Sora Drabbles #1 || Connection
Me: I have never seen a phone in Kingdom Hearts. Like, at all. I bet their phones are Wayfinders. *searches up in the internet* Uhh... yeah. So Wayfinders then. ^^"
Oh right. Just a heads up, read the chapters chronologically to understand this story better.
Enjoy~
..~*~..
"I don't see the point of this (f/n)." Sora said, scratching his head for the millionth time this morning. In his hand lays a rectangular device which held of no importance to his life regardless of how many times (f/n) said otherwise. He had been warned by Yen Sid so many times before regarding of (f/n)'s origins and gaming instincts but he couldn't bring himself to listen, seeing that (f/n) barely showed any assertion. Boy, how he regretted not listening to Yen Sid. He should have ran away and listened when the chance represented itself.
"Oh come on Sor! Just give it a chance! I'm just merely showing you the ways how my fellowmen in an alternate universe do mostly in their life!"
"By telling me how to type a message in this...this..." Sora had a trouble time uttering what the bizarre-looking device called as he is not the type to remember things in an instant. "Whatever this thing calls!" He finally says, sighing what seemed to be in relief. Even remembering the device took most of his energy when he should be wasting it in training.
"Well that's rude. And that's a phone." The girl frowns, obviously disapproving the brunette's lack of awareness and understanding.
"I'm so sorry but I have important matters to be dealing with." Sora sighs, slightly guilty. Maybe Riku is right. He really indeed needs to learn the proper etiquette on how to address a girl. "I really think it is interesting to know things that weren't even invented in this world but time is running (f/n). I just cannot afford to lag behind in my training."
"It's alright." The girl shrugged her shoulder. This took Sora's attention immediately, surprise evident in his face. He is seriously not expecting that. He was just steeling himself for the possible incoming disappointed remarks just seconds ago after stating his own dilemma.
"Y-you're not angry?" He presses. (F/n) just shook her head at this, and Sora frowns. It was not that he didn't believe her but isn't it logical enough to be sincere with yourself? "Surely you must be feeling an emotion or two after what I said."
"Sora, I'm laughing. What do you think?" The girl laughed, amused at the brunette's confusion and disapproval of her laid-back remark. "But I'm telling you; I get it. Really. Believe me when I said I do understand."
"But it didn't make any sense at all!" Sora exclaimed, clearly not backing out. He crosses his arms, a pouty look on his face. "Just say you're offended or something! It would save us more time."
(F/n) could only facepalm at this. She genuinely likes Sora. Indeed she does as he is one of her favorite characters but his determination and stubbornness can be so vexing at times when not aptly put. "Look, what part of I do understand you do not understand? I'm sincere here Sora. I do understand alright? There's nothing for me to say because that is the truth!"
"Are you sure?" He raises a brow at this, still skeptical. (F/n) just sighs, her annoyance for the Keyblade wielder too perceivable to miss.
"Yes."
This time, he didn't say anything. However, his eyes are forever attentive; narrowing at her as he tried his best to look for that one slight movement that could give away the girl's credibility.
'This is really foolish.' (F/n) thinks, waiting for the brunette rather impatiently to finish his own observation. 'I shouldn't have insisted in showing him the phone right at the beginning.' Then a small grin broke free on her face. 'However...'
"You know.." (F/n) began. Sora gave one last narrow-eye look at her before setting his eyes at hers. The grin she just had seconds ago vanished before the brunette could see just as she continued, "I am willing to give up the whole-bizarre-device-lesson as much as you put it on one condition."
(F/n) didn't know if the new diversion would be pleasant or not for his own ears as the Keyblade wielder just hesitated for a moment. However, much to her satisfaction, Sora asked; a rather careful forte in his voice, "What is it?"
"Just keep doing this every day. I swear I can feel a connection." A pondering look came to her face, unaware of Sora's glowing red-beet face, "I wonder of my world.. If phones don't exist but rather this new connection, will there be a difference?" Then she faced him, still having that pondering look, "What do you think Sor?"
(F/n) would never have thought in her entire life that the Sora of Kingdom Hearts could back out immediately without a thought. Moreover, with a red beet face. Just how can he do that anyway?
"L-look at t-the time! G-gotta fly! Bye!"
"Wait! Is that a yes or a no?" The gamer yelled after his retreating form but he was no longer in an earshot. "Drat, oh well," (f/n) shrugs, "I could just ask him later after his training." Just as she was about to head off to Riku to annoy him, she blinked; realizing something before groaning, "Oh man. My phone is with him. And here I thought I can show Riku a couple of pictures of him and Sora."
Meanwhile in Sora's side...
"...Get out."
"But Riku! I'm serious!"
"No way in hell that the Sora I used to know since I was young would appear in front of my door asking on how to talk to a lady. You talk to Kairi since we were all kids, and she is a lady is she not?"
"I know she is a lady but (f/n) is a serious case!"
"...You're overreacting Sora. Just go home."
"I am serious! You seriously need to reconsider this!"
"Alright alright! Just calm down! I will seriously reconsider if you stop yanking on my shirt you idiot!"
..~*~..
Sora: ...
Riku: Took my silence.
Me: That's a first. Especially from you.
Riku: What else should I say aside from "I'm next"? *annoyed*
Me: ...Good point.
