Third Person's P.O.V.

Taehyung was still awake when Jin fell asleep against him after tiring himself out with panic and constant sobs, before finally giving into his omega's need to nestle with his alpha. Jin seemed to be more moody and his emotions were more turbulent, the omega in him reacting in vengeance as it overpowered his human side. Little hiccups still shook his chest, his lips still quivering and Taehyung felt his concerns grow when he caught broken words of worry and complaint constantly spilling out of Jin's sleep-numbed mind.

And he found his own fingers caressing Jin's face, his mind lost in those troubling thoughts that made him stay awake...the most persistent thought being that for the first time in his life he felt like he was facing something he had no clue about how to win, and the worst was the thought that he might need help to win this, especially someone's whom he'd rather see erased out of his life.

His half brother had been a curse that had forever created issues in his life...and it made his trueblood rage within him to hear Jin say that there might be a possibility that being learned in the ancient languages, Jungkook was the only one who could probably find a solution to the horror fate had planned for them and their pup.
His hand gently went to rest on Jin's full belly, feeling his child growing stronger everyday as the divine spirit ensured its well being.

"You're not supposed to hurt him..." he wasn't sure who the words were meant for or was it just his fears taking shape into words, he felt his heart tighten at the thought of how the child he once wanted to make their bond stronger and the wish to see their heir as the future leader of Kleon might turn out to become a danger to everyone, especially his mate's life "to live as a weapon...to live only to follow orders is a fate I don't want you to go through...it's not a life anyone wishes for" his voice had an echo of memories long gone yet burning through his veins still "all that power...but I was still a mere dog on a leash."

The thought of trusting Jungkook to actually help them didn't really sit right with him, however with every passing minute he knew he didn't really have any other option as of now.

"I don't think it's going to work though...he will never help me" he sighed again, his mind filling up with memories of Jungkook's ever-long hatred for him.
Taehyung's arms coiled tighter around his mate as Jin mumbled in his sleep, nuzzling into the alpha's chest in his sleep.

"What're you talkin'bout?"

"Nothing" Taehyung sighed, gulping down the uneasy thoughts as he pushed his nose into his mate's soft fringes, dragging a long breath to calm himself down and caressed Jin's back in long sweeping draws "I'm just thinking out loud".

"Bout what?" Jin mumbled drowsily, eyes closed as he slept being nestled against the alpha.

"I will try to believe in Jimin because you do...and just try to believe that Jungkook will actually help us" he unmindfully pecked at Jin's brow, soft brown fringes tickling against his lips "for you, I will."

And Jin hugged him tighter knowing how much strength it must have needed Taehyung to finally agree to his wish, he was aware of the hatred between the two brothers, knew how conniving Jungkook could be...but this was probably their only chance at finding a way to save their pup and themselves.

So, when the news reached Taehyung that Jungkook was done with serving his punishment of public apology and instead of being exiled, was declared to stay under survelliance in the palace of Kleon, the trueblood decided to pay his brother a visit, leaving his omega in the North Gate castle.

Taehyung knew that things would be hard, he was expecting it to be so.

"What do you even mean? You want me to treat my pup the way Jin had been treated by his father?"

He frowned at Jimin as the omega told him about the pup destined to become Arcana's vessel and bring the wrath of the divine spirit upon them.

"We don't intend to hurt the pup" Yoongi spoke with a sigh, looking troubled for the first time that Taehyung could remember "but there is a possibility it might be true...you have to agree that your pup will be different from others, and I don't even know what kind of gifts he might be born with if he is a male omega...so we have to be prepared-" "Prepared? You mean treat my child like an enemy and not my own blood!?" Taehyung was snappy, his wolf on edge to even think anyone meant to harm his child.

"If Arcana could be kept sealed by a spell before...I'm sure it can be done again" Jimin spoke, voice calm as he joined in on the heavy discussion.

"I cannot allow you to do to my child what was done to Jin" the trueblood growled at the suggestion to use sorcery on his pup, and Jimin gulped to himself dropping his eyes to his hands feeling guilty thinking that he might have sounded too cruel to suggest such a thing to be done to an innocent child.

