Description:  Kim challenges Alix to a kickball game after school.  What happens when one of them gets hurt?

    Kim's  POV:

      I see Alix is all set for it.

     I smile at her.

   I am sure  I will do better than she will at this.

   "Alix kicks the ball, and it sores."

    I watch in shock as she scores a goal.

     I get the ball back and have a go at it.

    I trip over a hole in the ground made by a mole.

     I must have had the wind knocked out of me.

    I wake up in the school nurse's office.

    I see this redhead girl staring at me.

    "Alix?"

    "Kim, you are not dead. Oh, I am so glad." 

     Before I can say another word, she hugs me.

         I hug her back.

     "Alix, I am glad I am not dead either.  How did I end up here?"

   "Well, after you tripped out there, you blackened out.  I let the teacher know, and she called the nurse."

     "Oh, so you were worried about me?"

    "Yes, but if you tell anyone, I will deny it."

       Alix laughs. Kim blushes at how cute her laugh sounds.

         Kim reaches out and grabs her hand. He sees her blush. He smirks.

         "What is with that face?"

        "Oh, you mean this one?" Kim inquires as he stands up rather close to her.

        What is on his mind?  Alix wonders.

            Kim kisses her as the school nurse watches.  The nurse thinks, awe, young love.
