Description

  He knew it was risky, but it was a risk he was willing to take. He was about to do something no Agreste had ever done before, which was all for love. 

Adrien's  POV
 

He sneaked in after dark. He still had nightmares about the place. The former times as a patient in the facility stirred up bad memories. 

  Memories he would rather stay in the past.  

He broke into the place as a rescue mission.

He called it operation release.

He intended to get her out and go.

Go as if his life depended on it.

He crept over to the window and threw the rock.  He heard the shatter of glass.

  It was only a manner of time before the alarm went off.  He better make this fast.

 He had no second chances. 

   He could not afford to make any mistakes.

    He climbed into the room and tapped her shoulder.

   "Adrien?"

"Yes, I am here, Marinette, now let's go."

He saw her sit up in confusion.

"Why are you here?"

"I could not leave my best friend locked up in the local mental institution for life, now could I?"

   He dared not voice how felt because he had no idea if she felt the same. Besides, he needed to get out of there first.

    Marinette got up, pulled a bag from the closet, and stuffed the few belonging she had inside.

   She made the bed look like she was asleep in it.

      Adrien watched as she handed him the bag. He saw the room set ablaze as the two jumped out the window. He had no idea what just happened. He did not ask. He ran.  She ran.

  The two ran as fast they could far away from there as they could.

 A  cat meowed, a dark barked, an owl hooted, and the sky was dark with a fog of smoke.

    A girl dressed in black ran outside. She begged him to remove the chains that held her.

    Adrien smirked as he used a special tool to cut the chains in half. As they fell to the ground, he heard her howl.

     He never knew werewolves existed. He always thought those were just part of fantasy books.

    He ran towards the direction Marinette had gone. He found her.

"Marinette?"

 "Adrien!"

  Marinette swung her arms around him. Adrien hugged her as well.

     The two were so caught up in the moment they did not hear the stranger who held the needle in her left hand say, "Hold still this may sting a little."

   Plagg heard it and he took the chance. He bit the lady heard and she dropped the needle. The solution got everywhere. and she grew angrier with each passing moment.  

    Plagg ran off. Tikki did the same. 

     The two caught up to Adrien and Marinette. Adrien took a look at Plagg and agreed to take care of him from then on and Marinette did the same with Tikki.

         Marinette and Tikki thanked Adrien and Plagg for all their help.  

         "Anything for you, Mari."

      Adrien held a single strand of hair in his hand as he sniffed her.

       "Why so c-close?  For a moment there I thought you were going to kiss me."  Marinette muttered.

        Adrien smirked. He saw her eyes close. He seized the moment. He leaned in and she did the same.

          "Mari, I hope you know that I love you."

        Marinette blushed but was to shocked to answer.  She hoped he did not notice.

          Adrien kissed her.  Marinette felt like she might pass out. She kept her cool and slowly returned the kiss.

       "Does this mean you love me, too?"

    "Take a wild guess, Adrien Agreste!"

      Adrien was happier than he had been in years.  "Yes, you do?"

    "I do!"

Marinette and Adrien dated secretly for six months. The two got engaged, continued to date, and a year later were wed.

    "Hey, you sure that is how it happened, Plagg?"

     "Sure thing, Tikki!"

    "Okay, if you say so, stinky sock."

     After the wedding, the two enjoyed a nice honeymoon in Hawaii.

      Now, nearly six months later, Marinette has something important to share with Adrien. What do you think it is?
