Raven tenses her muscles.  "Shall we?"

Ariadne perks up.  "Ayo, let's go!!!"  They leap from roof to roof, until Ariadne suddenly stops.  "Hey, want to see my power?"

"What?!  No, don't-!!!"  Raven hisses, but it's too late.

Apparently, there isn't a clear soundtrack for that, so you'll have to start listening at 0:12 seconds, I guess!

"SPIDER-SHOCK!!!"  Ariadne shouts, and she stomps her foot down.  Shockwaves spread out from the impact, and everything around the duo freezes for a minute, and then resumes moving again.

"Neat, huh?"  Ariadne asks, grinning.

"That power could've been used to stop the villain long enough for me to subdue it!  I need to get close enough to destroy the infected object, and that Spider-Shock would've come in really handy!  Now I'll have to use my power, and we won't have a backup one!  Didn't you listen to anything your kwami told you?!!"

"I was really excited to become a hero, okay?!!  I'm sorry about that."

Raven nods.  "We've got five minutes before you change back.  I suggest that we stop that thing."  She leaps off the roof and lands lightly on the ground with a neat front-flip.

Ariadne hesitates, then shrugs and follows suit.  "You're the boss..!"

They hide in the shadows of an apartment building and observe the villain's rampage.  The villain is wearing a red, white, and black dress with a big ruffled collar and a bright red beehive hairdo.  She has ace, diamond, spade, heart, and club patterning on her face and dress, and she's carrying a jeweled box in one hand.  As the heroines watch, she approaches an intersection and starts to walk across the road, when a car nears her.  The driver leans out of the window and honks his horn at her impatiently.  She turns her head around and glares at him irritably.

"Uh-oh!  He shouldn't have done that..!"  Raven mutters.

Sure enough, the villain opens her jeweled box, whips out a razor-sharp, paper-like item and throws it at the man.  When it makes contact with his chest, he suddenly goes limp, and the object returns to her hand.

Ariadne gasps in horror.  "She took his heart?!!"

Ohh, I get it!  She must be the Queen of Hearts!"

"Well, that explains the getup, then."  Ariadne cracks her knuckles.  "So.  Are we taking her or not?"

"Technically, the driver was in the wrong, he had a red light."

Ariadne points mutely at the half-dozen other still forms in their cars.

Raven shrugs.  "It's Southwestern Ontario.  People around here are usually terrible at obeying traffic laws.     It's a wonder neither of us are crippled from some accident or another!"

"True..!  But we're still taking her down, right?"

"Naturally."  Raven points at the villain.  "Want to use your boomerang and get her attention?"

"Sure!"  Ariadne grins and pulls it out of its holster, then steps out of the shadows.  "Time to try out the new merchandise!"  She takes aim and throws it at the Queen of Hearts.  The boomerang hits the villain square in the back of the head, and Ariadne pumps her fist.  "YES!!!  First try!"  She then yelps as it returns and hits her on her head.  "OW!"  Okay, I'll remember to catch it next time..."

The villain turns around and sees them.  "You dare to throw things at me?!!  How rude!  How heartless..!"  She reaches into her box, and Raven shoves Ariadne out of the way.

"LOOK OUT!!!"  The lady in purple draws her swords and slashes two projectiles out of the air with lightning speed.  They fall to the ground and morph back into harmless tissues.  Raven stares at them.  "No, it can't be..!"  She mutters.

"Okay, she knows we're here..!  Now what?!!"  Ariadne screams.

"You're going to be the bait.  Just distract her long enough for me to get close to her."

Ariadne salutes.  "Aye-aye, Cap'n!  I'm told that I can be very distracting."  She jumps on top of a car and yells at the top of her lungs.  "HEY QUEENIE!!!  COME AND GET ME!!!"

The Queen screams in frustration and throws more of her transformed tissues, and Ariadne deflects them with her boomerang whilst shouting questionable insults at her.

Meanwhile, Raven sneaks around the warring duo, using cars and shadows to her advantage.  She comes up behind the Queen and is just about to use her power when Ariadne suddenly yells out.  "Yeah!  Go, Raven!!!"

The Queen of Hearts whirls around.  "Hogyan mered?!"  (How do you dare?!)

Raven is in utter shock.  "Anyuka?!!"  (Mother?!!)

The Queen lunges for her, but Raven has the presence of mind to quickly shout out:

"REPLICATION! SPIDER-SHOCK!!!"  She stamps her foot down, and four translucent lime green spider legs appear behind her, then fade after a couple of moments as the shockwaves freeze the Queen.  

Raven calmly draws a sword and slices the jewel box neatly in half.  A little pink worm wriggles out and burrows into the soil at their feet, and the box reverts back into a tissue box.  The Queen's costume melts off, revealing a very exhausted Kat's mother.

"Are you alright, Mo- Er!  Ma'am?"  Raven asks.

Her mother glances up at her but doesn't recognize her.  "Yes, thank you.  Why are you dressed like a purple bird?"

Ariadne jumps off of the car she's on.  The driver gives her an annoyed look and honks his horn at her.  She waves him off.  "-'Cause that's what heroes do!  Plus, that way nobody knows who we really are."  She winks at Kat's mom conspiratorially.

"Ariadne, your circlet's flashing!  You'd better go!"

Ariadne salutes.  "Until next time, Partner!"  She runs off with a whoop.

Raven waves goodbye and turns to her mother.  "You know, if you're upset, it helps to talk to an understanding family member.'  She says tactfully.

"My daughter wanted to help, but I was just so upset.."

"I'm sure that everything will work out.  Be brave and have faith.  Can you find your way back home from here, Ma'am?"

"Yes.  Thank you..?"

"Raven.  And that was Ariadne."  Raven smiles as her belt buckle flashes.  "It seems that I must depart as well.  Goodbye, citizen!"  She quickly dashes off and detransforms a minute later in a dark alleyway.  She catches a tired but happy Tokka in her hands as the kwami reappears.

"Well done, Kat!  Or should I say, Raven?"  Tokka giggles.

Kat laughs.  "Let's get you home so that you can eat."  She ruffles the little kwami's head feathers affectionately.

"Okay!  I have something that I have to tell you, anyways."  Kat gives her a suspicious look, but doesn't say anything.

-At Kat and Storm's respective houses-

Their kwamis tell them that the Worm Miraculous can sense negative emotions, and that's when it can transform civilians.

Storm stops Gayle.  "Wait.  Do you mean to tell me that we'll have to do this.."

"..Every single time someone gets angry or upset.."  Kat continues.

"In a Canadian city?!!"  Both exclaim at once.

"Sweet cheese!"  Storm mutters.

"Hoo-boy..!"  Kat grumbles.
