Ema/Kitty Noir's Pov

Kidbug and I were out patrolling when I saw Cat, about to get hit by a car and before I even thought about acting I jumped down from the roof and safely got Cat off of the street. "Kitty, what was that about?" My sister asked confused, she mustn't have seen the car.

"She was about to get hit by a car, so my cat instincts kick in" I smirked as I looked at Cat for a reaction but she was frozen.

Cat was completely still as she stared to where the car once was, the soft wind slowly blowing through the standing hair on her arms.

Her parents, I realised. Her parents died in the car crash, my heart dropped as I looked at her. "Cat are you okay?"

"It's Cathryn-Ann" she snapped, "And I'm fine." I was taken back but before I reply to Cat she spoke again, "Yeah, I'm fine."

KidBug looked at Cat and me, I could see she was suspicious of her whenever Adriana was thinking her face always scrunched into a ball as her natural permanent blush deepened. Cat was acting weird, to say the least, but she was also almost hit by a car so I couldn't blame her for being so.

When Cat left I asked Kid if I could follow her instead, luckily she said yes.

At Cat's House

I was sitting outside of Cat's window when I heard arguing, it sounded like Cat's voice and an older man's voice, maybe it's her uncles. "Where were you?" I heard the voice ask. "Cathryn answer me!"

"Nowhere, I just went for a walk."

"Go to your room!" the voice yelled as I saw Cat run to her room.

I debated whether or not I soon make myself seen, I couldn't help but feel that Cat didn't like Kitty Noir and I didn't want to force her to think otherwise. Though it turned out that Ema wasn't the one who was going to have to make that decision, "What are you doing here!" Cat yelled at me as she opened her window.

"That's a good question," I said as I rugged the back of my neck, "I wanted to check on you, are you okay?"

Cat tried pushing me off her window but I didn't move, she sighed, "I'm fine, you can go now."

"Wait, what you that with your uncle?"

"It's nothing, he is just a little protective."

I winked at her, "Okay I will go now," she rolled her eyes and closed her windows, her white curtains closing shortly after.

When I got home I got Plagg some cheese then went back to doing homework, because of all of this hero stuff I hardly get any me time and school doesn't help with that either. I don't know how Adriana does it. "Your girlfriend sure hates you," Plagg said while bitting into his cheese.

"I don't think that's it, maybe it was just bad timing." But what if it wasn't bad timing? What if she really did hate me, hate superheroes? I don't know, I should ask her tomorrow. "Goodnight Plagg."

"Night Kidten." That nickname, I hate it but it is cute.

The Next Day At School

"Hi guys," I said as I walked up to Cat and Paige.

I looked over to Cat, she seems to be lost in her own world, maybe she was think about Kitty Noir or maybe about how she had also gotten hit by a car the night before, even one it was I was concerned for her.

"Hey," Paige said as she waved towards me, Cat turning to face me with a smile.

"So I have been wondering about the new heroes, what do you guys think about them?"

Paige smiled, "I think their awesome!"

"I don't know. How can I? It's not like we know them, so how can anyone trust them?" Cat explained and as I thought about it, I realised, she had a point. How could anyone trust Adriana and I?

I guess I'm just going to have to visit my cat from now on.
