Why- The Perfect Twin
"Another akuma, another day closer we are to finding Hu-Die !"
The blonde boldly announced to her companions. A boy with red hair and ice blue eyes looked at her confused as he looked through his wrist.
"We aren't even close to finding him or her, Buggie. And besides these akumas are keeping us in the wrong direction." The boy replied monotonously as he pointed to his miraculous. He was known as Chien to everyone in Paris and was one of the fellow members on Miraculous alongside the blunette. Yet the girl was actually not called Buggie to Paris. Rather it was an insult since she humiliated him by calling him Rouge. Personally, she didn't quite understand how his feelings were hurt that day.
"Well, Chien if you could stop barking at Ladybug, maybe you could remember that you almost revealed yourself and endangered your family."
The girl who spoke rarely had a mischievous grin on her face in satisfaction about her come back to Chien. She was known to be Blanc Renard as she had a white costume instead of the previous ones who had an orange or reddish color.
In the end, through all the constant arguments, their final warning towards their miraculous gave them a sigh of relief to the blunette who tried to break it down.
She used her yo-yo to swing her near her parents' house. As she detransformed into herself, she had a bright smile as she embraced her tiny kwami.
"Emma! The school project at Charlie's home? Remember, it was the only day you could meet with him, Nial, and Julia. " The tiny kwami squeaked as she went into the blonde's purse.
The blunette's eyed slowly widened as she started running all the way across Paris to the most luxurious hotel in her city. She promised Charlie that he would not have to do her work again. He and she were on good terms yet he reminded her of Chien based on his attitude. But before, he was the sweetest person she ever knew. Until his father's death changed him, and his mother tries to show him that there is still light in their lives.
When she finally ran to his room in the Bourgeois private hall with private access only with being accompanied by a butler. Yet with her rushing, she just ended up running without one. In a small accident, she instead bumped into a short blonde girl who had instead turquoise eyes than Charlie's ice blue eyes. She recognized it was his younger sister, Charlotte, who seemed to always have a bright smile.
"Emma! I am so sorry for bumping into you! Normally I am not really clumsy." The smaller blonde looked anxious as she picked up her sketch pad. Her drawing skills were beautiful, as told by her brothers. Yet Emma wished to see them, but she was extra private with them recently.
"It's fine, Lotte, anyways I have to go to Char's room." Emma smiled as she waved a goodbye to her as she knocked on Charlie's door. The door slowly opened to reveal a beautiful deluxe luxurious bedroom, that almost none unless they were like her papa to buy one.
"Oh, Em you are kinda late, again." Charlie sheepishly explained in his cold voice. Despite looking like his dad, his eyes proved that he was more like his mother. He would warm up to her since they known each other since they were tots but the others he still is trying to.
"Emmie, you got to be early, keep this up, and your diploma is gonna award you for most tardies. And someone did win that, by the way! Like 24 years ago! You are getting close to her record soon!" The boy who had a baseball cap with a plaid jacket around his waistline with a concerned look. His name was Nial, or rather he was a son of her parents' friends. He looked out for her and she also looked out for him.
"I am on time, first of all! It's ...." The girl checked the clock on Charlie's wall and saw she was fifteen minutes late. "Oh for the love of cheese." Emma mumbled as she crossed her arms and found a seat near Julia. She had a bright smile on as she played around with her medium length blonde hair. Well if you could call in that, as like Emma's aunt, Juleka she had purple highlights. And almost to the point, you couldn't see she had blonde hair.
"Hey, AC! I was wondering when you will come in. Ni and Harlie were fighting. Y'know since forever." Julia replied as she smiled at her cousin. AC was a nickname given to Emma when she always replied to her last names. It was strange, but not as strange as her habit of naturally being able to bake any sweets or bread. As she did so often with Auntie Sabine and Uncle Tom.
"We don't fight, Jules, it's a mutual hate we have since childhood. Char has been always on my toes." Nial replies as he pouted giving a wink at Charlie.
"Yup! Now let's focus on finishing our project before we do something else!" Charlie replied sarcastically as he stretched his arms.
So then the two fifteen-year-olds and two sixteen-year-olds began to work on their History project for Ms.Lee's class. While also goofing about everything and sometimes misplacing their facts. But when they were finished they all ended up eating pizza and finally ready to leave to their respective homes.
But when Emma entered the elevator, she didn't expect she would ever see Chloe Bourgeois...without a butler or maid. Her auntie apparently had changed a lot since she last saw her at her husband's funeral. Her bright cold blue eyes were now replaced with a loss of awe and were duller. And her always trendy outfits, now were a plain black tee with yellow sweatpants.
