from Kurai slightly annoyed, I didn't want him to realize what I had wanted to do. I knew that he wouldn't be terrified like most but I still didn't like the idea of him knowing that I tried to drink from him while he was asleep.

"Kurai, you've slept in way too late, it's way past noon, almost night time. You knew we were checking out our lead towards a way home today, so you have no excuse for staying up late last night"

I sighed, I always got frustrated while I was around Kurai, his scent always seemed to draw me towards him. However I didn't mind his company, it felt slightly relaxing when I was around my coal haired friend.

I remembered the meal I had made for Kurai and I reached over to hand him the bowl of grass soup that I had specially prepared for him. I noticed his sea green eyes flash with disgust as he looked into the wooden bowl of the grass soup.

What's wrong with it? It's not like it has grown a head in front of him. Hasn't he ever seen this before? It's delicious.

"Hikari... This food, do you actually expect me to eat this? It doesn't even look edible..."

What?.... Ungrateful...

Hikari murmured as he gazed down towards the soup as if it was going to bite his head off. I couldn't believe how much of a closed mind Kurai had, I glared at the coal haired teen and rested my hand on his head as I looked him in the face.

"Would you rather eat dirt Kurai? Or how about nothing? If not, you better start feeling grateful that I even made you food."

I growled coldly towards him, I knew he wasn't used to strange foods but he needed to get used to them. Kurai looked like he was going to be sick it confused me slightly.

"Ugh.. Hikari, please do something about your breath... It reeks too much of blood it's disgusting!"

Seriously? First you complain about my cooking, now you complain about my breath...

Kurai covered his nose in disgust and moved slightly away from me, I knew he had an sensitive nose, even better than my own but it still gave him no excuse to complain about me.

It's not my fault I crave blood, though it's delicious..

"Sorry Kurai, next time instead of working in cooking your food, I'll brush my teeth instead. How about that?"

I growled as I took away the grass soup that I had given my coal haired friend, it was perfectly good soup that was to be wasted due to Kurai's stubborn eating.

Kurai, why do you always manage to get under my skin at even the smallest of things? Almost everything you do annoys me to almost no end.

"Hikari, you shouldn't be in such a bad mood just because I slept in. You could have woken me up sooner you know"

You.... Have no idea

Kurai sighed, and gazed at me with his sea green pools sadly for a second then looked away at his feet as if he was in deep thought.

"I can be in a bad mood if I want Kurai! You may not want to get back home but I do, I can't stand being on Fisori any longer! I just want to go home... Maybe a person like you who has no past memories could never understand"

I hissed angrily at Kurai, normally I would tear the person apart for being so foolish but to Kurai... I wouldn't do that.

You have no idea... I miss my homeland so much, everything was simple. I was accepted for what I was easily there, here most people try to destroy me just because I exist.

I may not have a family anymore but I still miss home...

I watched the coal haired teen walk over to the windowsill of our apartment with hazy eyes, I knew he was deep in thought. Probably trying to think about his past, I knew that he had no memories when I met with him.

The blue moons light radiated off of Kurai, it was as if he was a Catalyst of the moons essence by the way he seemed to always glow in the moonlight. The sight of him drew me towards him, he didn't notice me as I walked up towards him.

His scent was so tempting, I looked at his exposed neck, he didn't seem to be paying any attention to his surroundings.

It would be so easy, all I need to do I sink my fangs into his neck and drink some of his delicious blood..

Kurai should really learn to pay more attention towards his surroundings, it could cause him problems later on.. However absent minded is how Kurai is I guess.

Me: that's the end of the first chapter~

Kurai: not much happened...

Hikari: duh! Berry needs to introduce our characters!

Kurai: oh... Well what's with the names in this?

Me: they have meaning in my favourite language~

Kurai: ah...

Hikari: well I'm a sixteen year old vampire and my idiotic friend Kurai doesn't know his age but we think he's around my age probably younger by the way he acts

Kurai: Hey!!
