Telling Gabriel by Summer Cheng (@SummerCheng37)

Description

In this story, Emilie De Vanily has a crush. She has no idea why she has not told him yet. Perhaps she will today.  Does he return her feelings?

  Read to find out.

Emilie's POV:

 I arrived at the school.

I saw my best friend, Nathalie in the hallway.

I had told her about my crush.

"Emilie, are you going to tell him?"

"Yes, Nathalie, I am going to tell him," Emilie said.

   "When?"

"Today, I am going to right now."

"In that case, hope it goes well for you," Nathalie remarked.

"Thanks."

"Your welcome, now there he goes," Nathalie said.

I looked where she pointed and saw him about to enter the design class. I smiled as I walked up to him. Go on ahead, Emilie you can to this, I thought.

"Hi, G-Gabriel," great there I go stuttering again.

"Hi, Emilie," Gabriel answered.

"Gabriel, I was wondering, see the winter ball is coming soon and I was hoping maybe you and I could go to it." Emilie began.

"You and me to the winter ball," Gabriel stated.

"Yes," Emilie said.

"I would be glad to go with you, I will pick you up at 5 pm," Gabriel told her.

"Okay, see you at 5 pm on December 15," Emilie replied.

"Sure, it is a date, see ya," Gabriel said, adjusting his glasses as he smiled at her. He opened the door and entered the design class. He could not believe it, the cutest girl in school who was also his crush had just asked him out. Yes.

Time skip to later that day

"How did  it go, girl?" Nathalie wanted to know.

"Splendid, he said yes to going to the winter ball!" Emilie squealed.

"Wow, that's great," Nathalie said. She was happy for her best friend and Gabriel. She might be a tiny bit jealous since she had a crush on Gabriel but she did not let on because she did not want to get in the way of Gabriel and Emilie's happiness.

         "I know right," Emilie said.

Nathalie and Emilie discussed the dress they might wear to the dance.  The entire time Nahalie knew she would go alone.  "Nathalie you should ask that guy over there to go with you," Emilie said.

    "What guy?" Nathalie asked.

"The guy over there by the water fountain, I saw him checking you out earlier," Emilie told her.

      " He was?"

"Yes, so go get him, tiger," Emilie said.

Nathalie stood up, brushed a few bread crumbs from lunch off her skirt, and approached the boy.

         "Hi, how are you?"

       "Great, how are you, Nathalie?"

"I am great too," She said.

"I am Pete, and well, are you going with anyone to the December 15, ball?"

"No, I have no date," Nathalie answered. She looked at her shoes when she spoke. She hated this she was horrible at speaking to boys. It was no wonder Gabriel had noticed Emilie instead of her.  Well, at least Pete seemed to like her.

"Hmm, that is too bad. Hey, say you want to go with me?"

"Sure, I will be glad too, Pete," Nathalie answered. She stood on her tiptoes and cheesed his cheek.

"Great, I will be by at 5:15 pm," Pete responded.

"Sounds good, I will wear a blue dress," Nathalie said.

"Blue, that should look good on you, I bet it will match your cute hair and dashing eyes," Pete winked at her. He saw her blush. He went back to work.

                    "Well?"

"Pete asked me to the ball!" Nathalie exclaimed.

"See, told you he liked you."

               "Thanks, Emilie," Nathalie said.

"Sure, tiger, glad to help, " Emilie said.

Time skip one last time. Now it is the day of the ball.

Gabriel has already picked up Emilie. The two arrive at the school in plenty of time for the dance. After them, the others arrive, but Peter and Nathalie are nowhere in sight. Emilie starts to worry, but Gabriel reassures her they are stuck in traffic or something.

A few minutes later, Pete and Nathalie arrive at the ball. Emilie breathes a sigh of relief.

The girls and boys pair up for the dance. Pete dances with Nathalie, Gabriel with Emilie, Joe with Helen, Henry with Heather, Leon with Allie, and so on.

Towards the end, Gabriel kisses Emillie. Nathalie sees them together and tries hard not to be jealous. She is with Pete. Yet the tears still fall.

Pete sees Nathalie cry. He realizes it is because she is watching Gabriel and Emilie kiss. He holds Nathalie's left hand and lifts it to his lips. He brushes a tear away. He brings her some punch. They sit at a table and talk. Soon, Nathalie smiles. Pete grins.

     The end...

Until the next, Miraculous one-shot story,

bye-bye, little owlets!

Summer out!
