•  cannot believe it took me this long to read this fic, because HELLO?? it's amazing!

• i cannot stress this enough: the depth of world-building and the thought put into the character's journeys is incredible. not only does the author flesh out district ten, which is relatively unknown from canon information, but they also take what we already know about district two and build on it in such a way that feels authentic.

• ptolemus and sage will steal your heart, make it burst, crush it and then repeat. love at sight can be a cheesy trope (to some) but when done right, you can bet that i'll EAT. IT. UP. and this book has a great example of that! their relationship is beautiful, free of petty drama as it is them against the rest of the world, really. it is refreshing to see how steadfast and committed their love is even from the beginning.

• and the writing is gorgeous, too! the descriptions are so vivid, the imagery can really connect you to a certain feeling or moment. all in all, i cannot stress this enough, READ THIS FIC!
