Chapter 20

7 months later Marinette went into labour and had a beautiful baby boy called "Louis Felix Agreste"

His middle name was Felix, after Adrien's cousin, as Louis looked just like Felix when he was born, because Louis had inherited Marinette's bluebell eyes and everything else was like Adrien.

"Well that one has the stamp of the father," Alya commented looking at the delightful baby boy.

"Yes, he's just adorable!" Marinette agreed with her friend, "I can't wait to get him home. I just want to be home with Adrien again."

"What so you can go at it like rabbits again?" Joked Alya.

Marinette laughed at her friends playful attitude,  "That isn't going to happen for a while, I am too sore for that sort of activity. But it would be nice to sleep in my bed, in my husband's arms. These hospital beds are not designed for comfort."

"You got that right," agreed Alya, "I am surprised that you're not complaining about the food too."

"Its not that bad Alya," Marinette said diplomatically.

"Its not good either," Alya stated earning a chuckle out of Marinette. "So who has visited you?"

"Everyone, though between Adrien, Luka, Nino and you it's a wonder anyone else managed to visit. Mum and Dad would love to visit more but they can't leave the bakery long."

"Luka's been visiting?" Alya was surprised, as she could see how Luka felt about Marinette, everyone could.

"Yes, you would think it was his kid too with how he treats it. Adrien does nothing to discourage him either. Perhaps he wants him to be a Godfather?"

"No way, that job goes to Nino and I, well me as the Godmother not father..." Alya refuted the idea, laughing nervously.

"I understand what you meant," Marinette said as Louis started to cry. "Looks like its time to feed him. I hope I get the hang of feeding soon, I think that it's right and the nurse comes in and says that it isn't. Argh! It's so annoying, and my breasts feel like they are going to fall off. My nipples are starting to crack. I hate it. But then the baby starts feeding and its all good again."

Ayla laughed at Marinette's mini breakdown. "My mum said that she used nipple shields for the twins, it helped protect her from the nipple cracking, maybe you should give that ago or at least ask the nurse about it."

"I will" said Marinette and she did when the nurse came into check on her next.

The nurse also suggested expressing when she was feeling particularly full, so Adrien ended up buying Marinette a Machine to do this. It was a double edged sword for him, as when Marinette came home with the baby, he had to get up and feed her when Marinette was too tired.

They managed to get through the first two weeks like this, and school went back. Marinette's parents ended up babysitting the baby while they were at school. Every lunch break Marinette rode to the bakery to either feed or express, depending on Louis's wakefulness. Adrien or Alya would go with her to make sure she was safe.

Louis was about 2 months old, a happy, chubby and healthy baby, who had finally started sleeping through the night, when Adrien was summoned by his Father.

"Adrien, I am glad to see that you are managing to live as a adult well." Said Gabriel in his brutesque way, "I see you have been meeting all your bills with ease. It's time now for you to marry."

Adrian tried to interject here but he had no luck as Gabriel continued, "I have arranged a suitable marriage for you. You will marry Chloe Bourgeois in a month."

"No, I will not Father" said Adrien in a quiet, firm and exceedingly angry voice.

"You will do as I say!" Snapped Gabriel.

"I will NOT Father, there's no way possible that you can make me." Adrien continued, "Unless, of course, you want me to be known as a bigamist?"

"What do you mean?" Gabriel asked, he didn't know that Adrien had married, or even that he was a father.

"I am already married Father," Adrien said as gently as he could for the situation.

"Well then, we will have to get your marriage annulled." His Father snapped not liking that his son was defying his will.

Adrien laughed, "On what grounds Father? I am pretty sure that it's impossible to annul now."

"What do you mean?" Gabriel asked, suddenly fearful for his plans going astray, "Exactly how long have you been married?"

"My wife and I were both classed as adults when we married, we are both of sound mind and yes Father we have had sex. There's undeniable proof that we have. I am not leaving them for some business whim of yours! You can forget that! And to answer your question I've been married nearly a year." Adrien said sounding annoyed and respectful.

Gabriel felt faint by the suddenness of the news Adrien was delivering, and sat down. "Nearly a year? Who did you marry? And what do you mean by undeniable proof?"

"I married Marinette Dupain-Cheng the designer your hiring at the end of the year. She's made some pretty extraordinary maternity outfits and baby outfits too. She made the baby outfits for our son - Louis." Adrien replied with pride creeping into his voice.

"I'm a grandfather?" Gabriel struggled to come to terms with the idea. "Adrien, could you please bring your wife and child for me to meet? I understand if you don't want to, but I would like to meet them."

"Ok Father, but I am telling you now, I will not divorce Marinette and leave our child fatherless!" Said Adrien fiercely, making sure his father understood his view point, as his father often walked all over him previously.

"I understand," Gabriel said, "Please bring them to see me tomorrow."

"Fine Father! Goodbye Father." Adrien said as he left his father to contemplate the news he was given.

"Natalie!" Gabriel called out to his faithful adviser.

"Yes Gabriel?" Natalie said, as she hurried to his side.

"Withdraw all the marriage negotiations with the Bourgeois."

"May I ask why Sir?" Natalie asked, with her notebook and pen in hand.

"Apparently my son is already married with his own child." Gabriel sounded bemused by the idea.

"Adrien is married?" Natalie questioned, not quite believing what she had heard.

"So he says," said Gabriel, "I guess we will see the fruit of his choices tomorrow."

"Adrien is bringing his family here tomorrow?" Natalie was amazed. Given the father and sons relationship in the past, she was amazed Adrien would do something so reckless.

"Yes Natalie," Gabriel curtly nodded to her.

"Will you be ok, sir?" Natalie asked a crease of worry forming through habit.

"Yes Natalie, that will be all thank you." And Natalie bows and exits the office.

Gabriel, after thinking awhile got up and went and saw his wife telling her the news.
