Yeosang can feel his heart break as he watches from afar, Anna's house cordoned off after the crime had happened in her house. He can see the maid, which he assumes is the one who spotted the message first, giving a testimony to the police, looking like she's shaken up herself. He has been trying to contact Anna but it seems that she's been unreachable ever since the message she had sent to him this morning.

It also looks like they have decided to hand the case over to the police, judging from how there are several officers crowding the front gates.

He can only hope that Anna is doing well, because he's not about to walk into the house while claiming that he's her boyfriend now. He'll surely be kicked out before he even manages to say the first sentence, and not to mention how their relationship is still being kept under wraps. To have her parents find out just right after they were targeted by the Reflectors might give them too much of a shock. All of his messages have gone unread, and he can't imagine how Anna is feeling right now.

There seems to be a barrier that prevents him from moving closer to her house, and the crime scene gets more and more crowded. Curious neighbours and onlookers have guessed what had happened, giving rise to a ripple of panic among the crowd gathered. Along with the verbalization of worry among them, there is a common question asked; why the Yoo household was targeted by the Reflectors.

It's a known fact that the Reflectors have a certain targeted group, and Yeosang can't bear to hear them talking bad about Anna's family, despite knowing that if it's true, there's nothing much that he can do. All that he hopes is that anyone who's not involved with the scandals would not be on the receiving end, but when it comes to rumours they will fly about without any restrictions. He's scared that Anna is going to be affected by it, since sometimes people know no mercy when they talk about others.

He gives one last message to her, typing it out slowly as he tries to word his sentence properly. As he hits the send button, there's a feeling of heaviness that hangs around him. First it's Soyeon, and now it's Anna. He looks back to his house; if Danbi gets hurt too I won't forgive myself.

It's true how he's feeling wary of Danbi after knowing the results of the DNA tests, but deep down inside he feels that there is more than what he has managed to find out. Both him and Anna has tried to make sense on how they would share the exact same DNA, and after much research by Anna - who, despite being a fashion designer, having medical professors as parents means that she's exposed to a lot of medical and scientific terms - they could only come to one conclusion.

If they are not indeed the same person physically, another scenario where they could have a matching set of DNA would mean that they are the same person, but in another term.

Yeosang thinks back to the extensive discussion they had about the possibility.

"Clones?" Yeosang had looked at her in incredulity. "You're saying they are clones of each other? That sounds kind of... weird."

"It does sound weird, and it's a heavily controversial topic," Anna supplemented. "Cloning plants and animals are normal, but the limit is set when it comes to humans. It's illegal in a sense, also not to mention that it has never been successfully done on humans before."

"You're saying that Danbi and Soyeon were successful attempts to clone humans? One of them were put into a machine and bam, another was produced at some point of their lives?"

Anna chuckled, clearly amused by his set idea of what a cloning attempt is. "I think you've watched too many movies, baby." She bit her lower lip as her new nickname for him slipped out of her mouth, still feeling shy from the fact that they're now together. "That's not how cloning works, at least not in real life."

"Oh," he hummed, "I've always thought it was cool but scary. Not to mention how it seemed so simple."

"Usually, you'd do cloning by taking someone's cells- DNA, and inject them into another cell so they can grow. Basically, a clone won't be the same age as the original donor of the DNA, because the clone still needs to grow normally. It's not like you photocopying something and getting the exact same results. It needs time."

"Okay," he nodded. "That sounds a bit confusing but I think I get what you're trying to say."

"I'll try to make it sound a bit simpler. There's also another way of cloning where you take the ball of cells that is about to grow into another human- say, for example the ball of cells was supposed to develop into person A. But whoever manipulated the cells decided to make a copy of it, so they take a bit of that DNA inside and transfer into another cell, allowing it to develop at the same time. It's an arduous process, but you get the gist of it."

"So... manipulating these cells outside of the human body. Making a copy of a cell that's supposed to grow."

