Sweat drips onto his face, his neck and flows under his muscle tee as he heaves himself up the bar, doing his third set for the morning, his legs bent at an angle. He can see his face in the mirror surrounding the gym, his hair damp with sweat and his muscles bulging as he keeps up with his workout. The 24-hour gym proves to be useful to him as he has been at it since before dawn broke, the place witnessing him as the only person initially. The gym then received more and more patrons while he's still unfaltering with his determination to not stop until he feels fatigue coursing through him.

But then again, fatigue only comes to him when he stops and his mind starts to register his body's current situation, so that makes him even more resilient. He can go on for more than an hour without realizing that his sweat has dripped to the floor and his shirt is stuck to him, while the rest of the gym members look on, impressed.

He notices someone coming next to him, and he half-expects one of his teammates to be there, but gets severely disappointed when he sees a young woman sliding next to him, as if trying to pick out some weights but instead is subtly looking at him. Her face shows that she's waiting for this ridiculously good-looking guy who's been working out like crazy since just now to initiate a conversation, then bringing it further with her.

He ignores her, absorbed in his own training and silently hoping that the woman would get the message. He's starting to get annoyed when it's obvious that she's idling near the equipment rack, this time not being subtle at staring at his body as he lifts himself up. With one last grunt and push, he releases his hands from the bar, snatching his face towel and wiping his sweat. Even as he has wiped the sweat off his face he can see the woman still shamelessly staring at him, this time even going as having her eyes travelling to places on his body that's making him had enough.

"You have a problem with me?" Seonghwa brushes back his soaked black hair with his fingers, taking a look at himself in the mirror before turning to the woman. "I hate to be narcissistic but I'm pretty sure you were looking at me until you're not even blinking."

The young woman pretends to be surprised that she is caught, but in reality delighted that the man she has been eyeing initiated the conversation first, despite him looking like he's hating every single thing that has got to do with her. She does a point to stretch her body slightly, hoping that he knows what she can offer if they go beyond the gym after.

Seonghwa lifts up his eyebrows, feigning innocence when he knows exactly what she's trying to do. He takes a water bottle before chugging it down then wiping the water dripping onto his chin with his hand.

"I was thinking that maybe you'd like to go out sometimes," she starts. "You know, have a little chit chat," she does a little motion of drinking, "go out."

He chuckles. "So you want me to ask you out, give you my number, is that it?"

She licks her lips before shamelessly nodding. "Well..." She approaches Seonghwa who's standing at the same spot, before eyeing him up and down. "I've never seen you before here. We don't usually mingle with our neighbours but," her eyes stop in the middle and he instinctively moves backwards, angling his body away, "maybe that can change."

"Ah..." he trails off, still trying to play innocent. "Yeah, I just recently moved in here and it was my first time at this gym. Heard those from Aurora Heights go here often."

She does an exaggerated gasp before her eyes widen. "So you're from Aurora Heights? You must be pretty well-off then, to be living in the same neighbourhood as Bae Wonshik."

"I live next to him, in fact," he says, almost rolling his eyes as he's tired of this game. "Here, I'll give you my number and we can," he pauses, "talk more."

She tries to hide her bubbling excitement and thinks about how easy it is to bait him, this person who looks like he should be on the cover of a modelling magazine instead. Maybe he's easier to play with despite how he looks like; he looks like he's about to murder someone when he's working out but besides that he's only a gullible person. She laughs inwardly while handing him her phone, him typing in with ease as his eyebrows furrow in concentration. When she does get back her phone she frowns, before turning to look at Seonghwa who has this innocent yet annoying smile on his face.

"Your name's... Seo Yeji?" she frowns.

"Uhm, it's a pretty name isn't it?" Seonghwa's lips curl into an even bigger smile. "You can talk to her; she's my boss and she's pretty nice. She's single now so maybe you can accompany her and talk all you want."

She huffs, realizing how she's been played. "And you're not?"

"Luckily, I'm not single." He fishes out his wedding ring from his pocket that he took off when he started working out before putting it on his fourth finger. "I'm married. Oh and," he takes out his phone next and activates the lock screen, "my wife's pretty isn't she?"

She takes a look at his phone screen and she can't deny what he said, but it's not like she'll admit it after getting herself embarrassed. She looks around, trying to see if the other patrons notice what's going on between them. Fortunately, none seems to be paying attention to them. She merely crosses her arms, letting out a heavy breath.

