THAT DAY.
Authors P.O.V.
The sky is a miraculous hue, while the sun shone out; giving a gold like frame on the morning sky. The birds chatter while the wind whistle a tune giving a smoothing effect for the Parisian. But that wasn't the only sound made.
"Ahhhh!" The sleepy teen screamed falling of her chair while her dog Tikki licks her porcelain skin.
"Ma-...man!" Marinette giggles, rolling on her side as her dog pepper her with kisses.
"Tikki, stop please!" She wailed tears trickling down like rain on a Sunday morning.
"Woof, hea hea, woof!" Tikki howled licking her in the process once again.
There was a click and someone entered the bedroom.
"Oh, your up." Sabine, her mom, said poking her head through the trapdoor.
"Yes...." Marinette said breathless from all the squirming and laughing.
Soon Tikki got a scent....a scent of something....sweet. She launched towards the kitchen as if there was a raid at the Paw Chow Building.
"Marinette, its time to go!" Tom, her dad, called looking at the clock impatiently.
"Coming!" She shouts back, fixing her hair.
"You're lucky I woke you up to get ready earlier." Sabine called out.
"Well we are Team Lucky." Tom joked gaining a groan from Marinette.
"And aren't you as fresh as a daisy." He then whispered in her ear.
"What's the secret?"
"Floral shampoo."
"Oh."
"Yes, thanks Maman bye." I said giving a peck on her cheeks.
"Love you." Both Tom and Marinette said in unison.
Before darting out of the bakery. Excited for the upcoming events. Sabine stood there looking at the x-ed out days and the calendar around a number is a circle sloppily drawn listing the event that alone got half of the family hyped. Father And Child Fishing Comp. Was written neatly on the paper.
She then picked up her phone.
"Cesaire...." Sabine started.
"Yeah Sab."
"Invite the girls."
"Wait...omg is it....we're on our way."
Meanwhile...

Marinette watched as Tikki stuck her tongue out of her mouth. Nearly half of her body out of the vehicle. Tom was whistling a tune ,that only they understands, while driving.
He continued to whistle when at a certain note Tikki howled startling the occupants. A pregnant pause passed and then you heard laugher from Tom, Marinette soon joined on after.
The ride to the spot stemming to fast at every turn. They could hear the music chanting a tune so tom spoke up.
"What are we?" He asked waiting for her to catch on.
"We're Team Lucky!" She screamed giggling at how enthusiastic she was.
"Woof!"
"And what's our goal?"
"To have fun!"
"And..." He stretched out the word parking on the sandy lot.
"To be a good sport." Tom gaved her a hug before they entered the competition admiring how the place was form just for this special occasion.
Marinette saw her friends Alya and her dad as well as Nino with his little brother. Last time marinette talked to him he said that they might not make it.
The father must of wanted his kids to at least come. She thought remembering the age to assign is 8+.
"Okay guys." The announcer spoke.
"Go towards the shore and lets see if you can beat our champion."
"Team Lucky!" Claps and whoops swirled around and Marinette hugged her father tightly afraid that he will disintegrate in the air.
Marinette remembered that day really clearly......
It was a Saturday just like this. Marinette walked with papa holding my hand.
I looked at how the place looked. Besides being the shore packed with people. And there's some shed that are fill with fishing utensils.
I then stared at the scenery. There is the ocean blue that burst into aqua in a distance. There is a rundown lighthouse which many said is haunted. But realised that's was Ms. Mandelieve hang out spot. Everyone instantly stopped thinking about going there and I giggled. The trees and hills looked lively and soft to roll on.
The announcer pressed the horn and everyone set off. Adrien and I was in the lead was on front as well as Alya, Nino, Chloe, Alix, Kim and surprisingly Max.
And yes somehow Chloe would be more kind on that day. Which is another reason why many love this holiday.
I was an meter away from the boat until I tripped. Adrien as well as my father grabbed me at once Adrien giving me a smile before darting off.
. . .
"Marinette quick." Papa said throwing a fish at me. The radar ping once again on our boat signaling another catch.
We were at our two hundred and fifty-fifth fish and I threw the previous one back into the water. The radar ping signaling that it was our...256th fish.
Then we heard it. A shrill scream that sounds like it was seething through hell.
"Papa, look!" I pointed towards two people on a boat. One is struggling to raise the boy. And the other is having a hard time coming out....like its being dragged by something....
"The current...." Papa muttered but I didn't pay much attention. She didn't even realised that she was rowing the boat until they were side by side.
Papa instantly went for his hand pulling him upward but failing. By then time he was about to give his all, four dads came helping pulling up the boy.
Once they were successful everyone started to part ways. But then something dreadful happened.
With the rush of water papa missed step his foot and fell onto the current. I subconsciously grabbed his arm not willing to let go. Slowly the boat was tipping over water washing unto the boat. Something devastating happened.... His hand slipped.
"PAPA!!" And with that I leaned over preparing to dive when someone's hand rested on her shoulders.
"Don't worry Marinette.... We'll prepare a search party for him just wait on the shore."
They simply declared that I is the winner since I caught a blunt load of fish. The Agreste down by one.
Moments passed like centuries. Marinette sat on the sand along with Alya. Crying. That was until the males came back. And they weren't alone.
"Oh my petite macaron."

"Marinette, you know what this means." Tom said giving his daughter a smirk.
"Yes, papa...."
"And I'm not losing you again."
The End!
