On Christmas Eve, Marionette had finally mustered up the courage to tell Adrien how she'd felt about him. When he accepted her felings, she revealed to him that she was Ladybug. Adrien had revealed to her that he was Chat Noir. Four years later, when Marionette was 21 and Adrien was 22, they got married. The next year, they had a son they named James. The year after that they had a daughter named Maria. The same year Maria was born, Alya and Nino had twins named Allison and Benjamin. Lila finally got over not having Adrien to herself and married Nathenial. She and Nath had a son named Alex, then twins named Nico and Bianca. Chloe got married to somebody else, had a son named Clovis, then divorced, taking Clovis with her. Alix and Kim's daughter's name is Nichole. Sabrina and Max's daughter's name is Lucy.

Now, let's start this story!

Maria was born with something not right in her right leg. It had been twisted, and, so far, no brace has worked yet. Meaning that she had to use crutches. And be more careful than others. And, usually later than her mother on her way to school, making James, Benjamin, and Allison, who all refused to leave her while she was walking to school, late as well. At least her brother and her friends had a choice. 

Today was another year of school, which so happened to also be the anniversary of the first sighting of Ladybug and Chat Noir. Nobody knew that the hero and the heroine were still right under their noses, not even Alya, Nino, or their kids, let alone Maria and James. 

They still live in the bakery their grandmother, Sabine, and grandfather, Tom, raised their mother, Marionette, in. Although, the house that their father, Adrien, was raised In had more room, their father wanted to stay as far away from his father's manor. 

The alarm finally went off, but Maria was already awake. She was slipping on the cover for her twisted leg when it started beeping. Maria grabbed one of her crutches and used it to turn the alarm off. Finally dressed, she grabbed her other crutch and lifted off. She didn't have the room that her mother had used, due to needing to climb to get to it, so it was used as storage. However, all the furniture, minus the the bedstand, was in Maria's room. Her mother and father used Sabine and Tom's bedroom, while James used the bedroom across from their parent's room. Maria's was located across from the bathroom. 

Maria finally touched base in the bakery, which was crowded with people in morning rush. Her brother jumped the last two steps and landed next to her. Allison and Benjamin were waiting outside, as always. James cut through the lines, saying "excuse me" and "sorry" and "just passing through" and things like that as he went. He joined Allie and Ben outside. But, that wasn't as easy for Mari as it was James or any other person. Her mother finally caught sight of her and helped her get through the crowd. "Be careful going up the stairs to your classroom, and try to stay on Clovis's good side. It was easier for me to rebel against his mother, but, for you, I'm not so sure..." Maria's mother told her as she slipped here and James's lunch into her backpack. "Oh! And Lila is back in Paris. I'm glad that Nathenial is back, too, but their children are joining your school. I hope that they won't be as bad as Lila, due to their father being Nathenial, but let's not get our hopes up before we meet them, hm?" Her mother added as Maria stepped out the door. "Alright, maman! I know. You and papa have a nice day!" Maria said, letting the door swing to a close behind her. Maria turned her head to see her mother's back facing her, walking back to the corner. Then she turned her head around again to face her friends and brother. "Your lunch is in my backpack, James." Maria informed them as they started towards school.

On their way, they passed an old homeless man. Nobody was stopping to give him anything, even though it was getting colder and colder everyday. Maria stopped and sat down on a bench. Her brother nor her friends realized this. They knew she hardly stopped for anything, due to her always being late no matter how early she got up. Maria opened her backpack up and grabbed her lunch bag out. She felt eyes peering at her from the old man's direction, but he was busy being teased by a few kids that went to a different school. Maria closed her bag and put it back on her back. She grabbed up her crutches and the punch bag. This old man needed it more than she did. As she walked up, the boys grabbed the hat that the man had. The man stumbled as he tried to grab it. The kids laughed as the man fell. When they saw Maria coming, they started acting scared. Maria sent a death glare at them and grabbed the empty hat. The bells from the schools rang, causing the boys to run. Maria watched them leave, then turned her attention to the old man on the floor. He was busy picking up the few quarters and dimes that he had. The man was wearing some kind of red Hawaiian shirt, tan kackies, and a pair of grey sandals. Of course he is... Maria thought with and inward groan. 

She attempted to help the man up, but she was only a lite stronger than what he was. As she struggled, she didn't notice that somebody had walked up next to her and began to help. She looked up and glared at a blonde haired boy. "Go away. You just hurt this man." She said, slapping his hand away. The boy jumped back and looked up. He had jade green eyes. "What? No, I was on my way to school when I saw you struggling to help him." He said, gesturing to the man who Maria was still struggling on helping. "Uh huh. Nice try. Where's your friends, Johnathan?" She said flatly, addressing him as the leader of those mean kids. "Uh... You mean him?" The boy asked, pointing across the street. Johnathan and his friends were glaring at Maria, probably waiting until she was gone to attack the man again. "My name is Nico." The boy added, helping Maria lift the man up. Maria frowned. "Sorry. Mines Maria." She said, keeping the boy's eyes on her while she secrectly shoved her lunch into the old man's bag. "Nice to meet you." Nico said. Neither said their last names or any other information about each other. While Maria didn't quite trust this boy, Nico didnt want to say who his parents were. Nobody here in Paris liked his mother other than Mayor Chloe and his father. He looked at the man and gave him his jacket and walked away. Both the old man and Maria watched him leave in slight shock. "Young Lady, you should go with that boy to your school. You are late for helping me!" The man said, pushing her on her way. She didn't notice him putting her lunch back her bag, let alone the hexagonal box in her dark grey handbag. "It was worth the trouble." Maria told him as she walked away.

While she walked away, the man smiled. He had managed to toss Chat Noir's ring in Nico's bag, and Ladybug's earrings in Maria's. The man still had to return Nico's jacket, but, for right now, he needed to go to his salon before it started to snow. However, he decided to play helpless a few minutes longer when he noticed the bullies crossing the street. Long story short: Wayzz, his fomer Kwamii,  hand flew out of Ben's bag and stayed hidden near the old man, scared the life out of the kids, said goodbye to his former master, and flew back to Ben, who had been waiting outside the school for his Kwamii. That's right, this old man was Master Fu. 

He had slightly nodded his head to Allison and Benjamin to keep moving forwards. Who he had wanted was Maria. They had slightly nodded and kept walking. The reason why the did that: because during summer vacation, Alya and Nino had taken their kids to Italy for a while. In Italy, Master Fu had been there, looking for people who were moving to Paris, France soon, or visiting from Paris, France. Well, he had found Allie and Ben. Allison left Italty wearing a "cheap" fox tail necklace for a Suvinour, while Ben walked away with a "cheap" turtle bracelet. In Italy, the next Volpina and Jaded Turtle had been chosen. Master Fu still had Paon/Paonne Ble's, Papillion/Papilloma's, and Queen/King Bee's Miraculouses to give out, but now the next Chat Noir and Ladybug were chosen. However, things will not go as planned with Chat's ring and Ladybug's earrings. What could possibly happen to make Minou Noir instead of Chat Noir, and Coccineus instead of Ladybug?
