Is this real? Smiles one-shot story by Summer Cheng (@SummerCheng37)

Description: Sabrina is so happy to see him.  Miles is right here.

Sabrina's  POV:

"Miles, I can not believe it!"

   "Believe, what, Sabrina?"

   "You came to see me!"

   "I told you I would!"

I smile as I hug him.

It is so amazing.   A few years ago, during a class trip to New York, I met Miles.

The two of us have kept in touch ever since.

"Sabrina, want to get something to eat?"

"Are you asking me out on a date?"

"Yes, I mean if you want to go on a date with me."

   " I would love to!"

     I am so excited.

I go with Miles to the luggage claim department, then to a taxi that awaits us outside.

Now, I am with him at a local restaurant.

The two of us are seated right away.

I look over the menu and gasp. It is way more expensive than I expected.

I am about to protest and insist we go elsewhere.

"Do not worry, Sabrina, I have got this. Just order whatever you want."

    I nod my head.

When the waiter returns to the table I order a side salad with ranch dressing, a steak cooked well done, and a Sprite.

Miles orders the same expect he asks for a baked potato as well.

The date goes better than ever. The food when it is served is delicious, and the company is great.

    "I had a great time."

   "So, did I."

"Want to do it again, sometime?"

"M-Miles, you want to go with me again?"  I ask in surprise.

"Yes, I like you ever so much Sabrina."

"I like you too, M-Miles." I hear myself stutter again. Great now I sound like Marinette when she tries to talk to Adrien Agreste.

Miles takes me home and kisses me on the front porch.

The kiss was something miraculous as I have never been kissed quite like that before and it was even better because it was my first kiss.

   I kiss him back.

My dad chooses that moment to open the door. Miles leaves, I wave by to him with this dopey look on my face.

I  know then, I love him.  Too bad, I cannot tell him yet.

I pinch myself to see if this is real.  "Ouch, that hurt!"

    Yes, it is real, alright.

 the end,

bye-bye, little owlets!

Summer out!