"There is a chance you might lose both of them if we do nothing and let Arcana do as it pleases."

The voice made Taehyung growl within, hairs standing on end as he saw Jungkook enter the room in a slow gait.

"What do you care anyway? Isn't me being miserable what you always wanted to see?"

"I indeed want to see that" Jungkook gave a lazy smile at that.

The room became tense, Yoongi already preparing to stop them from starting yet another fight right in the middle of an important discussion but Jungkook's words stopped him.

"But more than that...I don't want my land to be butchered by the vengeance of a god."

"Tell us what you know Jungkook...and how did you come to know about Arcana?" Yoongi implored, brow crimping as he tried to understand how it all began so that they could find a possible remedy.

Jungkook grew visibly quiet, eyes lowering to gaze at the floor in a daze.

"I read" his voice was a deep hum "I read everything because that was what I was good at."

Jimin watched him with knowing eyes, he had seen Jungkook spending sleepless nights being engrossed in scrolls and manuscripts and volumes of papers that had dog-eared edges due to their age. He could almost see Jungkook remembering the things that he had read, his mind a rumble of long-forgotten myths and valiant tales that had now become mere fables among the people.

"I read the lores and myths of all the five kingdoms...and realised there was an unique link that tied all of them together"

"All five kingdoms?" Yoongi frowned "you mean the lores of every kingdom are linked? How's that even possible?"

"Four of them talk about an invincible enemy" Jungkook informed, a heavy echo of understanding in his voice "and only one speaks of an immortal spirit being born of two infinite powers."

"You really want me to believe that those shitty old fairytales are real?!" Taehyung was beginning to lose his patience.
"Father knew about Eulan's myth."

Jungkook's words sent a shock through all of them, he picked his head up to stare straight at his brother.

"His real intentions were to make you the vessel for the spirit."

Taehyung's anger died a quick death as he too stared back wide-eyed at Jungkook, his voice a hush of confusion "wh-what?"

"I found the plans he had prepared before either of us were even born...he wanted to make the ultimate weapon for Kleon" their gazes remained on each other "but he stopped midway."

Taehyung frowned trying to understand.

"You were a trueblood...there was a chance that being invincible you'd stop following his commands, or would try to kill him" Jungkook gulped remembering the plans he had found, researches his father had done to learn how to keep not only a trueblood but one with godly powers under control "he had to find a way to put an end to you if you would ever try to go against him...he intended to find a way to kill the monster before he created it."

Something twisted inside Taehyung's gut, he had long ago learnt that to his father he had been a mere commodity to win wars but knowing this suddenly made it all feel even worse.

"So, why didn't he go on with the plan to make him a vessel?" Yoongi inquired being too engrossed into the matter.

"The only thing that can win against his trueblood alpha is Arcana" Jungkook sighed, while Taehyung felt his insides twist vehemently "it was while going through those that I learned that after about five more years he had to give up on that plan entirely because the spirit had already chosen a vessel-" "And that's how you learnt about Seokjin" Yoongi derived watching Jungkook give a small nod.

"That's how I made a plan of my own...but fate had begun playing it's game beyond our knowledge yet again" a side of Jungkook's mouth curled when he scoffed at how his plans had been ruined "and you ended up claiming the one who was meant to be the weapon to destroy you."

Taehyung stood up with a jolt, he wanted to tell him that they were sick and crazy! He had heard Jungkook say this so many times yet every time the words seemed to pierce into him with a force greater than before. He wanted to scream and curse! But he forced his aggression down before speaking "I'd rather be destroyed by him instead of being used as a mere weapon."

He was turning around to walk away.

"There's more though"

Taehyung halted, his mind instantly curious...so were Yoongi's and Jimin's.

"Father hadn't given up all hope though, because it was he who found a sorceress to help him understand about the spell that bound Arcana to the little male omega" Jungkook's voice was devoid of any emotion till now, however at the moment a sense of conflict appeared on his face as he relayed to them all that he had learned over the years "and that's how he found that...no one could break the seal that locked the spirit within Seokjin, except the command of a trueblood alpha."

