Kuro Neko (Episode rant)
I'm finally catching up on miraculous episodes! I still have a few episodes to go, but I'm almost watched all of season four episodes
Anyway...this of course will contain spoilers to this episode, so if you haven't seen it don't read
I'm sorry, but I hate this episode the most out of any right now.
First it goes off as the news covering a fight that didn't have chat noir in it.
Ladybug states something on the lines of: We will forever be able save Paris with or Without Chat noir.
Which of course hurts Adrien.
This deeply upset me.
This is the show saying that Chat Noir is not an important member of the team as now
Ladybug and them are defeating the akuma's/ amok's without him entirely.
I don't blame Adrien for giving up his miraculous after this because this is downright cruel on the creators part. At this point how are Ladybug and Chat Noir partners if he doesn't always fight by her side since she's been calling the others as of late.
Marinette actions in this episode made me outraged.
The first point being that she actually thought of choosing a new Chat Noir holder. Like, no if you truly cared about him you wouldn't even think to get a new Chat Noir.
Being the main lead doesn't mean to treat your partner as if there an object. I'm not exaggerating because she's been choosing to leave him out of fights ever since season for started basically. There are a few moments they fight together, but it doesn't feel like much anymore. I get it that Ladybug doesn't love Chat Noir as she said, but that doesn't give her the right to ghost him or to leave him behind. There partners after all to the end.
Why can she handle Luka still loving her better than Chat Noir? The only thing that comes to mind is that Luka and Marinette did date, but still. She herself said it was awkward, but she still managed.
Adrien/Chat Noir deserves more respect and affection.
Let him have a moment to shine dammit.
Anyway, where was I.
Oh yeah,
I hate Plagg's idea of changing Adrien's Chat Noir persona to someone that fits how he believes Ladybug would want in a partner.
I love Plagg I really do and I'm not upset with him, no not at all he was trying his best. I more or so hate the idea that Marinette is okay with having a replacement.
Here's the rundown of my thought process.
What I hate is how quickly Adrien's mind changed to being Chat Noir after that. Like boy you don't need to change yourself to please others all the damn time. The fact that he wasn't even the slightest bit angry that Ladybug had actually thought of replacing him in the first place. I know he's a sweetheart, but having it confirmed that Ladybug didn't care would be heartbreaking. I know that Ladybug doesn't downright hate him, but with Adrien's own self-doubt and insecurities this would've been his thought process as she didn't take long thinking on what she should do to replace him. I know there wasn't a new guy, but the thought that she was okay with replacing him would of hurt like hell. Adrien is a human being to, his feelings are valid. He deserves to feel sad as this would've hurt anyone. He should of been more assured about his place in team in this episode with all of the knifes to the back he got. Boy really deserves more hugs.
Adrien shouldn't have to change himself.
But he did and Ladybug believed that the new Chat Noir wasn't him.
What should've happened in the first place was that Adrien shouldn't have had to change anything about his Chat Noir persona. And she should've just let Plagg go find the previous owner (which he had,) but she should of knowing that is what occurred. I say this because she shouldn't have even thought of replacing Chat Noir. Sorry, but this hurt a lot. That she thought about replacing him as a partner. I just don't think that the new Chat Nor persona should've exist.
Now to the akuma fight where the 'New Chat Noir' (Adrien's different persona)
I absolutely hated the whole thing.
With his new persona, Ladybug throughout kept calling him perfect, but never once told Chat Noir that he was perfect. The only response that disappointed her about the new persona is that he didn't laugh at the start, but the rest of the time she thought he was awesome. Ladybug even called him Charming. Which he was, but this didn't feel right as this persona wasn't entirely him. Well him, but more of him as Adrien which kinda condrict some of my points, but Still even as Adrien he's always known to be the cat-pun loving guy. Without the puns it isn't the same. Adrien and Chat Noir are one in the same person and I agree with Plagg saying that you can't have both without the other. It's just Ladybug didn't show much sadness about losing what she known to be the old Chat Noir.
Adrien ends up being able to do Cat-puns again, but this whole episode was just unnecessary. Makes it feel like Chat Noir isn't important anymore. Chat Noir is being treated as a side character even more.
Thought they were supposed to be partners..
Not to mention the fact that Ladybug mistakes the amok for Chat Noir, I just .... Didn't like it, as she kept saying she knew Chat Noir more than anyone, but lately it doesn't feel like it as they don't have heart to heart moments anymore.
After All this has happened Ladybug dares to say that Chat Noir is irreplaceable!
Which of course he is, but I think Chat Noir deserves a proper apology for being left in the dark
Also, for the fact that they don't talk about the fact that she tried to replace him even if it was with himself.
That just bothers me, sorry if I'm being dramatic as the 'new guy' was still Adrien...
This just didn't feel right to me.
