After hours of pleading, I finally convinced Autumn to watch Romeo while I go to work.

Lana wants me to do a bit more digging on Jesse. I want to ask why she is so set on him, but I know she wont tell me. I look up his records but to my suprise, nothing shows up. He appears to be crystal clean.

I furrow my eyebrows and search Lana instead. A bunch of information about her being Mayor pops up, but of course im not interested in that.

However, the words Lana Marks catches my eye.

"This bitch," I mumble.

I start reading the file and discover that the two of them were married for two years. They divorced after Lana suffered a miscarriage, and Jesse blamed her. Thats really fucked up!

But why didnt this come up when I searched Jesse's name?

I go back to his file and find an encryption.

Suddenly I hear a knock on the door, which causes me to jump and close my laptop.

"N-Normani, I didnt see you there," I chuckle.

"I know, Im sorry I didnt mean to startle you,"  she giggles.

"If you are um, looking for Lana, she just stepped out," I say.

"Well its a good thing im not looking for her then", she smirks.

Taking in her appearence, my mouth starts to water, as she slowly unbutton her all black trench coat.

She starts walking towards me seductively, he red bottom heels tapping against the office tiles.

"Holy fuck," I gasp.

Instinctively I stand up and grab uer waist.

"Mani, I dont do, do over's", I whisper.

"Well then dont think of it as a do over," she husks before pushing me back down into my chair.

My eyed trail down her milky skin before a certain cuban catches my attention.

"I-im sorry," she stutters and runs out of my office.

I pull away from Normani and quickly run after her, ignoring Normani calling after me.

"CAMILA WAIT," I call out.

She hesitantly turns around, allowing me to see her bright red and tear stained cheeks.

"Im sorry, lets just forget about this  o-okay," she mumbles.

I open my mouth to speak but cant find the words so I just nod.

"Wait, is everything okay", I ask.

"What do you mean," she asks.

"Is there a reason you stopped by", I say.

"Oh um, my family wanted to know if you were free to have dinner with us tonight, as a way to thank you for finding Sofia", she mumbles.

"Would you be okay with that," I ask hesitantly.

"Well, its the polite thing to do," she smiles sadly.

I nod awkwardly.

"Im sorry, I really have go", she says and runs off before I can reply.

The fuck just happened?!?!

I shake my head and walk back up to a  newly clothed Normani who is glaring at me.

"What? Just a quick fuck right," I say harsher than I mean to.

"Yeah, just a quick fuck," she says sadly before walking out of my office.