The trueblood turned around in slow calculated movement, his mind beginning to get weary thinking what actually went through his father's head.

"Only you can free Arcana from the seal that traps it within your mate" Jungkook's voice had a haunting echo that made something icy pass through Taehyung's heart "but if you don't-" "Arcana will kill my mate and use my pup against me"
Taehyung completed that sentence.

"Actually" Jungkook's eyes were still locked on his brother as he gave the next information "it cannot take over the pup's body unless it is permitted...but an enraged spirit is a dangerous thing, it can try to harm Seokjin once the pup is born...it can imprison Seokjin within his own body and you'd be left with living with a mere shadow of your mate...he'd be alive but not really."

The silence that draped the room was palpable.

"A spirit needs permission to take a vessel, Seokjin's mother gave that permission for Arcana to take him as a vessel...but once permitted, a spirit has full control over its vessel...Arcana can use Seokjin as it wants."

"It's still bound to follow my commands...and I've seen Jin attain control over Arcana" Taehyung reminded remembering all those times he had successfully commanded his mate's unruly spirit.

"Do you know about the sorceress who gave your father the information?" Yoongi inquired trying to focus on finding a solution rather than becoming swamped with anxiousness.

"Yes, she's here at the palace" Jimin confirmed "though she has no memory of her life before she was brought to Kleon...I don't know if it's something the king did or was it something else...I tried to read her mind but since she has no memory it didn't really help."

The softer voice of the omega drew Jungkook's gaze, he remembered how Jimin had implored to him to help his brother and his mate, and how he had agreed to do so...in return for something else.

"It's that lady who talks crazy, isn't it?" Taehyung blurted remembering his encounter with her.

Jimin chuckled at that, being amused to see the scary trueblood complaining and grumbling but his attention was drawn to the cold glare Jungkook was giving him and had to bite his giggle down in the next moment to look more serious before he gave a nod to the Commander "yes, that was her."

He took a short peek at Jungkook again to see how the alpha had turned to look away now.

"So, she can create spells...or did she forget her sorcery too?"

"She might be able to prepare a spell to keep Arcana sealed within Seokjin" Jungkook spoke "but I don't know if she can do that without harming him. There's a reason the spirit must have chosen him...and the scary part is we don't know what."

"We don't even know what his omega is really capable of" Yoongi thought out loud "his gift of regeneration is a remarkable one! Arcana is violent and cruel...while his omega powers drives him to heal and protect, it's so hard to detect where his omega powers end and the spirits' powers overtake!"

"He isn't immortal but his body is immune to wounds" Jimin reminded them when Jungkook joined in, only to startle them further.

"Seokjin might not be immortal but Arcana has devised the perfect plan to ensure its intentions...the pup will be it's perfect vessel, and it will be invincible" Jungkook turned to his brother yet again "so it might be your only remedy for now, put a seal on your mate to ensure Arcana cannot force him to take on your child as its vessel...because once it breaks off of the seal that binds it within Seokjin, your commands might not work on Arcana anymore."

"I cannot allow spells to be used on Jin knowing there's no assurance that it will not hurt him in any way" Taehyung frowned at the words as a hush of concerns overtook their minds, Yoongi quietened down as well while he tried to search if there might be another option but couldn't.

"There is one other option but it isn't an easy one" Jimin's voice sounded heavy, his face hard as he spoke "and as an omega myself, I don't think I will be able to do it" he stared up at Taehyung to explain "Seokjin will probably hate me for even saying such a thing but..."

"What is it?" Yoongi turned, anxious eyes focusing on the omega.

Jungkook frowned turning towards Jimin, the only other option he knew about would be killing the pup before it's even born...which is quite impossible knowing the fact that Arcana wouldn't let that happen. He stared at Jimin trying to understand what he meant and saw the omega take a glance at him, his eyes unsure and worried as well and saw him turning away to look at his brother.

"Ensure that Arcana never gets to be around the pup" Jimin spoke in a shaky tone, gulping the distress in his heart to even suggest it.

The words made a chill run through Taehyung, who found himself speechlessly staring at Jimin and Yoongi could see how anxious and apprehensive the younger looked to hear that till anger replaced his shock and he was beginning to fume at Jimin.

