Spots vs Claws Part 2 by Summer Cheng@SummerCheng37 (LukaZoe)
I wrote this while dealing with a headache, and head cold. I made sure to make this fact known in case the storyline sounds choppy. -Summer
Luka's POV:
I shook hands with the pretty specimen before me. Yes, I am a bit of a science nerd and did not work in a lab. I used to be a science professor.
I smiled at her. I knew she was my type. It would take some persuading for her to see that. "You and I are going to get along just fine, Zoe Lee," I stated. I noticed she blushed a little. Cute.
"Well, I am not sure about that, Luka, but I do know that you will learn the ropes soon enough," She said. "The ropes, is there a secret circus around the corner or something?" I joked.
I could tell she was not amused by how she rolled her eyes. I watched her show me where the dogs were contained, followed by the cats. I was glad there were not any snakes. I had been freaked out by the sight of them ever since I was five, and one almost bit me.
"Do you have any questions?" she asked. "Yes, what is your phone number?" I asked. She rolled her eyes once more. "I meant questions about the job," she said. "I knew that," I scoffed. She scowled.
I worked with the cats. She walked away, "I will leave you to it then," She remarked. I waved at her staring at the way her shirk rode up as she walked off, Wow, she is stunning, I thought. I better be careful around that hot girl.
Too bad, I can't mixture work with pleasure. I got back to taking care of the felines. I was almost done when I heard someone yelling.
Great, now? I hid behind one of the great Danes and called for the transformation. Soon, my catsuit covered me from head to toe.
As I fought the villain, I hoped my lovely coworker wasn't in danger. Soon a girl in a spotted suit appeared. Strange, she looked familiar. "Have we met before?" I asked. "Not that I know about, kitty," She snapped. "Kitty, I like it," I said. "You would be a flirt," She said. She rolled her eyes. She reminded me of someone, but who?
I fought the crook, and she did the same. "Stop being a copycat," She spat out. "I am not, I was here first, spotted princess," I responded. "Spotted princess, ha, I am hardly a princess, and the name is Ladybug," She stated.
Soon, she turned against me by tying me up. "What was that for?" I asked angrily. "For getting in my way. I am the hero around here," She remarked. "Hero, what but I am the hero," I said. "Hardly, this is my turf, so you will leave town if you know what's good for you," She scoffed.
The villain split into fourths. One untied me. The others took turns flirting with Ladybug and me. "Come on kitty, you know you want me," One villain smirked. "yes, you mine, cat," another one said. "Ladybug be mine," The third one growled. "No can do," Ladybug said. She leapt away.
I leaped after her. Soon, I fought off two villains who caught up to us. One fell off the building and the crooks were back to one. Pretty strange, I thought. The last crook ran off. She turned to me. "This is all your fault, if you hadn't distracted me, he would not have gotten away," She scowled.
"Listen, let's be friends, partners, even," I pleaded with her. "No can do, kitty," She said. I pulled her close and kissed her. Some funny moth flew off followed by more. She caught them and to my amazement fixed everything.
"I will be your partner, on one condition, kitty," She said. "Oh, and what might that condition be exactly, Ladybug ?" I asked. "That you don't kiss another girl, I get jealous," She smirked. "Oh, so do I," I said. With that, she left leaving me standing there speechless. One hot chick in a day is tough enough, but two in one day, oh boy.
I changed back. I returned to work with the cats as soon as I could. I looked up to see my luscious, I meant pretty, coworker glancing at me. "Luka, you are alright, thank goodness." She said. She hugged me. It was then, I knew she had been worried about me. "Yes, you are too, by the looks of it," I said. I noticed she winced.
She turned to go, and I gasped. It was then, that I saw a small gash on her left foot. "What happened to you?" I asked. "It is nothing," she said. "Nothing, you are hurt," I said. I felt a tear fall from my eye. Strangely, I had not cried in years. Not since my ex dumped me.
I petted a cat. Then I came to check on her. I took a close look at her foot. I shook my head. "You should not walk on it like that," I said. I wrapped it up, then, carried her despite her protest to the nearest clinic.
The doctor came out a few minutes later. "Your friend, has a sprain, but she will be better soon enough," He said. "Thanks, doctor," I said.
I took her home. I did not tell her I peaked at her records to find the address. I made sure she got inside alright and insisted on helping her. "No you go home," she protested. "I might be an ex-science professor, but I am also a nurse," I explained. "A nurse, but you work with the cats at the shelter," She said. "Yes, that I do, but I am still a nurse. At least, I was back in Italy before she left me." I said.
"Oh, I am sorry, " Zoe said. "Don't be, if it had not been for her dumping me, I might not have met you," I said.
I lifted her chin, glancing into her lovely eyes. She did not look away. "L-Luka, what are you?" She asked. "Shh," I said placing my thumb near her lip. She nodded that pretty little head of hers.
I walked away before I could kiss her. Maybe someday, I will, but not yet. I have to be sure she feels the same. I can't be sure yet. For that matter, I am conflicted. I like Zoe, but I like Ladybug too. How is a guy to choose between two gorgeous women?
