The next day Ladybug met up early with Spiderman and they were discussing their love lives. Both of them were having problems, so, they decided to practice what they would say to their partners and acting their respective partners to hopefully get the response they were looking for.

Chat arrived at the end of their role playing and heard, "I love you Ladybug" from Spiderman pretending to be Chat and Ladybug answering "I love you too, Chat". Unfortunately, Chat didn't stick around to hear the end, and missed the Chat bit of the conversation. Instead he poled away crying. He toured the city for about half an hour before deciding to go see Marinette. Marinette was home by the time he got to her place and was feeling a little better now she had talked with Spiderman about what to do.

Marinette did like Luka a lot, but she realised that she wanted Chat more than she did Luka. Not as much as Adrien but, she had given up on Adrien ever seeing her as a romantic interest. Chat she knew wanted her. It was Chat she now wanted and, not being able to be unfaithful to whomever she was going out with, decided to end it with Luka next time she saw him. She just hoped that they still could be friends afterwards as Luka was a beautiful person to be around, so gentle and calming, despite the occasional faux pax with words.

Marionette was unaware that Adrien had broken up with Kagami, she assumed that he was still going out with her. What she did know was that she had a very upset and broken kitty at her patio hutch when she was about to go to sleep. She was wearing a button up pair of short sleeved pajamas with her bra on underneath. She had been about to remove her bra ready to sleep when the kitty had knocked.

"Come in Kitty," Marinette invited him in, worried by the sadness of his expression, "Tell me what is wrong."

Chat came in and they went downstairs.

"Everything," he said brokenly, "My Lady loves Spiderman."

"That can't be true Chat!" Marinette answered, horrified by his conclusion.

"It is, I heard them confess to each other about half an hour ago!"

"But..." Marinette began to object to his mistaken idea, and then she remembered her role playing with Spiderman." Maybe it's not what you think. I am sure there's some explanation, if you asked Ladybug she would explain."

"I can't think of a good reason," he replied frankly, before asking in a somewhat fragile voice, "Look, I know you have a boyfriend Marinette, but could you please hold me just for a little while?"

He looked so dejected and broken that Marinette agreed. After hugging a while standing she started to get tired.

"Kitty," Marinette said gently, "I am getting tired; I have to go to sleep now," seeing him still looking fragile said, "You can stay if you want. If you want to transform there's a chat mask over there and a change of clothes here. I made them for Adrien for his birthday but thought it was a bit too personal a gift... So, I didn't end up giving him them. You look his size."

Adrien was surprised and pleased that he got to wear something Marinette had made him even if it was as his alter ego. He realised then, that Marinette didn't hate him, she was just so nervous around him.

"Thanks Marinette, could you please get some cheese for my spirit animal who helps me transform? He's called a kwami."

"Sure A..umm Chat!" Marinette replied as she disappeared to get cheese for Chats kwami. Tikki followed her.

"Get Camembert cheese Marionette" Tikki advised.

"Why Camembert Tikki?"

"Because that's what Plagg likes. You will probably have to keep it in stock now, as I am pretty sure that Chat will be back."

"But Chat knows I'm going out with Luka" Marinette objected to Tikki's suggestion.

"It won't matter," Tikki warned, "He won't be able to help himself. Call it a curse if you want, but I am telling you he won't be able to leave you alone now, no matter how hard he tries."

"Ok Tikki" Marinette said "I believe you... what I can't believe is that I almost called Chat Adrien...they are so different but amazingly the same. It's weird. Why can I chat to Chat, but not Adrien?"

Tikki just shook her head and wondered at the denseness of the two, well no matter, at least she got to see her partner after centuries without. She was rather looking forward to it.

Marinette brought back some quiches and cookies to eat with some juice along with the requested Camembert cheese, to find a slightly wet Chat exiting the bathroom shirtless.

Marinette went red and turned her head away as Chats body was amazing, almost amazing as Adrian's. "I- I brought us something to eat and drink before bed."

"Thanks Marinette" Chat said looking at her through the cat's mask Marinette had provided.

"W-will you be wearing a shirt?" She stuttered as it was really disturbing to see him like that.

"Not to sleep, no. I hope that it's ok, as I can't sleep with a shirt on, but I can wear one now if it would make you more comfortable," Adrien said seeing her discomfort.

"Please do" she squeaked.