"What the hell do you even mean by that?" Taehyung's anger boomed through the room, eyes filling with red rage as he glared at Jimin for even suggesting such a thing as killing his own child.

The trueblood's enraged voice had Jimin cowering, a shudder running through him when he saw Jungkook place himself by his side, the alpha's pheromones instantly making him feel a sense of safety.

"Calm down Taehyung, let him speak about what he means" Yoongi too came forward to stop the trueblood from throwing another enraged fit.

"No...I am not suggesting you to kill him" Jimin spoke reading the trueblood's thoughts "I am telling you to let Arcana think that the child is lost to you while you may send the baby somewhere away. That would still not solve the problem of Arcana trying to overtake Seokjin's body but if the pup is not around it will not have any reason to harm Seokjin to break off the seal."

"Send him away? Forever?" Taehyung sounded lost, his loud anger suddenly evaporating away. He was rendered speechless even by the mere thought of it, by the thought of how his mate was going to react to the suggestion and his heart felt tied into a stiff jumble with concern.

"Taehyung...I know everything seems to be going against you at the moment but you need to talk to Seokjin regarding this as soon as possible" Yoongi spoke, his voice heavy with concern as well.

Taehyung knew he needed to sit down and make Jin understand about everything, they didn't have much time either since Jin was already in the last month of his pregnancy and the pup would be born soon.

However, his anxiousness rose tenfold when he arrived at the camps to look over the soldiers only to learn that Jin had come there to oversee the recruiting of the omegas who intended to train to join the army.

"I'm not really doing anything" Jin assured to a fuming Taehyung who was angry that he'd come to the camps knowing how heavily pregnant he was and how he definitely needed to stay home and not move around so much.

"You weren't supposed to come here" Taehyung spoke through gritted teeth, cursing inwardly at the stubborn zeal of his omega.

"I thought you had grown out of the habit of saying that the camps are no place for me" Jin taunted Taehyung knowing it was him who had declared equal rights for all and that happened to be the reason that there were hundreds of omegas present today to be recruited in the army.

"I mean it is unsafe for you to be here" Taehyung rephrased the statement knowing Jin was actually taunting him "it was two days ago when you told me you were feeling sick at the camps because of too many pheromones around!"

Jin quietened down knowing how difficult it was for him to hold in the discomfort he was feeling currently but denied to say it out loud.

Although greater was the discomfort of the thought that his omega would try to overtake his senses the closer he'd get to the time of the pup's birth and Hayoon had told him not to fear about his ignorance in rearing the child because his inner omega would know what to do.

"Not to mention you smell hideous to everyone around as well" Hoseok spoke up, startling the two as they saw him approaching "the training is done for the day" he relayed the message, handing Jin a list of new omega recruits as he casually disregarded the fact that Taehyung was giving him a death glare for being the one who had brought Jin to the camps.

"I swear someday you'll end up losing your head by my hands fuckface" the Commander threatened through gritted teeth "I told you not to let him go to the camps because he feels sick-" "Oh come on...he's perfectly fine...look at him, he's handling the pregnancy way better than you are...your emotions seem to be all over the place!" Hoseok spoke gesturing towards Jin who was busy going through the list.

Over the months Jin had learned not to pay attention to their constant need to bicker.
"I am rather worried about you though" Hoseok sighed.

Taehyung's frown mellowed a little at the words as he stared at the General to understand what he meant to say...however the moment he heard what he had to say, it was instantly replaced with disgust yet again.

"You're such an insecure and demanding alpha, I wonder how you're gonna cope when the pup arrives and your omega wouldn't pay you any attention."

Taehyung was about to snap back at the other for being ridiculous always when Chen's voice drew his attention.

"Commander! A ship tracked at the horizon...by morning to approach the south port!"

Taehyung frowned at the news walking ahead to get the entire information as the other came running. Seokjin and Hoseok too followed behind him.

"Does it have a flag?" The trueblood's voice went low, his wolf instantly detecting the news as a call of threat.

