Marinette's Wish by Summer Cheng (@SummerCheng37)

     Description

Have you ever wished to walk in someone else's shoes for a day?   Marinette does, and she is about to experience it.  So get some snacks, water, soda, milk, or Gatorade.

    Tikki's POV:

I woke up this morning aware of something important.

I knew my holder was unhappy.

How?  Glad you asked, "It is my kwami senses."

"You see, we kwami's can sense a distressed holder from as far as one hundred miles away."

"I  could tell Marinette was not feeling like her usual perky self."

Everyone else could notice this too.

"Marinette, what is with the glume look Dupain-Cheng?"  Chole remarks.

"Hey, leave her alone, Chole!  Everyone has bad days." Max states.

"Marinette, girl, why are you so out of it?  Whatever happened to my usual, fun-loving, optimistic best friend?"

"Girl, you look like something the cat dragged in from the rain, only it is not raining outside.  What is up with you?" Kim adds in his two cents worth.

I listened in as her classmates pointed out her strange state of mind.

The last one to say something to her before Miss Bustier showed up was Adrien Agreste.

Adrien had this to say about it, "Marinette, is it just me, or are you sad?"

"It is nothing okay, so chill," Marinette claims.

I could tell the others could not believe her, and neither did I.

I had to get to the bottom of it.  Lila was not in school today, so that was not it.

Hmm, what could it be?  I closed my eyes and did a mind link with her.

I would try to explain it, but it is way too complicated.

           Marinette's grandmother died.

           No wonder she was sad.

Then, she found out Alya is moving soon.   She feels like she will be torn apart from her after the move.

            Finally, there was her wish.

              I nodded my head.

             I stood back to watch.

Marinette ran out the door and smacked into Adrien on the sidewalk.

"Ouch, that was going to leave  a bruise."

Marinette took on his form, and he passed out.

I cringed as she arrived at the mansion, entered his room, and sat on his bed.

I laughed as she screamed at the reflection in the mirror.

I did not have time to explain how the wish worked.

I let it run its course.

Marinette acted like him so much it is almost easy to forget it was Adrien 2.0 I was seeing.

I was glad Nathalie, Gabriel, and the Gorilla had not caught on.

I  breathed a sigh of relief when the day drew to a close. I saw Marinette as she bumped into Adrien again. This time they switched back to normal.

   Poor Adrien was so confused.

"Marinette, I am so sorry, I was not looking where I was going."

"Sorry, Adrien, you do not need to be sorry. I am sorry you lost your mother. Sorry, your life is so horrid. I never knew. Why did not you tell me?"

I could see the shocked look in his eyes as he hugged her.  "Don't tell anyone!"

I could hear the pleading in his voice as he spoke.

"Adrien, I promise not to tell a single soul."

I smiled as  Adrien wiped a tear from her cheek.

"It is okay, Mari, I have you and as long as I do I will be great!"

I  blushed as Adrien kissed her!

I fangirled big time. Whoa, what has he done with the "just a friend phase?"

I clapped and gave a silent "Woo hoo!"

Marinette was taken by surprise by the kiss but kissed him too.

"I do not understand, I thought you hated me."

"Adrien, I could never hate you. Not ever."

I smiled. Things were looking up.

Hmm, I suppose her wish made things just as they should be.

    Yes!

   Marinette and I headed home.

   Adrien went home as well.

No one asked him where he had been since they did not notice him as he sneaked to his room.

"You see they never noticed the difference between Adrien 2.0 and the real Adrien. They naturally did not see when the two were swapped back."

     the end

    Until the next one,

bye-bye, little owlets!

Summer out!