"Essentially. Then you just implant those ball of cells in the original mother, or you can even use a substitute; if you've heard about it they're called surrogates. If it's their DNA that has been used, they have a blood relation to the babies. But if it's not their DNA, and they're only a 'place' where the babies can grow, then they're simply the birth mother, not related genetically."

"There's a possibility that they are Sir Bae's daughter, but their mother isn't Madam Bae. Or at least..." His mind whirred at the fact, as only the people in the Bae household know about how Soyeon's mother couldn't carry on with a pregnancy. "Something must have happened then, for Bae Wonshik to not know that they are his daughters, related genetically. Or maybe he knows but he's keeping it a secret."

Anna nodded. "In the end, like how rumours work, you have to ask those involved directly, or those who know the full story. Assuming won't be getting us anywhere."

"If I were to ask..." Yeosang looked up, "I'm scared I would stir something... dormant. Something that wasn't supposed to be disturb; I don't want to be the cause of the collapse of their household."

She smiled weakly. "Soyeon going missing... did she accidentally find out the truth and decided she needed some time away?"

He sighed. "I wish I had the answer."

Yeosang snaps out of his thoughts when he hears his name being called, and he sees that Anna is jogging over to him, relief on her face when it seems that he's there.

She's waving her hand with her phone clasped in it, claiming something about not being able to answer his messages because she was too busy being interviewed by the police. Now that she's free from being asked questions, she has decided to step out to meet him. Before she puts a step forward, he can already see that she's about to trip, so he runs to her and catches her on time before she tumbles to the ground.

"Are you okay?" he asks, cupping her face before inspecting the cuts on her face. "Did you fall and hurt your face? Did the Reflectors-"

She squeezes him in a hug, which stops his waterfall of questions and he releases a heavy breath, circling his arms around her upper body as he kisses her forehead.

"Ask me one question at a time," she says, an amused undertone lacing her words. "I can't keep up with your questions."

"I was really worried about you, because the first message I received when I woke up was that. I couldn't get past the gates of your house without making anyone suspicious."

"I'm fine," she utters before leaning her head back so she can look at him. Their bodies are still stuck to each other, but they don't mind the speculative whispers their neighbours are making. "I hurt my face because I knocked my forehead against my dressing table. It had nothing to do with the Reflectors."

"Are you sure?" He frowns before lightly touching her wounds on her forehead, his mouth already preparing to nag her. "You should have gotten the wounds covered up, not leave them exposed. What if you get an infection?"

"Hmm," she hums. "I wanted you to cover them up for me."

He laughs before attempting to pat her wounds. "I was really worried about you, you know. And..." he trails off as his face falls at the sight of her parents. They aren't looking too happy, both because of the fact that they have just been targeted by the Reflectors, and now they are seeing their only daughter up in the arms of their neighbour's driver.

Yeosang releases Anna, who's confused on why her boyfriend is suddenly distant, before attempting to bow at Sir Yoo who is walking over to them.

His expression is anything but happy, with his wife behind him looking accusingly at Yeosang.

Yeosang can already feel his heartbeat quickening from fear; he hates how he knows that he'll be put in his place by the professor. He lets go of Anna slowly, who still hasn't realized that her parent is making his way over. He dips his head low as a sign of respect but Sir Yoo does not acknowledge it, merely looking at his daughter with an unreadable expression.

"Anna," Sir Yoo utters, glancing at Yeosang from the corner of his eyes.

Yeosang still has his head dipped low, not wanting to hold it up until he's acknowledged.

"Dad," she replies, finally realizing why Yeosang had let her go almost forcefully. Her hand is still clutching onto Yeosang's sweater, even though her boyfriend is subtly asking her to let go. "I wanted to-"

"Where were you when we were looking for you?"

"I wanted to visit Yeosang-"

He huffs, still pretending that Yeosang doesn't exist, beckoning to his daughter. "Come back home, it's dangerous for you to be outside like this." Finally, he looks at Yeosang up and down. "Why are you with him? Do you want people to start talking?" He leans back his head, fixing his glasses as the sharpest glare is given to the driver, "What are you doing, going around and hugging someone else's daughter?"