"Yes sir" Chen heaved handing him a scroll "it has Eulan's flag on the high mast."

"Eulan's?" Jin came to stand by his alpha, his eyes more amazed than threatened.

"Arm the men and prepare the archers at the coastline" Taehyung commanded, stepping before his mate "but no one attacks till my orders."

"What?! Why would you prepare the archers?!! It might be noona or Namjoon you know?" Jin was walking to follow after Taehyung but direly failing, it was difficult for him to keep up with the Commander's hasty stride. His hand coiling over his belly as he felt breathless "please...don't let it be like last time Taehyung" his voice turned softer, a hint of plea laced in his words "I know noona will never attack us."

Taehyung halted to see Jin pouting at him, hurt written all over his mate's face as he judged the alpha's commands as rude towards Eulan's as well as his sister's integrity.

"Don't take your decisions based on your assumptions" Taehyung spoke walking back "you have to think like a leader now love, you must doubt every situation before you believe it as harmless because the responsibility of hundreds lie in your hands."

"But I know noona will never-" "Remember...actions speak louder than words" Taehyung leaned closer, hand involuntarily brushing against his mate's cheek "she once sent you to an unknown land without a word of warning, knowing what was going to happen to you...you may not want to believe it but she is just as devious as your father. Maybe she didn't do it by herself...but she neither stopped him, and sometimes a mere moments' silence can speak volumes."

Jin blinked up to see the stern look of knowing in Taehyung's gaze and despite all his complaints against the alpha's crude ways, he too knew that Taehyung wasn't wrong. His eyes filled with tears as he realised the truth and bit into his lip, mumbling out the words "I hate it when you're right...I can't even be angry with you when you say it like that."

"Because now you finally understand how you're tangled to my very soul...I would never plot something that could harm you" Taehyung spoke pecking at his mate's temple as he caressed his head to calm the unruly emotions Jin seemed to be troubled with "I know that I've been cruel before but all my decisions, even the hardest ones, were meant to protect".

Jin wouldn't openly acknowledge that, and there were also incidents for which he couldn't but be angry at the alpha at the time but he too knew that Taehyung had always kept the promise to be his armour...without fail, however it might be.

"Told ya...your emotions are all over the place Commander" Hoseok spoke, chuckling at the two but he checked his words earning a snarl and a scoff in return "well, who am I to complain...carry on".

Hoseok turned to walk away from the two only to see Yoongi riding into the camps, a smile instantly flashing over his lips.

"Joran's ship at the west bay" Yoongi declared denying to look at the other though and made Hoseok's smile drop.

Yoongi pulled his horse to a halt when Taehyung gave him the news "Eulan's ship in the south" his frown showed it well enough how utterly troubled he too was with the sudden news of these ships.

"What the hell is going on?" Hoseok spoke zapping back towards Taehyung who was even more taken aback with the new information.

"A ship at the eastern sea!" Another warning rang through the air as the informer notified loudly "Helion's flag at the high mast!"

Taehyung didn't wait a moment more as he hastily walked towards the troops "Chen! Gather up everyone and move immediately! We need to fortify the coast by midnight!"

The Commanders voice was loud as he ordered the men and Jin tried to follow after him, being equally concerned about what might actually be going on and why suddenly all the kingdoms had sent ships to Kleon?!

But his intentions stopped short as he felt pain shoot through him, his steps faltering as he shrieked wrapping his hands around himself.

"T-Taehyung?" Jin's words broke as the pain heightened making him lose the strength in his legs.

Taehyung was quick in his actions, the moment he sensed Jin in pain he ran back, grabbing at his mate before he could drop to the ground and hurt himself. He let his pheromones out to soothe his omega, however, that turned out to be a bane in return as Jin grunted in growing pain...his brown eyes flickering to blue as his omega tried to take over sensing the alpha's assuring presence.

"Take him home Taehyung...right now!" Yoongi ordered realising that Seokjin was probably going into labour.

"We were at the camps and everything was fine when he suddenly complained of being in pain so we had to bring him home" Hoseok spoke to Lady Hayoon looking troubled as he saw Taehyung giving him a death glare before they were hurrying to put Jin down on the bed.