So, Adrien complied, amused at how she can make so many different faces and colours and voices depending upon how she was feeling. "You can look now," he said as Marinette had closed her eyes in effort not to stare at his rather sexy body.

Marinette looked opening one eye first to check that he was indeed decent and then both. "Wow, that looks really good on you." She complimented him.

"Well, you made it so it should! Anything you make is amazing!" he returned her compliment to her.

Marinette blushed again, "Thanks Chat!" she replied, not knowing what else to say.

They munched contentedly on the food. Tikki remained hidden and Plagg ate his cheese noisily "This is great cheese Marinette. Thank you!" Plagg complimented her cheese choice.

"You're welcome Plagg. You can sleep here showing him the spot Tikki usually slept. There was more than enough room for the 2 kwami's Tikki just had to be careful not to show herself when Adrien was awake.

Marinette cleaned their mess away and climbed into her bed. Seeing Chat looking lost, "Are you coming Kitty?" She invited trusting him to be a gentleman, and to just sleep next to her. As she was inviting him, she decided to sleep with her bra on.

"Sure, princess!" and he scampered up next to her and removed his shirt before lying down.

He lay there awkwardly for a bit before asking, "Can I hug you please, Princess?"

Marinette who was almost asleep agreed and found herself being spooned by a very needy kitty, "You smell so good Marinette, like cookies and cream!" he said, before falling asleep himself.

The next morning, she woke to her top open and bra showing but squeezed up tight to Chat with their limbs intertwined and skin touching. Chat was clearly still asleep when he kissed her and said, "I love you Marinette, stay with me please?"

This confused her. "Chat said Marinette not Ladybug?" She extradited herself without waking the cat and did up her buttons wondering how she came to be like that.

Deciding not to worry about it, she got breakfast for them both. Her parents surprised that she was up so early and, at the rate she was going, would most likely be on time for school for once.

Chat was still asleep so she woke him up. "Chat! Wake up! I have breakfast for you!"

Adrien woke up, stretched like a cat, and smiled, "I had a purrrfect night's sleep thank you Princess! I have not slept so well since my mother disappeared."

"I'm glad Chat!" she smiled gently, "It was my best night sleep in a while myself."

"Purrrhaps I can sleep here again tonight? Would you please let me please Princess?" he begged her.

He looked so hopeful and happy that Marinette didn't have the heart to say "No" to him. "Alright Kitty, you can come again."

They ate breakfast and Chat went to her bathroom changed into his own clothes, and said, "Plagg, claws out" before returning to her. He kissed her goodbye on her cheek. "I would very much like to kiss you properly Marinette." Chat said in all seriousness.

Marinette responded by reaching up to her kitty hugging him and gave him the kiss he desired.

"Marinette, do you know what you are doing to me?" Chat asked, turned on by her simple move.

"No what Kitty?" she replied innocently.

"Never mind Princess, have a good day." Chat said as he disappeared back to his home to hurriedly change and head off to school.

Tikki appeared then and admonished Marinette, "Marinette! Did you forget what I said last night? You're just making it hard on yourself doing that with Chat and dating Luka!"

"I know! I know, Tikki! I don't know what I was thinking - it was like I couldn't help myself."

"You can't keep doing this Marinette - you need to choose." rebuked the tiny kwami of creation.

"Yes Tikki, let us go now!" as the pair headed to school.

Adrien walked into the classroom and saw Marinette sitting staring off into space with a dreamy smile on her face. "She's so adorable," he thought before greeting the girl, "Good morning Marinette!" he smiled.

Marinette shocked back to the present, returned his smile, and replied for the first time without stuttering, "Oh, hi, Good morning to you today Adrien! How are you?"

"Much better than yesterday," he replied, thinking that he would very much like to hug and kiss her as himself, not Chat...well as Chat would be good too, but not as nice as having her for himself.

"How's Kagami?" Marinette asked.

A look of confusion fell on his face...then he realised that as far as the class knew he was still going out with her.

"I don't know," he answered. "I broke up with her when I realised that I loved someone else. It wasn't fair on her to keep leading her on."

"Oh. I'm sorry. I hope that it works out for you," Marinette said with her usual niceness and concern. Marinette was surprised at herself, as she found she was not jealous at all of the person that Adrien loved. In fact, she was wishing him the best that it would work out for him, as he wished.

"I am hoping so too," he replied looking at her with love before sitting back down.