When Chloe finally noticed Emma, her cold look turned into a smile as she began talking.
"Emma, it's been a while since I last saw you. I swear you always remind me of HER." She emphasized on her part as she controlled her sobs.
"Likewise, and I heard that you and dad are partnering up for an exclusive fashion line for the former miraculous team. I would really like some Chat Noir clothing or maybe Ladybug." Emma cheerfully said as she began nervously digging through her purse to find cookies she stashed for Tikki.
At the mention of Ladybug, Chloe's smile faded as she clasped Emma's hands. "Your mother is so proud of you." Chloe dropped in out of nowhere as she had tears in her eyes as she brought Emma close to her as she hugged her.
Emma had a puzzled expression since her mother or rather her and Louis's mother were never quite spoken often. Though already she knew her sister, Adele had been originally adopted. Due to the fact, her fathers told her that they wanted another child.
"Okay...au revoir, Mrs.Kurtzburg, see you soon!" Emma exclaimed as she got out of the awkward hug to run out to the streets. It looked like it was about 19:00(7:00)and the night sky twinkled with stars.
She opened her small bag to reveal Tikki giving a small smile as she flew up to give Emma a hug. Emma smiled as she began walking the familiar path to her parents' mansion.
"Was that Chloe Bourgeois?" The tiny kwami asked as she began nibbling on Emma's few last cookies.
Emma was confused how the kwami knew Auntie Chloe, since she rarely did mention her and she hadn't been in public for three years, and she only had become Ladybug, almost two years ago.
Emma just nodded her head and the two began chatting about the project. Soon enough, they realized it was curfew, since Emma forgot to check her phone. So she raced to her mansion, finding a familiar face in the shadows.
"You are breaking curfew too? I never thought goody-two-shoes would ever think of breaking the rules." A boy with the same green eyes as her own met hers. He had blue hair with a face that anybody would want.
"Louis, I am not like what you think I am doing! I just did a school project! While you were perhaps were trying to romance, Lydia! Honestly, you deserve to get grounded!" Emma exclaimed as she frowned at her twin.
For her, it was a betrayal from Louis when they were 12. Hormones had dragged them both apart and made her mad at him. Emma was rather closer to Adele than her own twin brother.
"Whatever, sis. We both know we are gonna try to get into our windows. And dad and papa are gonna be there with a stern look." Louis barely explained as he glanced at his phone.
"Why you-, you are not even worth it. And I am smarter than you!" Emma cried out as she walked along the pavement furiously as she knocked on the door.
"Emma, you are finally home. Charlie let us know, that you were walking and might come late. But do you know were Louis is?" Luka, her father asked as he kissed her head.
"The usual around here. Louis being late on purpose. And being flirty with a girl." Emma was frustrated and crossed her arms to show her disdain towards her brother.
"Ah, he gets that from your dad, and a bit of stubbornness from your birth mom," Luka explained as he glanced at a furious Adrien dragging Louis by the collar.
"Luka! Our son of ours is keeping on going off curfew. And this time, I think we don't stick with the usual grounding. We need to discipline him, and teach him that he needs to study instead of running around Paris." Adrien explained as his face was boiling red with anger.
Luka held Emma's hand gently, as he whispered her to go to her room. Emma then kissed his cheek, and Adrien's before saying a good night.
But Emma wanted to listen in on the conversation. So she stayed against the wall near the stairs to eavesdrop on their conversation.
"Whatever, Emma was late too! And you just let her go! You are the worst parents in the world!" Louis fired back with his bored look.
"Well, at least Emma had to do a school project, and not running around doing childish things!" Adrien protested as he gave Louis a stern look.
"Well, calm down you two. Louis, we need to discipline you, but we will come with an agreement by tomorrow morning. Now please go to bed, you have school tomorrow." Luka calmly explained as he rolled his eyes at Adrien.
Louis growled as he went climbing up the stairs to his room. Emma quickly went into her room and dove putting her covers on. When he went to his room, Emma heard a loud thud and looked at his door.
Emma wished her brother would be himself like he was a few years back. But she wished she knew how to help him become a better person.
Luka and Adrien muttered something in the hallway as they hugged a sleepy Adele to bed. She was tired from all the noise and was still much like a child.
"Good night, Emma!" Tikki called out as Emma slept in her bed without changing into her pajamas. She held Tikki closer to her as her dreams filled with fighting akumas.