Ha-yoon instantly got busy to check on a shuddering and whimpering Seokjin.

"Is he alright? Is it the pup or-" "Seems like his stress caused an abrupt contraction" Ha-yoon notified "he is going into labour."

"I have to go back to the camps" he spoke as if debating on the situation, knowing that he couldn't find the time to discuss with Jin what he intended to but this was an emergency...both his land and his mate might be in utter danger.

Ha-yoon could sense the difficulty Taehyuyng was facing to take a decision, concern and worry saturated on his face as he eyed his mate groaning on the bed.

"Did something happen?"

"Apparently there's three ships from Eulan, Joran and Helion heading to the coastline" Hoseok informed her "we don't know their intentions yet, so we have to be prepared for the worst."

Ha-yoon frowned as well "Eulan's ship? It might be his sister coming to visit him...Helion and Joran are our allies anyway-it's not like they can declare war with soldiers worth only three ships!"

"May be...may be not" Taehyung answered tersely, getting up to turn towards the door, walking in brisk steps to head out of his chambers "I cannot trust an enemy without being assured about their intentions...relations are foul things, even blood falters when there's a lot at stake."

"Why do you want to help him?"

The question made Jimin look up from where he was seated alone near the lotus pond. He saw Jungkook walking up to him, and realised it was a genuine query and the other wasn't trying to sound condescending.

"Why would I not?" Jimin spoke "he isn't my enemy-" "Neither is he your friend" Jungkook quipped "I can tell you surely that he doesn't consider you a friend...I know my brother, you betray his trust once and he will never put his faith on you again."

Jimin saw Jungkook take a seat by him, not taking his usual special seat that had been carved to suit his royal stature and it felt odd to Jimin to see the other like this...devoid of his loud arrogance and even louder disgust at all things below his grand status. His robes weren't the silk ones with gold worked embroideries but a simple black one and yet that didn't dull his charm even by a bit.

It was at least better that Jungkook had given up on his intention to kill himself, it did come at a price but Jimin felt assured that he wouldn't have to stay alive knowing that his existence came at the price of another's life yet again.

"I understand that and I don't blame him for his distrust on me" Jimin nodded, pulling his gaze back to gaze at the blooming bunch of lotus nimbly floating on the shimmering water "our apology has to be as loud as our fault, only then can it earn forgiveness."

"Well said" a smirk appeared on the alpha's lips as he too admired the flowers, there was a comfortable silence in between them before Jungkook was speaking again "you must be really eager to earn his trust...to agree to my condition without a question."

"It was only a condition I decided to agree to...it doesn't change anything between us though"

Jungkook went quiet at that, smirk fading to understand that Jimin was just as resilient in his way to deny any favour from him and was still constantly denying to acknowledge his intentions. But the condition he had put forth to Jimin's request to help Taehyung and Seokjin was a rather selfish one.

He would only help them if Jimin helped him to keep those loud voices and nightmares at bay.

"So, it is justified if I use you for my benefit...but not seek to save you?"

"You killing yourself wouldn't save me" Jimin replied without a hint of hesitation.

It was difficult to understand the omega, Jungkook had already come to understand that...but what was even more difficult was how stoic Jimin was in holding in his emotions from showing those on his face. Jungkook understood now how Jimin had held oceans of grief and fear within him without ever showing it on his face. He made pain look so normal, those pale blue eyes so calm that any onlooker would mistake it as his regular face and one could never guess that he was dying from within in trying to hold it all in.

And Jungkook had learnt over the years that if you cannot win over someone in your own way then you have to wait to let them show you how to win over them...he knew that the only other way to understand Jimin would be to let him understand him instead.

"I didn't tell him the entire thing..."

"I know" Jimin spoke "you forget that unlike others, I can read your mind"
Jungkook smiled to himself, knowing it already that the omega had peered into his mind to learn everything. His eyes moved to settle on the omega sitting by his side.

"The late king stopped his plan to make your brother as a vessel because he saw the old lore of Kleon" Jimin thought out loud.

