Description: Max is in the Navy. He finds out he is to enter a submarine.  He writes a letter to Alix.

  Alix's  POV:
   

  "Whoa, you are kidding?"  

   I cannot believe it. Max in a sub. He is claustrophobic.   

   I panic as I think that he might be seasick.

  "Alix, what is the fuss about anyway?"  

 "I got a letter from Max, and he is in the Navy."

   Alix's sister takes a look at the note. "Oh, dear, that is a shame."

    I  see my sister roll her eyes as she walks away.

   A few weeks go by with Alix full of worry about Max's well-being.

   Alix writes Max a letter.  Max receives it a few days later. 

      Max's POV:

     "It took me a while to get used to the idea, but now it does not seem so bad."

        "I am glad that my time here will be over soon."

        I smile as I think about it.

...Two days later, Max leaves the submarine to return home.

      Max's  POV:

       I  cannot wait to see her, my Alix.

       I arrive at the station in no time.

      "Hi, Max!"

     I turn around at the familiar voice.

      "Hi, Alix!"

   I  notice she is not alone.

   I frown.

It seems she has gone and forgotten all about me.

 "Who on earth is that anyway?"

    "Max, it is alright.  It is my cousin."

      I glare at the boy with envy. Cousin, my foot, then why is he looking at her in that way?

     I  hug Alix close to my chest with tears in my eyes.

    I  hear her say, "Max, oh, Max."

    I  kiss her.

   To my surprise, she kisses me back.

    Turns out I was worried about nothing.

    I was not submarined after all.

    Alix's cousin looks on with a smile.

    He always knew Alix and Max were great together.