"Sorry, better luck in finding another guy for you then," he suppresses his chuckle before moving away from the gym, intending to shower before he continues his job as the bodyguard for today. The bodyguard of a missing person.

He moves to the locker that he rented, taking out the clothes he brought to change into before slamming the locker shut a bit too hard. It startled another person who's in the room together with him and he does an awkward apology before scurrying to the showers. He takes some time to wait for his body to dry off the sweat as his mind gets heavy with their task at hand. The sound of the showers mix with the sound of his train of thoughts, making his mind drift off to try and connect the pieces that they have.

The Reflectors... are they really responsible for her disappearance? If not for the fact that Soyeon had seen someone that night, claiming it's the Reflectors, he probably wouldn't have that as the first thought. As the thought of the Reflectors come to him, he takes a look at his wedding ring and smiles, tracing the initials written on the ring.

AH ♡ PS

"It's been a long time since I last talked to you," he mutters. "I wonder how you're doing."

He sighs then stands up, stripping off his clothes when he steps into the shower. He cleans himself thoroughly, soaking his head in hopes that it could somehow become clear and he's able to continue the search for today with a newfound determination. Looks like their goal now is not to find Bae Soyeon, but this girl who apparently looks the same as her, who goes by the name Kim Danbi. All courtesy of San's memory, if she does indeed look like Soyeon.

The problem is now, how on earth are they going to track this doppelgänger, whom they don't have any information on, when they can't even find Bae Soyeon herself?

He gets dressed up in his usual bodyguard attire before fanning his hair, letting it dry as he packs up his bags and leaves the locker room. He gets a glance from the woman who hit on him before he does a slight bow, but she only looks away while huffing. He shrugs as he pushes open the gym door, but when he's about to turn to the left he hears multiple screams from the people he knows. Down with mild embarrassment when he sees his teammates screaming like banshees, hands holding some crepe filled with cream that could clog their arteries for breakfast, he stops in his tracks and waits there.

"Park Seonghwa, Park Seonghwa, Park Seonghwa!" Yunho says excitedly, his lips smeared with the cream but it doesn't look like he bothers to clean it up. "You can't guess what Choi San found."

"Well judging from your reactions I'm guessing San found out that he's an heir to a large fortune and that we don't have to work as bodyguards anymore and pulling our hairs out trying to find our client?"

"Well," Jongho pauses, "that would be better wouldn't it? But well, this is the next best thing!" He purses his lips, "In this context of course. Here, we bought this for you, because we're going to another district today." He gives a crepe filled with cream to Seonghwa.

Despite thinking that it's a waste for him to burn off the calories just now but he's feeling hungry anyway, he takes it with a brief thanks. After biting into it, he swallows it before asking, "Which district, and why do you sound so sure?"

"First of all, let's walk while we talk. Burn some calories while we eat, two-in-one," Yunho suggests.

They walk with all four in a row, obstructing the pavement yet they don't seem to hear the grumbling of people trying to walk fast because they're too busy having their own conversation.

"Okay so," San starts, "remember that yesterday I met with Miss Bae's... doppelgänger who claims to be someone named Kim Danbi? I think she slipped this note," he takes something out from his pocket while his right hand carefully holds the crepe to avoid it from becoming a round pancake on the pavement, "inside my pocket. I wanted to put my jacket into the laundry and found it this morning."

"He almost broke down the whole house screaming because he couldn't find you at first," Yunho supplements, "but calmed down when he saw your message in the group saying you're going to hit the gym."

"You could've invited me," San pouts. "It's been some time since I last worked out."

"Just needed some time alone," Seonghwa says, slightly grimacing. "Maybe next time."

When San hands over the note to him he takes it, reading the scribble on it which looks like it's been written hurriedly. There are only two things written on the torn paper; Kim Danbi and Patch. His brain doesn't register anything at first, seeing the two names somewhat disconnected.

"What's a Patch?" Seonghwa returns back the note, to which San shoves inside his pocket before munching on his food first.

Seonghwa narrows his eyes when the younger takes his time to eat, making him wait for the answer in silence. Shifting his attention to the other two next, he gives a face full of expectations before Jongho gets the signal and butts in.

"Oh, we did some panicked research this morning and found out that the Patch is a neighbourhood located in Freesia District; one of the poorest neighbourhoods to exist. The Patch is because they have no architectural consistency; it's like you dump everything you want into the neighbourhood and call it a day."

