It was already thirty minutes before the celebration at the Eiffel Tower, and Marinette was still shaken up by what had happened at school.

"I don't see why you won't tell me what's wrong!" Tikki pouted as Marinette paced back and forth in her room.

"I don't want to make a complete fool of myself...especially if Adrien changes his mind and shows up..." Marinette groaned and yanked her hair.

"Don't worry, you'll be fine. Besides! You won't be there as Marinette! You'll be there as Ladybug!"

"I hope you're right..." Marinette sighed, "let's get out there and have fun!"

"I like that idea!" Tikki nodded, then flew up next to Marinette.

"Okay! Tikki, spots on!" Marinette beamed, and Tikki was absorbed into her earring miraculous. After her transformation, she had her Ladybug outfit and mask on. She stepped out onto the roof of her house and threw her magic yoyo onto a different building rooftop, swinging out over the street, running, and jumping over rooftops to get to the Eiffel Tower.

Ladybug finally arrived and perched at the very top of the Eiffel Tower. The sun was just beginning to set, and she scanned the large crowd below her. She spotted Alya with Nino, Chloe with Sabrina, her parents, her teachers, the Mayor, stepped up security, but no Adrien. She let out a sigh of reelief knowing that she won't have to worry about making a complete fool of herself or being distracted.

"Who ya lookin' for?" Ladybug almost fell off the tower when a voice whispered behind her. She turned around suddenly and a hand grabbed her wrist before she could fall. When her heart rate returned to normal, she recognized the black mask, ears, and tail.

"Cat Noir! Geez, you scared me!"

"So, happy anniversary." Cat Noir smirked and winked as he pulled out a red rose and presented it to Ladybug.

"Aw, that's so thoughtful of you." Ladybug smiled as she accepted the rose. They both looked down at the crowd below them.

"We have a lot of fans." Ladybug smiled as people started noticing them.

Cat Noir took her hand, "You have a lot of fans. You're the champion, Ladybug."

"Why does that sound oddly familiar..." Ladybug whispered to herself.

"Did you say something?"

Ladybug waved her hands frantically, "No!"

"Look! It's Ladybug and Cat Noir!" Ladybug recognized the voice as Alya's, "oh! He just gave her a rose!"

"Are you sure they're not a thing?" Nino asked her.

"I'm pretty sure they're not, but they totally should be!" Alya squealed excitedly as she jumped up and down.

Ladybug looked at Cat Noir, and they grinned at each other.

"You ready, m' lady?" Cat Noir smiled.

"Definitely." Ladybug nodded as she squeezed his hand. They both flipped off the Eiffel Tower and free-fell down to where the crowd was waiting for them. At the last minute, Cat Noir wrapped his arms around Ladybug as she threw her magic yoyo back up to the Eiffel Tower and they swung around the tower a few rounds.

"Wow! They're everywhere!" Ladybug laughed. There were crowds of fans surrounding the tower for this celebration. Fireworks went off, and Ladybug and Cat Noir looked up at the astounding show. They finally swung down to the ground and tumbled into a roll when they hit the ground, then stood waving at the crowds.

"This is way better than I thought it'd be!" Ladybug laughed.

"Why? What'd you think it'd be?" Cat Noir asked, laughing. 

"Oh, I was expecting a villain or two, that's all."

"Don't be such a worry-bug!" Cat Noir patted her back as they continued to wave.

A figure stood at the top of the Eiffel Tower watching the enjoyment below him. He tapped his cane on the ground and chuckled sinisterly,

"Well, Ladybug...if it's a villain or two you're expecting, then it's a villain or two you'll get."