"He feared Taehyung would become the monster that would destroy instead of protecting Kleon"

And Jimin could hear the heaviness seeping into his tone as he spoke the words.

"But you have heard so many times that he is destined to lead his land to fame...?" Jimin cleared "that is what his future holds."

"The future can change with a single decision Jimin" Jungkook spoke sighing "you and I both saw that happen, didn't we?"

Jimin nodded "it was his future to rule...but he made Seokjin the leader of Kleon."

"If he decides to let Arcana take him as a vessel to stop the spirit from hurting his mate and child...can you picture what will happen?"

Jimin gulped knowing no one had an answer to that...except for the time ahead.

It was hours later when Taehyung could finally get back home, his entire being tensed the whole time he had been away and the moment he entered North Gate castle, his steps hurriedly took him towards his mate.

"Lady Ha-yoon has been trying to help him but he won't allow anyone to come near" an attendant at the door to his chamber quietly informed Taehyung before he stepped inside. He could see how Jin had situated himself in the middle of a pile of his clothes, intentionally choosing the soft and the warm ones. His mother was trying to coax the omega to trust her as she meant him no harm while Jin hissed at her, electric blue eyes glaring at her.

But when in the very next moment those eyes zapped to settle on him, Taehyung saw all anger vanishing immediately as they turned teary and his omega mewled at him. Jin's voice had the call of need to be cared by his alpha and it didn't take Taehyung a second guess to understand what was happening.

"He's not angry, your scent is agitating him" Taehyung spoke to his mother as he walked nearer to where Jin was.

"I know, any scent other than his alpha's would agitate him right now and it's natural because he's nesting" she sighed watching the omega openly reach out for Taehyung, seeking his warmth and scent and care "a pregnant omega will begin to nest as they approach labour, he's preparing for the birth."

Taehyung sat on the bed and found Jin instantly pushing his body into his arms, his head digging into the side of his neck, nuzzling to catch his heavy musk as Jin whined to himself to let the alpha know how he had been missing him.

"His contractions have become slower for now" she spoke before she implored again "now will you eat something? You will need all the strength to help you through the birthing Seokjin-ah" she had been trying to coax him to eat something for hours now but with no luck. Instead the omega hissed at her again peeking from behind his alpha's shoulders, irate blue eyes threatening her to leave the room since her alpha pheromones made him detect her as a threat around the nest.

"Tell someone to bring his food...I'll see to it that he eats" Taehyung spoke to his mother while holding his mate back.

And the trueblood was thankful when Jin ate and could finally see him calming down as he fell asleep being depleted due to the contractions that made shudders and whimpers of pain rake through his omega.

He didn't intend to fall asleep because he actually had so many things to think about, to plan for reinforcements in case there was an attack in the morning but it just happened that his wolf denied to budge from its mate's side and eventually his body had given in to the fatigue.

It was in the middle of the night when Jin squirmed in the coil of his arms making Taehyung's sleep break and he held him a little tighter on instinct, not really intending to move from the comfort of having his omega safely tucked against him. He felt a shiver run through Jin and his trueblood got instantly alert as he sensed his mate's discomfort as Jin grunted and groaned in pain.

"H-Hurts...mhmghh...!" Jin flinched against the alpha and Taehhyung jolted up to take a look at the problem. His mother had said earlier that Jin seemed to be going into labour earlier than they had expected.

"What hurts?" Taehyung asked setting a palm at the side of his mate's face and realized how Jin's entire body was burning up, sweat blooming on his skin as he blinked rapidly "tell me what's wrong darling?"

"Hur-ts.." Jin pressed his eyes close cupping his big belly, his teeth gritting in pain before he choked and his body shuddered. Panic filled Taehyung as he thought that it might be the spirit trying to break off the seal to take control over both Jin and their pup. He saw Jin trying to get up from the bed, and tried to help not sure how to soothe his mate's current discomfort. But the moment Jin could stand up he looked startled as well as terrified and disgusted with his own situation.

"I th-think I just peed myself...?"

Taehyung was about to say that it wasn't an issue at all when he realized that in reality, Jin's water had just broken...and there was a high chance that their pup would be born by the end of the night.
