It all began innocently enough. Adrien arrived at Marinette's cozy apartment, bearing a bouquet of roses. He had planned a romantic evening, complete with candlelight and soft music. But as soon as he stepped inside, he sensed something was amiss.

As he entered her room, he noticed Marinette sitting on the couch, wrapped in a fuzzy blanket, her face scrunched up in pain and exhaustion. Tikki, hovered nearby, concern etched on her tiny face.

"Marinette," he said softly, "are you okay?"

She glanced up, her eyes tired as she winced, clutching her abdomen, "It's my period."

His eyes widened. "Your... period?"

Tikki chimed in, "It's a natural process, Adrien. Happens to most girls."

Adrien blinked. He had heard about periods, of course, but he didn't know much about them.

"But why didn't anyone tell me about this?" Adrien whispered, feeling utterly clueless.

"Well-" Tikki was interrupted by Plagg, who was grinning mischievously. "Ah, the great Cat Noir, defeated by a menstrual cycle!"

Adrien and Tikki shot him a glare. "Plagg, this is serious!" both screamed at the tiny God of Destruction in unison.

Marinette's mood swung from irritation to amusement. "Adrien, it's not that bad. Just... painful."

"Marinette," he said gently, "is there anything I can do? Should I call someone? Get you anything?"

She shook her head. "No, Adrien. It's just... painful. And emotional. But thank you for being here."

He sat down beside her, unsure of what to say. "I'm sorry you're going through this. Is there anything that helps?"

She leaned against him, her eyes softening. "You're sweet, Adrien."

Plagg, floated above them. "Sweet? More like adorably clueless."

Tikki shot him a stern look. "Plagg, show some compassion."

Adrien ignored the kwami's banter, focusing on Marinette. "Tell me what you need."

Marinette managed a small smile. "Chocolate. And maybe a warm blanket."

Adrien nodded, determined to make her feel better. He fetched her favorite chocolate from the kitchen downstairs and wrapped her in a cozy blanket. As he handed her the treat, he realized how little he knew about this aspect of life.

"Marinette," he began tentatively, "I want to understand. Can you tell me more about... this?"

She blushed but pacified his curiosity. "It's a natural process, Adrien. Every month, my body prepares for the possibility of pregnancy. When it doesn't happen, I get my period. It can be uncomfortable, but it's part of being a woman."

He listened intently, feeling guilty for not knowing this. "I'm sorry I didn't know much about this before... to be honest my father... he never told me these things and..."

Marinette squeezed his hand. "It's okay. You're learning now. And your kindness means a lot."

Adrien stayed by her side, watching movies and sharing stories. He learned about cramps, mood swings, and the importance of empathy.

As the day turned into evening, he realized that this was a different kind of heroism—one that required compassion and patience.

"Marinette," Adrien said softly, "you don't have to pretend you're fine. I can see how uncomfortable you are."

She managed a weak smile. "It's just my period, Adrien. It happens every month."

He nodded, trying to grasp the gravity of it all. "I know, I just wish there was something I could do for you M'lady."

Marinette shifted, wincing. "You're already doing it kitty— by being here. Most guys would run away."

"What does it feel like?"

She leaned against his shoulder. "Imagine your insides twisting, like a cat tangled in yarn. Cramps come in waves, stealing your breath. And your emotions? They're on a roller coaster—happy one moment, tearful the next."

He frowned. "And there's no miraculous cure?"

Marinette chuckled weakly. "Not this time, kitty. But chocolate helps. And warmth."

Adrien's face lit up, "In that case M'lady I will be right back."

Adrien quickly ran down the stairs and fetched her a large bar of Dark Chocolate and wrapped her in the softest blanket he could find.

As they sat together, he listened to her stories—the time she'd stained her favorite dress during a school presentation, the embarrassment of asking a teacher for a bathroom pass, and the camaraderie among girls in the restroom during 'that time of the month.'

"M'lady," he said, "you're stronger than any akuma. Facing this every month takes courage."

She blushed. "It's not bravery; it's survival. But thank you."

Adrien wondered about its unfairness. Why did women endure this pain? As he walked home that day, he vowed to learn more and be a better partner. So he researched—reading articles, watching videos, and even asking Nathalie about it.

By next month Adrien had completely understood the hormonal game of periods. He even mastered the art of discreetly passing her a tampon during class.

"Adrien," Marinette said as the latter brought her a chocolate bar, "you've become an expert on periods."

He grinned, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "Well, I'm Cat Noir. Research is my purrwer."

She rolled her eyes.

He took her hand and pulled her closer. "But my real superpower is understanding you, and supporting you in your life's endeavors, M'lady."

Marinette leaned her head against Adrien, "That is my superpower too, Kitty."