"Dad," Anna pleads. "He lives at Sir Bae's house-"

"I know who he is, Anna," he snaps. "And that is why I'm asking. Don't pretend you're the young man of the house when you're just a driver who lives there at the mercy of Bae Wonshik."

"Dad," she pleads, already letting go of Yeosang's shirt before attempting to take a hold of her father's shirt instead. Her eyes are begging him to not create unnecessary drama out in the open, but it seems that he doesn't care as all the focus has been on the Yoo household anyway. "Please don't talk about Yeosang like that."

Yeosang's gaze falls to the asphalt road, training his eyes onto the ground as his long hair curtains his face. He tries with all his might to not appear rebellious, keeping his body stance in check as another reply that grates his feelings comes from Sir Yoo.

"The young lady of the house shouldn't be seen with the driver of the prime minister's daughter," he spits. "You're only lucky that you got the job because of your parents, or else you'll be begging for people's mercy to take you in. Don't be so proud you get to live in a mansion, you're never meant to flaunt it."

Yeosang stays quiet as he balls his hands into fists, but his breath starts to get irregular as he feels his heart being ripped away. He's about to say something but Anna cuts him to it.

"Dad!" she shouts, bringing attention to the three of them.

Her father, and even her mother who is far behind can hear her and they widen their eyes in shock of hearing their daughter shouting. This is the second time their daughter has raised her voice at them, with the first one happening when she was adamant on taking fashion designing instead of medicine like them. They see the same determination in her eyes; which means no one can change her mind.

"You can't say that to another human being! Just because he's born in a family different than ours it doesn't mean that he doesn't deserve to be treated like a human. He has feelings, he works hard, he's the same like all of us. Why are you so proud of your wealth when you know that it wasn't hard work that got you here, but because you've gotten a head start much earlier than others. Money is not everything, dad." Her chest rises up and down.

Her dad is speechless at her outburst so she continues.

"Yeosang is still human, everyone here is human. The fact that we have more money than others doesn't give us the pass to treat others like trash. How is it that even after being targeted by the Reflectors you didn't learn your lesson? This is the exact reason why the Reflectors targeted us; we're too proud in our social standing that we forgot to become decent human beings."

"Anna, it's alright. What your father said is right-" Yeosang tries to calm down the situation but Anna is having none of it. She's had enough of living in her bubble.

"It's not alright. baby," she presses on and funnily, it makes him blush despite the situation. "Dad, I like Yeosang and even though he's only a 'driver'" she does quotation marks, "like you said, he works hard, he's nice and he never fails to notice the littlest things about me. All these years he cared for me even though we weren't together yet." Her words get stuck in her throat, "He was there when both of you were too busy to even notice that I got a new haircut, or when I was feeling down. He was the only one who noticed."

Sir Yoo inhales and exhales, feeling somewhat angry but at the same time he can't find fault in his daughter's words. He looks at Yeosang, who is now looking at him much more bravely. He doesn't know how to react so he chuckles instead, which takes both of them by surprise.

"So you like him so much, is that what you're trying to say, Anna?"

Without missing a beat, she nods. "I like him."

"Even though he's only a driver and you're an aspiring fashion designer?"

"All jobs are jobs, no discrimination," she says grudgingly. "He's still human. As long as he tries his best to work to earn, I don't see why you should be having that prejudice against him."

Sir Yoo sighs deeply, before turning to look at Yeosang. "And you..." When the younger looks up he continues, "You like my daughter?"

Yeosang nods before quietly saying, "Yes, I like your daughter." As an afterthought he adds, "Sir."

Sir Yoo huffs before looking at both his daughter and the driver for a minute before shrugging then turning around, trudging towards the direction of the house. When he approaches his wife, he says something while shaking his head, before both of them take a look to the couple behind them.

Among the crowd they disappear into their house, leaving Yeosang dumbfounded but he gets pulled back to reality when Anna slips her hand into his and smiles.

