Description:

Elizabeth shudders in grief when she sees the news. She hears that the reporters and everyone else say Hank was trapped in the building that was on fire. They say the flames are getting higher, and higher.  She feels like she can't breathe. What can she do?

Elizabeth's POV:

   I can't do anything to help him. I sob.

   "Girl, pull yourself together, you are a hero," I hear a voice say. I look up to see Flagg, Plagg's twin looking at me. "Flagg, how can I help him?" I ask. "You transform and you go look for him!"Flagg says. He knows that Hank means more to me than I can say.

     I nod my head. "Flagg, claws on!" I said. I feel a green and black light surround me. I transform into the hero, Lady Chat. I run off to search for him. For Hank, the one I have come to love.

     I have to find him. I can't let him die in the fire.

I ran as fast as I could and leaped over some fallen buildings. I arrived at the one on fire and screamed as the beam almost hit me.  I jumped out of the way and entered the building. I was grateful for the updated suit which included a firefighter's mask, some oxygen, boots, and other helpful things. I used the axe to bust my way into the back room. I entered it and saw him passed out. I lifted him onto my back and ran out of there.

Once outside the building collapsed from the flames. I saw a firefighter trying to put out the fire but it was no use. It had spread to another place, and I saw Ladybug, Chat Noir, Miss Platypus, Queen Bee, King Rooster, Kid Zebra (though she was way older), and Carapace standing around helping assist the people outside. Rena Rogue arrived late.

      I carried Hank to the hospital on the other side of town. I laid him on a gurney and noticed his lips were gray. I used a small tool to check his pulse. I could not find one. I could not lose him. I had to tell him. I gave him CPR. I saw his chest start to rise and fall and felt his breath against my right cheek as he came back. Thank goodness.

      "Help him, please!" I said. I had not told anyone my identity. I had said that he was a friend of a friend.  I left after, I was assured they would do all they could for him.

         The next day, I visited him in my civilian form. I told them a friend had told me I could find him here. I did not tell them, who the friend was because that would lead to too many questions. Questions, I rather not deal with right now. I entered his room and he smiled at me.

      "Elizabeth," He said. He coughed as he spoke.

     "Hank, I came as soon as I heard," I said. I did not tell him how I knew he was here. It was a bit complicated. "It is good to see you,"  He said. I cringed as I heard him cough some more.

     The doctors and nurses had told me with all the smoke he inhaled they felt there was no hope for him. I was not so sure. "Hank, how are you holding up?" I asked. "As good as I could be, I heard some friend of yours brought me here, but I am sure it was you," He said. He placed a hand on mine. "Still a flirt, I see," I remarked. "Yes, but only with you, Lady Chat, I know it is you," He said.  "What? How?" I asked. "I have known for a while now because I am a hero too," He said. "You a hero, pff, as if,"  I teased him. I refused to believe it. "I know you don't believe me, but I am a hero," He said. 

      "Oh, yeah,  that is not possible," I protested. "Look, I know, we have not always seen eye to eye, but I am a hero. I am rather new at the job, but I help fight alongside Ladybug, Chat Noir, Lady Chat, Miss Playtapus, Carapace, Rena Rogue, Queen Bee, King Rooster, and Kid Zebra," He explained. " But that means, you are Skunk Boy," I said.  I felt my voice crack as I spoke. "Yes, that is me," He flashed me a cheesy grin. "Don't cry, Miss Lady Chat," He said when saw my tears.

     "I can't help it, I feel for Skunk Boy, then for you, only to find out you are the same. Both boys are the same,"  I said. I was stunned.  I know how Ladybug felt about finding out Chat Noir's identity. I was sad. I did not want it to be him. I know it is crazy, but I wished anyone else to be him. How could I love the same boy, twice?  Only to find out I might lose him.

    "Elizabeth, it is okay, I love you both sides. I loved you before I found out you were a hero too," He said.  He reached up with his other hand and placed it on my left cheek. He whispered, "I love you, and always will Miss Cat."  He kissed my cheek and when my tears didn't stop, he brushed his lips against mine. "I don't care if cats and skunks are not together in real life, we are good together, you and I." He stated. "I want to be with you, no other girl will do. So, what do you say?  Will you be my girlfriend?" He asked. I nodded my head. I  kissed him this time, and he returned it with a kiss. I longed to kiss him more, but how could I?  I sensed he was leaving me. He was dying and there was nothing I could do to save him. I had been too late the other day.

         "I am so happy, I promise to be good to you," He said. Cough, ...cough, cough..."I will make it up to you, somehow, I will," He remarked. He wiped the tears away with his thumb and kissed me again. I closed my eyes afraid to let the moment end. I could not let him go. It would break me if he died. I had promised to be his and I would.

     Even if it broke me, I would remain true to him, my Hank, My Skunk Boy all in one. I would love him forever.

She is the adopted daughter of Adrien and Marinette Agreste,  her siblings are Hugo, Emma, and Louis Agreste.