Yunho adds, "So what we're guessing from this is that she's trying to tell us where she lives."

"Interesting," the oldest replies, "but suspicious."

San frowns. "How so?"

"Before I tell you what I think about this, I think we need to figure out how we're going to get to Freesia District. Either we use public transportation or our own vehicle."

"Having our own vehicle sounds amazing." Yunho starts to get an idea, "And that means we'll have to turn to-"

"Madam Seo," they say in unison.

Jongho whips out his phone, dialling Madam Seo's number before the older woman answers with a sharp voice, asking why on earth are they calling her on such an early, wonderful morning. After putting in their request to have a company vehicle for them, they can hear Madam Seo's grumbling but they know that the car is going to arrive where they're at in a few minutes anyway. Their guess proves to be correct because as they sit by the sidewalk they hear the revving of the engine of the car, the yellow car that they know they can't afford with their incomes, coming to a stop in front of them.

Madam Seo's driver steps out, throwing the keys to Yunho while saying that they can use it for as long as they'd like, but get a scratch on it and Madam Seo will personally hunt them down. The driver does a parting gesture before disappearing into the crowd, now needing to use the public transportation to get back to the office.

"I feel bad for him though," Seonghwa says.

"Right," San agrees.

But Jongho and Yunho are already poring over the said car, exclaiming about how the car is looking handsome, almost throwing themselves on the hood of the car as they feel how smooth and shiny the exterior is. The design of the car is not only what's making heads turn; the four young men surrounding the car, which only exists in limited numbers around the country, are what's making them stop and stare.

The men are oblivious though, as they keep on gawking at the exterior and interior, that even as Yunho gets the honour to be sliding in behind the steering wheel he keeps on rubbing his hands all over the seats and dashboard, his mouth open in awe. When they requested for their own vehicle they did not expect something as exquisite as this; it's either Madam Seo treats every staff in her company the same, or they're still riding on that 'favourite sons' label as they seem to get an even better version of what they requested for.

"Imagine living a life getting everything you want..." Yunho trails off as he does one final swipe on the dashboard before powering up the engine, "...without worrying about what it costs."

"Right," San agrees as he feels his phone vibrating yet again. No matter how many times he blocks their number, changes his own, they still somehow manage to get back to him. How annoying, what does it take for them to understand that there's a reason I'm running away from them? "Not worrying about money... a concept."

With a press on the gas pedal, the car smoothly moves forward, blending in with the traffic on a morning where people are in a rush to attend their affairs. The traffic heading towards Freesia District from where they are is moving at such a slow pace that all four of them lower down their windows, taking the opportunity to look out and breathe in the morning air. There are still some whose eyes linger for more than a second on the car, and Yunho clears his throat, trying to look as best as he can when there are people watching.

Yunho adjusts the way he sits, holding the steering wheel with one hand as he rests his other elbow on the side, hiding a smile as he notices some snapping pictures of him as the driver.

Seonghwa looks to the driver's side when he notices that the car still isn't moving, noticing that Yunho is in his own world, too absorbed in playing the role of a rich conglomerate who owns several businesses that he has to smack the back of the younger's head. "Move, the car behind is honking like crazy, and people are having their attention on us because we're not moving."

"Ah, okay okay." Yunho pouts, rubbing the back of his head where Seonghwa had hit him before changing the gear. He accelerates, directing the car towards the highway which can bring them out of the district.

"Seonghwa," Jongho says. "You told us that what this Kim Danbi did is suspicious. What do you mean?"

Seonghwa plays around with the ring on his finger out of habit, before looking at the two in the backseat through the rearview mirror. He sighs, "It's as best just my assumption, but we can never be too careful after Miss Bae got lost right under our noses, just like that."

"Are you saying that Kim Danbi has a role in her disappearance?" San suddenly utters, his forehead creasing.

"Think about it," Seonghwa adjusts his body so that he's able to face the two behind directly. "Miss Bae claimed that the Reflectors broke into the house that night, and after a few days she went missing. Then somehow while you," he refers to San, "were out looking for her, you came across this person who looks exactly like her. She put in a scrap of paper that can lead you back to her, which could only mean that she wants you to find her again."

"So what you're trying to say is that she wants to replace Miss Bae?" Yunho says in a voice that sounds like he believes everything Seonghwa had said is 100% true, despite not looking at him directly and only focusing on the road. "That she deliberately made Miss Bae disappear somehow, then decided to take over her place."