"Anna..." Yeosang trails off, feeling guilty.

"What?" she says nonchalantly before attempting to pull him by the hand, as if he's a child. "We can talk about it later."

He stops in his tracks, pulling her back as he utters, "He's your father."

She doesn't say anything but pulls him to the direction of Soyeon's house, the guards giving her a pass to enter when they see Yeosang together with her. When they do arrive in the compound, she pulls him further into the garden, where no one would be able to see them. A little bit of privacy is what she needs. She lets go of his hand, releases a heavy breath before trying to suppress the tears that's threatening to spill.

Yeosang blinks before slowly wiping away her tears with his thumbs, muttering, "I'm proud of you back there, and I don't know how lucky I am to have a girlfriend as brave as you."

"I was scared," she admits, "The only time I've ever shouted to my parents was when they wouldn't let me pursue what I wanted in university. I've always tried to follow whatever they want for me but I can't bear it when my dad said all those stuff about you. It's not right. I know that I was being rude but you're one of those that I'm willing to fight for."

He chuckles when she sees her red nose, and she frowns. "I can't believe it has come to the day that I hear Anna Yoo saying sweet words to me. It was always me."

She pouts before attempting to hit his stomach, only gaining a louder laugh from him. "But you always say those sweet words like you never meant it, like they're just common words you speak to other girls. Do you know how fluttery I feel in my stomach whenever you say them to me? But you never-" she hits his stomach again, "-act as if you meant them."

"Anna Yoo," he says firmly. "It's because I know our relationship wouldn't be approved by your parents. I wanted to say them like I really meant it but I know I would just lead you on with false hopes. You've heard your father."

"When I say I love fashion, I'd pursue it no matter what," she presses on, "And when I say I love you, I'd do whatever it takes. They're my parents, but parents need to realize they can't control every aspect of their child's life. I know." She breathes in, "this is how it usually is for... people like us. Bullshit about maintaining a stupid image, but in the end they go around tarnishing their own image by doing illegal stuff. How dare they say that dating someone of a supposedly different rank brings shame to the family when in fact they're ruining their own faces."

"I love you," he says suddenly before adding, "and I'm proud of you. Thank you for standing up for me even though it's against your own father," he presses his lips together, "I've never felt ashamed of who I am."

"I love you too," she chirps, face finally breaking into a smile. "You shouldn't be ashamed of who you are; being a driver is still a job. I don't care what people think or say, because you're my boyfriend."

She tiptoes to kiss him on the nose but he gently pushes her until her back is against the hedge, and he crashes his lips against hers. He tilts his head to get a better angle as he bites her lip, and she runs a hand through his locks as he finishes it off with a light peck on her lips.

He smirks when he sees how Anna has turned into a blushing mess, and she buries her face in her hands while exclaiming, "This is embarrassing."

"What is?"

"Yeosang, you just kissed me in someone else's garden. Not to mention it's your best friend's house."

"Well," he shrugs. "I couldn't resist."

She groans, covering her face with her hands before slapping her cheeks with them. She does it until her cheeks are red. "You need to stop giving me surprise kisses or I'll turn into a human tomato. Round and red."

"Hmm, I love tomatoes though."

"There you go again."

"I'm sorry."

She bunches up her shoulders before pinching his cheeks, pulling them before she looks at him in the eyes.

He senses there's something more that she wants to tell him, so he initiates it. "Is there something more that you want to tell me?"

She sighs before lamenting, "I feel like every time we meet our conversation would always involve something worrying. There's something else I want to say about the Reflectors today."

He looks surprised before retaliating, "What more did they do to your house this time?"

"Their usual message isn't the only one they left. There are more." She unlocks her phone before searching for the pictures she captured. "This time they left longer messages."

He turns his attention to the screen, reading off the clear lines of the message. As he reads it, he doesn't even know whom they're referring to.

When you get rid of one, does the past get buried and do the sins get washed away?

When one gets to live, does it mean that the other will have to die?
