Find out the answers to these questions and more in...The Alternate Time Zone 101.
Felix Graham De Vanily's POV:
I was late to school again. By school, I mean the most popular college in Paris, France. It was known as College de France, or by some College de Paris.
Anyway, I was behind and I could not face another tardy. Too many tardies and I could be thrown off the college team. I could bear that humiliation. Not to mention the detention lady, Miss Genevieve K. Hickson, was extremely strict. She was a stickler for rules.
I smiled as I entered the classroom unscathed. I sat in my usual seat up front. I noticed the gasps for the girls behind me. I ignored them. There was only one girl on my mind, Bridgette Janet Lillian Dupain-Cheng. I had not seen her in years. She was my friend, no best friend back in eighth grade. I often wondered, what had become of her.
I sighed. I saw a new girl enter the room and blinked twice. Who was she? She wore a bright red hoodie with black spots, a red skirt that matched the hoodie, red socks, and black boots.
I listened closely as she introduced herself. "Hi, I am new here, but I used to live here once. I have stayed in China with my Aunt Sabine and Uncle Tom for the last few years. I moved here recently for college because my aunt and uncle say this is the best college in Paris, perhaps, even in the world." She said. I felt my face flush at her words. She sounded familiar. Could it be?
"What is your name?" The teacher asked. She sounded harsh and displeased with the girl. "I am Bridgette Janet Lillian Dupain-Cheng, the cousin of Marinette Dupain-Cheng, but you all can call me Bridgette. My friends call me Bri, or Bree." She said. I could not believe it, my best friend was back. No wonder, her voice sounded so familiar. "Miss Bridgette Dupain-Cheng, you may take a seat up front to the right of Felix," The teacher announced. "Felix? You mean, Felix Graham De Vanily, my childhood best friend?" Bridgette asked. I saw her eyes widen in surprise. "I was not aware of that information, but yes, go be seated now," The teacher said.
Bridgette slid into the seat next to mine. I watched in amazement as she pulled out a few pens, a notepad, a highlighter, a small assignment pad, and a sketchbook. I smiled as the teacher rambled on about gnats. I pretended to be fastened with the assignment but was distracted by the attractive girl beside me. Wait, what? Since when had I thought of her in that way?
Time skip brought to you by the kwami's.
After school, I stood up as soon as the bell rang. I recalled how Bridgette had sat next to me in most of my classes, and across from me during lunch. During my cricket ball practice, she had sat on the bleachers and watched me. I blushed.
I exited the building and was about to walk down the stairs when she approached me. By she, I mean the rudest stuck-up girl in the entire school, Margerrie Mellicinte Jones II. "Hi, Felli," She said. "What do you want, Margerrie?" I asked. I shoved her hands away from me. I did not want her grimy hands touching me. I had seen her making out with another boy earlier that day. Girls like her disgusted me. I detested such a girl. "Funny, you should ask, Felli," She said as she twirled her blonde hair. She tried to seduce me, but I did not fall for it. "Ew, go away!" I yelled at her.
"Hi, Felix!" Bridgette said. She glared at the other girl. "Hey, Margerrie, didn't I see you lock your lips with Jefferson Pete Jameson III, in science class?" She blurted out. She saw Margerrie's face turn beet red. "So, what? I can have any boys I want, I am the principal's daughter, and I rule this school," Margerrie scoffed. "I don't think so, boys are not your pets or tools for you to use any way you please, now go get your nails done. I thought I saw a crack in one of them earlier, you better hurry," Bridgette retorted. "What? A crack in my nails," Margerrie whined as she walked away.
I laughed. I knew Bridgette had made that up about Margerri's nails, but knowing how vain the girl is about them did the trick. It got her off my back for the moment. Thank goodness.
"Thanks, Bri," I said. "You are welcome, Felix," She said. I could hear her voice lower a bit as she spoke to me. "You need not be shy, we are best friends," I replied. "Yes, best friends," She said with a sigh. "You know you remind me of someone," I said. "Oh, and who might that be?" She asked. "Probably, you, since I was wondering how you were doing and suddenly you arrived," I said. "Awe, you were thinking about me, that is so sweet, Felix," She said.
I rolled my eyes. Leave, it to a girl to get the wrong idea. "You seeing anyone?" She asked. "No," I said. "Me either," She said. This caught me completely off guard. "A pretty girl like you is still single? Why?" I asked. "It is probably because the right guy has not asked me yet," She said. "Oh, is that a fact?" I asked. "Yes," She said. I reached up and pulled the hood off her head. I gasped when I saw her once-long hair reach to her shoulders. "You cut off your hair," I said. "Yes, it was a mess, and I felt like having a new look. I did start over after years under my relative's roof. Marinette stayed back in China, but I haven't the slightest idea, why." She said.
Bridgette smirked when she saw me staring at her. It was almost like she was pleased. She leaned over and placed her hands on my shoulders. "Still think, I am the perfect best friend, material?" She asked. Her voice softened as she spoke. "No, you are the perfect girlfriend, material, " I answered. I saw her face turn pink. "Beautiful," I whispered. I placed a hand on her face. "Bri," I whispered. "F-Felix," She stuttered. I leaned in and she did the same.
We were about to kiss when boom... Ugh, why now, I thought. I was about to find out if her kisses were as good as the rumors from overseas said. I hoped to find out soon if I was the boy she liked.
I ran off and she did the same.
"Plagg, claws out!" I said. Soon, I transformed into Chat Noir. I went to fight the villain and saw a recruit show up. She was gorgeous and I blushed. The girl wore a red spandex suit with black spots, a red mask, and red boots, and her hair was pulled back into a nice bun. Who was the girl behind the mask?
The two of us fought and we won! I smirked as she threw her lucky charm into the air. It was a fan, and the damage was fixed."Miraculous ladybug!" I admitted that was the first time I had seen such a thing. The fan had blown the akumantized object out of the villain's grasp. She caught the akuma and purified it. I fist-bumped with her.
After this, she pulled me closer and I gasped. I had no idea what her intentions were towards me. I felt her lips brush against mine and knew I was in trouble. Her kiss was magical. I kissed her and felt my world grow better. "Ladybug," I muttered against her lips. "Chat, I ..." She started to say. "I know, and I feel the same," I said. "You do?"She asked. "Yes," I said. "What a relief," She said and kissed me again. She pulled away and saw me blushing. "See you soon, hot cat," She said. With that, she left. I smirked as I saw her leave.
Later, I was at home, when the bell rang. I answered it since I had destransformed minutes ago, and saw Bridgette standing there. What brought her here? "Hi, Bridgette," I said. I noticed tears form, "What is wrong?" I asked. "Felix, you are okay, thank goodness," She said. I could tell by her speech she had been worried about me. "Yes, and so are you, I see," I said.
I saw her stand near the wall and put my hands on the wall on both sides of her. "Felix, what are you?" She asked. "Shh, Bri," I whispered. I kissed her. She moaned and slowly kissed me. She put her hands on my chest. "Felix," She whispered my name. "Yes, Bri," I said. "I love you," She said. "I love you too," I said. I knew at that moment, I meant it.
The end...