"Is this something like a good versus evil twin?" Jongho pushes his lips outwards before pulling them back, pressing them into thin lines. "Some conspiracy."

"But she has no guarantee that we'll come back to find her," San interjects. "If she's insistent on replacing her for whatever twisted reason, why not pretend to be Bae Soyeon? Since they look exactly the same."

Seonghwa takes some time to think before shrugging. "You're right, but then again I told you it's just me being cautious. You may never know one's true intentions until they demonstrate those intentions."

"Or maybe," Jongho supplements, "maybe she's confident in getting access to the Bae mansion. And... if she's related to the Reflectors, they are the kind of people who have access to information you don't even know exist. Maybe she somehow knows what it's like inside the Bae household. We've seen it. We don't ever talk about this but if you look the way Bae Wonshik treats his daughter..."

"He resents her," Yunho finishes his sentence. "The typical 'I wish my daughter was more like this, more like that' thought. He wishes for someone different, someone that he can be proud to call a daughter. That is the exact reason he never revealed his daughter to the public; his embarrassment of announcing he has a daughter like her is supplemented by the fact that Bae Soyeon is not one who likes to reveal herself."

"Right, that's exactly what I was thinking. Everything just feels... off in the Bae mansion." Seonghwa closes his window when they are already picking up speed on the highway.

"So she makes her disappear... decides to come in to 'replace' Bae Soyeon... knowing that Bae Wonshik wants a more... unreserved daughter? Someone completely the opposite of Bae Soyeon," San decides.

"Just my assumption," Seonghwa repeats. "Plus too many mystery novels and dramas. For all we know this could only be a cruel coincidence."

"I feel bad for Miss Bae though," Yunho says. "To have someone you think is your father not care about you despite you going missing, just because you choose to live a quiet life. So what if she likes to paint and isolate herself? It's not like she's hurting anyone."

"The world is cruel," San says before almost shouting in frustration as he receives yet another call. Having had enough he immediately blocks the number, thinking of how long it'll take for him to receive another call from an unknown number. He risks missing important calls from others who might use unknown numbers, but he doesn't care. Him avoiding the calls is more important. "You need to worry about yourselves more, and sometimes we do that too."

They leave their questions lingering along the journey to Patch, deciding to only pick everything up after they have gotten a clearer picture. When they do arrive there, Yunho parks the car before they alight, seeing how contrasting it is for the yellow vehicle to be parked inside the area. He looks around because this is as far as the paper would bring them, a signage telling them that they are already in the neighbourhood.

Jongho gets an idea as he enters a convenience store located on the edge of the neighbourhood area, taking out his phone as he opens up a picture of Bae Soyeon. He asks the cashier while showing the picture, "Do you know where I can find her?"

The cashier looks at the picture and in a second she exclaims, "Ah, Kim Danbi? She-" she stops talking before narrowing her eyes, "but why?"

He doesn't answer because he doesn't want to reveal anything as of yet, bringing more unwanted attention to them. He's already being suspicious anyway as he says, "Never mind then. Have a good day." He steps out of the convenience store, joining back the rest of his teammates who look like they have no idea what they are supposed to do next.

"Ah, Song Mingi! What do you mean there's someone suspicious at the house?" a high-pitched voice comes from the entrance of the neighbourhood as the four bodyguards instinctively turn towards the person who's walking in their direction.

The blue-haired person is wearing a red and white checkered sweater, one hand holding a phone and one hand holding a bag of what seems like groceries. He walks past the bodyguards, ignoring them despite the eye-popping colour of the car, while the latter keep following him with their eyes.

"Mingi, I swear if you get our house robbed after allowing the person in- what do you mean he's rich? I don't care if he's rich, you don't simply let anyone into the house! Danbi is going to beat your ass up if you let anything happen to the house," his voice gets fainter as he moves further away from them, but the bodyguards all silently agree with each other.

The name instantly made their ears perk up, and now the four bodyguards are quietly trailing the person, slithering like snakes and moving like assassins as they try to be subtle in stalking him. They are almost reaching the corner where the person would have turned, but San immediately cries out in pain when something hard hits him at the back of his head, before he rolls to the ground.

The rest of his teammates have no idea what hit them as consequently, all four of them collapse to the ground, writhing in pain from the sudden attack.
